Somebody save me please

This has been the absolute worse wireless experience. I called twice. They could not help. Then told me to take the modem in myself. Will do so tomorrow. Cannot watch TV, just buffers all the time. The internet is super slow and cannot use in other areas of the house. I am so frustrated. If nothing happens tomorrow will have to look at Spark. Contact broadband was even better, pity they don't do wireless. So unhappy

So incompetent

So incompetent. On moving my 80 year old uncle from his home to a retirement village, endless dramas. The distress, of NOT being able to connect, terrible service that took weeks, to try and get a proper service that actually works, at a reasonable cost for a man that makes 5 phone calls a week, was unbelievable. Go with Spark, at least they are HERE for help. As I have become my uncles EPOA and the endless times in the past years, where they just disconnected him, and had him on a plan, then when it finished ROLLED him over to open, expensive, top of the line price, with out checking in with him, blows my mind. YOu have had more than your pound of flesh from him.

Horrible horrible service

Horrible horrible service. They’re so stingy that they removed most of the features on the app which helps you track your data, calls, and text that you’re left with. Absolutely horrible company, terrible customer service, overpriced for what you’re paying for. I genuinely have no criticism to share about most companies I encounter Vodafone is just plain disgusting.

After several weeks of phone calls where accent was so hard to understand I gave in during the week and finally yes finally got a vodafone customer service man with skills like no other. Within a few minutes he sorted my home line problem. I still can't believe how easy it was when both sides of conversation was understandable. Please vodafone may it continue. Is their intention really to scam the elderly?

My wife is in a rest home and suffers from early onset dementia and other ailments. Years ago I set her up with a vodafone prepay, you know, $20 top up when you run low. When she went into the home they had a visiting group help the residents with using their phones, iPads, whatever and my wife changed to 2 degrees keeping her old number. Bad move. Then she went back to vodafone as 2 degrees didn't work for her, another bad move as she had also bought a better phone. Vodafone wouldn't let her keep her old number and said she needed to get a new sim card. Okay, new sim obtained, but along with that she was also given a new number and a new update, prepay became prepay - $20 flexi plan. Does a dementia person understand the difference? Not in this case, after all the web site says it's still prepay but adjust to suit your needs. She doesn't need a flexi plan as it was only there for if she gets lost while out and needed me to go find her. So a couple of months into this and she starts getting inundated with texts to make sure she doesn't run out of credit which she took as okay, time to add more money. Then she updated to a $30 prepay flexi plan to make sure she stayed in credit, still getting texts so I had a look, yes, $41 credit left so definitely no need to pay more. When I spoke to her about the plan and her need for that amount of monthly payment when she is not using the phone a lot she spoke to the home management, they said most of the residents were on skinny which was ample for their needs. My wife then changed to skinny which is where the fun starts. She applied to vodafone for her credit to be refunded, received an email saying they would get back to her in 3 days. No follow up so off goes another request asking for acknowledgement and how long was it going to take? A response said 3 working days. Then a response that they do not refund on prepay accounts and that her account was closed. At this point I took over and contacted the help desk which gave no help so I requested a manager. Okay, one would contact me the next day. 5 days later meet Rafique Lakhani on line, no help forthcoming and continually asking to repeat what he was saying as not able to understand his brogue but, eventually, get an agreement that he would refer it back to the payment query department and someone would get back to me. Next contact was Rafique again with the news that they do not issue refunds and unused credit expires after 360 days, a refund couldn't be issued to the phone as it had been cancelled with vodafone and was inactive so it was not available for the refund to be issued. I then gave him the option to place the refund on my phone which is with vodafone and definitely active, another prepay so meets the criteria but, no, not possible.
What does the website say about flexi plan? Carry over unused data and minutes, unlimited texts and unused credit expires after 360 days but apparently, this is not applicable if you terminate the contract. You lose everything under vodafone terms but it doesn't say that anywhere on the web which is where we all look to see the terms. This is an ongoing complaint and will be escalated to Fair Go if they don't come to the party. Be warned, this is not a reputable company in my estimation.

So awful

So awful. I notified Vodafone 4 weeks ago and guess what?
I already missed 3 days of work because there is no internet at the new place.
Spoke to the whole customer centre which I think is not based in NZ so they don't have any idea of internet and services here.
16 calls in the last week and still here... using the library internet.

I paid my bill last night using the mobile app, twice it bounced back into my account, twice I paid $5.69 convenience fee, bloody inconvenient. Now I can't pay my bill because according to my app there is $0 to pay. I tried calling, after 40 minutes of listening to scratchy music I finally spoke to a real person who couldn't help with this problem at all. He offered to help me by explaining options to pay my bill, such as using my app....

Wednesday went into Vodafone Rotorua I was apprehensive as the Tauranga Crossing store staff are rude , patronising and completely disinterested in helping even though I have been with Vodafone for years .
The difference in the Rotorua store was incredible I ended up being helped by three different young men who went above and beyond. I also noticed they treated other customers with the same delightful manner .
Thank you Rotorua vodafone you should go to Tauranga and teach them some customer skills👍

Was originally with Saturn great company However we've had Vodafone after many changes. The pain the hurt trying to get Vodafone customer service the hold on then finally getting a person whom's English can't understand, The over charges with the we don't care pay up and shut up. Hey Jason Paris have a look at all the Vodafone complaints lately? My Broadband was disconnected plus my landline for 3 weeks.. I couldn't get any action from customer service, Finally after many hours i'm trying to make them understand with them saying yes yes yes!!
I'm still with Vodafone as I finally had some very nice people here in New Zealand sort out issues to my satisfaction That was after i emailed Jason Paris, ( I thought I may have got a personal reply) But hey Jason Paris understand. Most employees I try to contact a second time have left.
However we've now been informed our TV will be affected from September 22. When will this company stop changing peoples service? I still say the slick fast promising anything talking Indian whom told me all would be faster and cheaper just pay an few more dollars sadly hasn't worked out that way the WiFi is still same lack of speed ( being told it'd be faster) Jason Paris get your lame backside into gear read and take in what us customers are saying specially as we pay your wages

I set up Vodafone with my elderly Mum…

I set up Vodafone with my elderly Mum in the Whangarei store... they accepted me as EPOA and email bills to me. All was well until an amount of $88.88 was added to the latest bill as a donation. No recipient listed and Mum doesn't remember anything about it... Vodafone are claiming she has to phone them and authorize me to access her account details... Not easy with short term memory loss and easily confused. My other option is to go into a store an hour away. In covid times this is ridiculous...
Seems like the donation is a scam to me

Poor service overall

I would not recommend Vodafone NZ to anyone. They have poor customer service and really don't care about their customers. In-store, sales assistants aren't happy to help you and often don't even know about sales or plans on offer by the company. Calling for help is a nightmare, when you aren't on hold you're generally talking to someone who just sees you as a number and isn't happy help. Worse company to deal with in my experience.

Don't recommend this business for worst service

Don't recommend this business for several reasons. 1) their packages are pricy. For the same broadband Fiber 100, they sell $80 while some other companies sell Fibre 300 at $79 with 4 months free. They won't show you the package on your invoice so you won't know it. 2) They charge you a late payment fee ($16+GST)while at the same time they stop your internet until they receive your payment. 3)the customer service is inconsistent as they outsource that to some other countries. Always took long time to sort out the issues. 4) The App really sucks and confusing. 5) No way/Hard to check your own account online. Needs a lot of information but has no idea of where to find them. Very confusing. Never seen a business doing service like this.

Pathetic and useless customer service…

Pathetic and useless customer service via chat that is possibly outsourced so they don't give a ***k. Vodafone kept on overcharging me for roaming based on wrong information given to me by their staff from an Auckland store. I then proceeded to contact their online chat which was a mistake and a total waste of time. Someone mentioned here about appalling customer service from an Indian guy who won't even transfer the call to his supervisor. This could be the same person. I just wasted my time explaining to someone on chat named Vasim to contact his manager and ask if I can verify my ID another way but he kept on giving me the same stupid excuse that he could not reveal private details. I had to keep reiterating I was not asking for him to reveal anything. I simply wanted for him to confer with his manager if there was an alternative method. If the manager said no, then fine but he would not even give me the courtesy, as his client, to ask his supervisor. I have been with Vodafone for many many years but hiring bad representatives and over charging are unacceptable.

Dishonest reprobates

Utterly disgusting sack of rotten filth of a "telecommunications company" (what a misnomer that is). Constantly incorrect and overcharging on their billing. Misleading advertising that sneakily hides the fact they don't include GST. I could go on and on but I have better things to do than give this dishonest sack of faeces of a 'company' any more of my time.

Worse is my home fiber broadband. Daily outages. Appalling connectivity. I will be getting out of my contract with this sorry excuse of a mobile and internet 'provider' as soon as humanly possible. All complaints ignored.

Let down in service

I have been a Vodafone customer for many years and have noticed the deteriorating customer service.
* 2 accounts created on my name ended up in me receiving 2 invoices. After several emails and follow ups and false promises was rectified.(Causing distress and unnecessary follow up for me)
* Lack of team work and individual responsibility was noticed with several technical issues.
* Wrong invoice without discounted price was sent 2 times. Upon requests and follow up, I was promised the issue would be taken care of; however; an increased amount wrong invoice has landed in my inbox this month again.

Like others would rate minus 5.

Like others would rate minus 5.
was with vodafone on ordinary data with wifi landline phone.decided to upgrade to 5g [often only goes 4g] with unlimited data [as I joined sky sport app].Took new modem home,it failed to work, took back to shop, after an hour said it was fixed.plugged it in computer worked, phone did not.Rang helpline, transfered from pillar to post, eventually demanded to speak with a supervisor, she said would send out a tech guy.3 weeks later he came found we had been given a faulty cable, when he got the phone to go sky sport stopped working,he spent over an hour, got things going, but said the modem was probably faulty & if it played up again phone & request a replacement.Everyday it would play up & I would have to unplug everything & plug in again to get it to go,emailed the supervisor several times & requested a replacement, eventually told it was on its way, that was 7 days ago, still waiting!!!The only thing they were quick on was the bill [which they overcharged me $10 month] for the past 2 months.Sorry to say I signed up for 12 months, cant wait to change to a reliable company.Just an update for you another week passed & nothing from vodafone,so I lodged a complaint with TDR,2 days later I get a call from vodafone CH CH to sort out my problems, after a couple of hours on the phone, the guy agreed 5g was no good for my location & was going to reduce my monthly payments & put me on 4g,he also booked a tech guy to visit in 3 days time to install everything [fingers crossed it all works out].He did tell me that they never send out modems & did not know why I was told they were sending one.Moral of the story so far,go to TDR if you want some action, will update how things go next week.
Happy to say tech guy came changed modem [now on 4g] connected everything to it & for the past week its all worked perfect & seems to be no slower than 5g.Hope it lasts!!
