Wash Me UK is redefining the laundry experience. As of 2020, there are less than 600 launderettes throughout the entirety of the UK. Answering the market’s ongoing need for convenience and control over washing larger bulks and bigger items, Wash Me is the only laundry service that is able to put the power of washing back in the customer’s hands. Wash Me offer rapid solutions for customers on the go, delivering consistently perfect washes through its 9kg and 20kg drums; perfect for clothes, duvets and cushions. Every machine provides eco-friendly solutions through optional solar panels, automatic light sensors that turn off and on depending on customer vicinity, and free eco-friendly detergent included in each wash. As well as washing, the dryer provides options for your laundry depending on temperature and material type. Aligned with the company’s wider mission of Making Easy work of everyday tasks, Wash Me machines are designed to automate as much of the process as possible. If a customer leaves their laundry unattended, the machine will remain locked until the time has elapsed. A free of charge text reminder is also sent to the customer’s device a few minutes before the wash has finished, and payments are easier than ever with machines now accepting contactless payment.

Good customer service
Good customer service. I wanted some extra help after using the photo booth to print passport photo. Customer service was prompt, courteous and helpful.
You wanted my personal information for a refund, have this review instead
There’s about a 50% chance that any given machine will not be working, or will fail at some point in the payment or wash or drying process, necessitating contacting their customer services. Previously they would refund directly to your card, but now want a bunch of personal information before they will issue a refund. Keep your £3.50, and have this review instead.
Don't bother
not sure what's happening and why all your machines seem to be falling apart, but just tried a 20kg wash in Bolton, at BL26HP, no site code on the machine again, first up the was failed with 22 mins left, but left my clothes sitting in a pool of water, so have spent another 2*30 minutes in the dryer, but I'm not sure that's working correctly either as it didn't get anything more than slightly warm to the touch and my clothes are still sopping. So, I'm down £30, got a pile of half washed, still soaking clothes and have wasted 2 hours of my life, plus I still need to wash my clothes......Honestly, the service used to be good, but everything seems to be falling apart at the moment

Couldn’t complete payment because of repeated connection errors. No clear support option either. Disappointing.
Used their washing machine to do a…
Used their washing machine to do a duvet and then whilst the programme ran their drying option simply gave up so headed to another location and the ability to pay was disabled wasted an hour and settled on a proper service..don't waste your time
You'll get a parking fine while waiting for your laundry
Great laundry facilities but I got fined for using the Morrison's car park in Coventry while waiting for my laundry! The laundry is literally in the Morrison's car park. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.
Expensive, poor customer service, poor washing performance
Expensive! Duvet didn’t even smell like it had been washed, unfortunately I accidentally dropped my phone while loading the machine and it went into the casing surrounding the machine, was a lock at the front so I called wash.me customer services to help me, got told someone would be in the area in the next couple of weeks and would get my phone out then for me! Maybe give whoever you rent the space from (in my case Morrisons store) a spare key incase of emergencies so the casing can be opened! (someone else using the machine almost dropped her car keys down the same gap)
I'll start with....
I'll start with....
I didn't even get past the starting gate.
The App is "having an update"
When was this initiated and when will it be ready "don't know. It's another department "
That doesn't leave me with much confidence.
"It's entirely up to you."
So you won't placate my concern in having confidence in your products?
"No"
I left...would not recommend on the grounds of:
1. Customer Service
2. IT technical issues
3. Disregard for any inconvenience to customers
4. Nothing on their website is helpful
Machine broke terrible customer service and help
Machine broke locking my washing in the machine rang the "help line" and told an engineer would be dispatched urgently after waiting an hour rang back as the car park closed soon only to find out that the office shuts at I guess 4pm. Managed to get someone via WhatsApp of all things only to be told the call out is 24hr and I shouldn't of waited and the engineer will call me or leave my clothes at the local shop where it's situated. So now I have no work clothes no idea when I'll actually get them back and I'm furious at the suggestion at my clothes being left with some random shop. Wasn't even offered the price of the wash back as a token of good faith. Only had to use it as Currys have taken over 4 weeks to fix my washer which is still under warranty and this kinda feels like the icing on the cake.
Absolutely waste of time. Don’t work and no support
The idea of large machines is great for duvet etc but absolutely appalling service. Machines don’t work. Call them they say sending engineer out - in a few hours!! This defeats the purpose of the whole quick wash at your convenience to save time. Doesn’t refund when you can’t use the the service. Lost money yesterday. Can’t see why there can’t be a refund button if service is not used Gave up came back. Others more local waiting said if washing machine works dryer doesn’t or other way round. The guy had been coming there to check. More expensive than manned launderettes though self service with no support should be cheaper so why bother. I thought I’d give it try after seeing advert. Time waster. Never again
No spin, washing drenched
Used the larger washer (20kg) for my duvet
Started with a huge spin, wash lasted about 20mins.
On taking the duvet out of the machine I noticed it was drenched with water, I expected it to be spun and just damp.
The water was running out of it. I think there’s something wrong with the programme. As the spin happened at the start not the end of the wash.
Not very happy, I would like to know who I can report the problem to.
Should have listened to all those bad…
Should have listened to all those bad reviews.
After 40 minutes washed for £11 : result was awful = still dirty clothes
30 minutes dry for £7 = damp clothes
I wished that I could take my money back and never used it again!
Go back to local laundrette
I used Wash.ME I wouldn't used again
I used Wash.ME - Karan Retail Ltd (TN19 7HN) to wash and dry a king size duvet. After cleaning out all the pet hair from a previous wash (why is there no drum clean programs between washes?) and I'm dog owner but there was so much pet hair on the area it was laughable. I washed at 60c but not too convinced there was any detergent used! I saw no significant lather or smelt any scented. That was £13 then another £7 for 30min dryer. I wouldn't use again, I think there should be a public board of then the machines were last serviced and refilled AND cleaned!
My washing got stuck in the washing…
My washing got stuck in the washing machine so I contacted the customer service team however it was a Sunday. But they got back to me straight thing Monday morning asking if I have resolved the problem, We managed to get the washing out. The customer service is a solid 10/10 due to the inconvenience I got a full refund. Ever credit to the customer service team !
Broken dryer but took money
Used the Mole Avon Crediton location washing machine did work and detergent apparently included, but some items still came out dirty. Then paid for the dryer and this did not work. Tried again and it took the money again, but again would not work. Had to take wet items back. Tried to call - rubbish service, just stupid music and automated voice said to press button 1 etc for 20 minutues, no response. Gave up. Would never use again.
Rip off no detergent, clothes dirty.
It doesn't merit 1 Star. Hooley Bridge service station, Bury, BL9. I spent over £30 filling two washers, then drying them. Once I got home, I realised my washing was still dirty. What a complete and utter waste of time. Despite paying for pre-wash, detergent, softener and sanitiser, it would appear that none was dispensed. I will never get back these couple of hours of my life. I complained, and they said they would refund the money, but it's not in my bank account yet! Terrible service. Never again.
No internet connection on 3 machines!
Okay. I feel stupid for even bothering to try to use wash.me machines. Tried 2 washers in one town, no internet connection. Reported both machines. Told it'll take 24 hours for maintenance to come out. Drove 35 mins to the next machine in another town. No internet connection. I'm not wasting my time reporting this one. I'm sticking to indoor launderettes from now on. This is the worst company (maintenance -wise) that I've ever encountered.
I like it
I like it - it's a really good idea. I have encountered a problem with payment - not connected to the internet and so can't take payment. But there was another rank of machines right alongside so I used them without any issues. Put the washing in, go do some shopping and have a bite to eat, collect the washing. Easy.
Complete waste of time
Complete waste of time. Loaded up my washing and then spent 5 minutes trying to get it to take payment. Constantly saying no internet connection. Couldn’t see a number to phone so just left. Won’t be using it again.
Wash Me, Basingstoke - AVOID AVOID AVOID
Wash Me in Basingstoke sits in a tiny scruffy muddy pot hole filled service lane behind a petrol station, off the main ring road. Most of the space is taken up by a hand car wash company. Pulled my car over and parked in front of two other cars, loaded the 20kg machine, chose programme, went to pay but card reader gave message “no internet”. Tried over and over, but had to give up and take duvets back to my car as other machine being used. Only then saw a notice from private parking firm on side of Wash Me unit stating absolutely no stopping, no waiting. Then realised these notices were also on poles around the service lane. Could not read in detail as did not have my glasses on. How on earth are you meant to take laundry to one of these machines if you are not reasonably allowed to unload a car? I can understand the no waiting, the area is not conducive to lingering, looking as if the landscaping has been designed by fly tippers, but surely by installing the Wash Me setup, they are inviting you to drive there. So in summary, machine not working and threats of a parking charge from a private company just for trying to use a machine. I will not be going back!
