I wish I could comment on the quality of the flip flops but alas after a week (and having paid extra for ‘next day’ delivery ) I have not received the item . I urgently need them for a holiday .
It’s so disappointing when I tried to support a small , environmentally aware business . I have messaged them twice but have not received a reply . The annoyance too is having to pay return postage ( if they arrive ) when the business is at fault.

Consistently ordered from here for the past 5 years and Waves remains exceptional! Second class delivery only took a few days and I’m SO thrilled with my item! The yellow flip flops are a gorgeous pastel shade. Waves is such a staple of my holiday wardrobe - they’ve been so sturdy, comfy and reliable. I’ve taken them from Thai islands to Greek Islands and have 0 complaints. Love the sustainable and ethical ethos. Highly recommended

As stated in other reviews, the problem is getting the right size and the company's refusal to do exchanges when sizing is wrong. I ordered my normal shoe size, but these run VERY VERY small -- I needed two sizes larger!

You are left out of pocket, paying the extra postage and having to deal with poor customer service. Such a pity as the products are an excellent alternative to polluting plastic. I wish this company would sort themselves out -- they are letting down what should be a really attractive product.

I sent several emails and they never respond,been months!

Nothing but problems using this small business, which was disappointing as I always try to support small businesses.
1st order (22.07.24) - ordered size 6, do not do exchanges so had to return to only address given, a PO box as too small and place a new order.
2nd order (31.07.24) placed for size 7 - sent size 6. Email sent requesting in this instance an exchange as their error. Reply email stated "I was going to ask where are you seeing size 6, on the base of the shoe or under the strap as the sizing is under the strap". Order 2 also returned.
In the meantime, full refund for order 1 received - but also Royal Mail had returned the flipflops from order 1 with a sticker saying "addressee gone away" and to dispose of the item! When looking at these returned flipflops, it was clear the size was 5 (remember I'd ordered size 6!) and 5 was clear on the base AND under the strap. Photos taken for proof.
Another email sent informing Waves of the above and eventually a full refund for order 2.
A whole month of trying to purchase eco-friendly flip flops to take on holiday with me - which wasn't possible when using Waves Flip Flops UK.
Communication was slow, wrong sizes being sent, excuses made that the real size is under the strap instead of admitting their error.
I hope anyone using this small business has much better customer service than I did.

ordered in March. I love the company ethic and to have fully compostable footwear is exceptional. They're at the vanguard of sustainability. Sadly for me though, I wore them out first time today and they rub something chronic. 2 blisters on each foot from just one wear :( Had planned many outings for them but I'm going to have to rest them awhile, and put my old knackered O'Neills back on (am already having post c-section pain so don't need to add to it, lol). Maybe others have hardier feet than me. Past experience hasn't been good for 'breaking in' flip flops but I can but hope. Bit of a disappointing outcome.

I bought my first pair over a year ago and I'm now using them as a backup pair at my parents house as they are a bit worn out (but still very usable).

Bought a new pair on Saturday, they were dispatched on Monday and they arrived on Thursday, matching the size and colour ordered.

My experience so far has been great as they are durable, provide better support than cheaper flip-flops, decent price and sustainable materials. Additionally I love the little W branding all over the sole.

When the time comes, I think I'll be on for a third pair. 😃

I was looking for a pair of flip flops for my upcoming vacation to the Caribbean. Thankfully, I stumbled across this company and loved its ethos: sustainable, Fairtrade and eco-conscious! Picked 2nd class shipping and it arrived today [Wednesday] after ordering on Sunday. I wasn't sure at all what to expect from this company but I'm blown away by how fantastic my first time ordering has been! Highly recommended.
