I'm in California and I'd been on the hunt for a PRS Private Stock guitar for some time. After looking high and low, and considering ordering a new one to my specs, I happened to come across a beauty while searching online. It was at Wildwire and I thought, "too bad it's in England. It's just what I'm looking for, but there's no way I'm going to spend that kind of money based only on photos without seeing and feeling it first, not to mention the potential pitfalls of dealing with strangers I know nothing about located 8000 miles away."

I did notice positive reviews from other customers in the USA, so I couldn't resist calling to get more information on the guitar and to discuss the price. I spoke with Leon Downes, a true gentleman and consummate professional.

To make a long story short, Leon quickly created a high comfort level for me and I proceeded to do what I had pledged not to - make an expensive purchase sight unseen from a foreign country no less, and I purchased the guitar from Leon. To my amazement, It arrived via FedEx in two days and even the packaging was in great condition after the long journey to the west coast of the USA.

The guitar was exactly as Leon and his high quality photos had depicted it and in absolutely pristine condition. It's actually such a work of art that I'm afraid to touch it!

The professional treatment and excellent customer service I received was exactly what one would expect when purchasing a new Rolls Royce and the agreed upon price was more than fair for such a fine instrument. My experience was beyond all my expectations and I could not be happier. I would advise Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page to purchase their instruments from Wildwire Music if they are not already doing so -- tell Leon that I sent you.

I saw a couple of PRS guitars online and searched for the right one, prs se custom 24, prs se 245, and some signature models. After looking ALL over i came across Wild Wire Music and i had to go and try them.
I drove down from Scotland and was instantly greeted by the most friendly and helpful staff. They weren't pushy or sale orientated, it felt more like 'here is our collection try this'.
after keeping them open too long i decided on the prs se 245 and an Orange TH30.
They didn't have the correct colour of guitar in store that day and got me the right one direct from PRS the next day.
All in all great customer satisfaction.
i'm already thinking about going back for another guitar as they have new stock.

I have nothing but praise for Wildwire Music. Buying an expensive guitar over the internet can lead to some buyer insecurity. Is this shop reliable? Will my payment transfer properly? How long will I have to wait? In what condition will the guitar arrive?

Not only was Leon of Wildwire courteous, helpful and quick to respond. He walked the extra mile by answering some technical questions, helping me out with online payment options and reassuring me about packaging and shipment.

Drove 140 mile to wildfire music as I had spoke to the boys on the phone about a guitar swap, and every mile was worth the visit, You cannot find a friendlier and more passionate bunch of guys who really care about there customers and the shop. I exchanged my Les Paul for a PRS McCarty and even though no money was exchanged the guys treated me as though I was spending thousands. To you guys Leon and the team once again thank you and it was a case of the first but it will definitely not be the last time I travel the 140 mile to visit them again I would recommend the shop to anyone who is looking for a guitar. Seen a few positive reviews of this website so I thought I would try them out and I was not disappointed at all. I ordered a blackstar amp at a very good price, much cheaper than all the other websites I had viewed. Because it was too heavy for the courier they personally delivered the amp themselves, they were very friendly and showed me how to work its features.

All in all extremely good service and I would recommend them to anyone!

A couple of months ago I purchased a PRS Custom 24 25th anniversary Sapphire Smoke Burst guitar from Wildwire Music and Audio. I was going to write this review sooner but I found that any spare time I had I was picking the guitar up and playing it. So anyway, finally here it is.
I fear my words can't do this guitar enough justice. You really have to play it to appreciate it. The guitar is certainly a work of art. The finish absolutely is top quality. But not only is it a very beautiful guitar, it is a pleasure to play. As soon as you start to play, your fingers can feel it is a top quality musical instrument. It is the best guitar I’ve played. Having said that, ultimately in the end, a guitar has to sound great, which of course it does. Whether you're after a beautiful warm clean tone or a heavy crunch tone or a wailing lead tone, the PRS can do it all.
I will also take this opportunity to thank Leon for his friendly and professional service. He took care of everything including shipping the guitar to Australia for me.

As a professional musician for the last 15 years I have had the experience of visiting and dealing with the majority of the guitar retailers in the U.K. Every single one of the aforementioned shops could learn a huge amount from the guys at Wildwire. I am still stunned by the quality of customer service I received and the range of impressive instruments on offer. Wildwire worked hard to source an unusual and 'difficult to find' colour of a PRS guitar that I wanted and they did so surprisingly quickly. When the guitar arrived it was instantly set-up to my liking; it's the best sounding, playing and looking guitar I have ever owned. I would be shocked to learn that even the most demanding of customer would leave the shop with anything less than a smile on their face. Shops like this aren't a dying breed, they're dead! This is the only guitar retailer that left me feeling like I was a truly valued and welcome customer.

I ordered a PRS Custom SE 24 2012 in blue whale and had it shipped to Germany (I couldn't find the guitar in any German store). It arrived within 3 days and shipping only cost £14.95.

The pictures, texts and data on the site are accurate and good, I am perfectly happy with everything.

a close friend told me how good his PRS SE was, so we went to Selby to see how good they are...... When we arrived, we got a very warm welcome from Steve, Steve's Dad, Chris and Leon, had an excellent coffee from the new coffee machine and did a lot of remeniscing. I had gone with the intension of getting the PRS SE245 but Steve advised me to try a selection as each guitar is different. How right he was. The feel of the 245 was not quite right, the Bernie Marsden version felt so much better and after I had plinked as best I could, I asked Steve to show me how it should be done. WOW. Deal done. I would recommend anyone who was thinking of buying a guitar to go to WildWire for friendly advise and an excellent coffee but best of all.... fantastic guitars.

Really helpful folks,only visited the shop once for a look around and came away undecided.Eventually made up my mind and went for the PRS SE245.Did the deal over the phone and it was delivered the next day as promised.The guitar is truly a thing of beauty and a dream to play---this from a lifelong adherent of Les Pauls!!!!So, praise indeed for the 245. I was first attracted to Wildwire by their website - easy to navigate, full of information, very high quality photography and videos. If it is on the website, it is in the shop.
The shop display reflects the website - products sparkling clean, clearly displayed and labeled. No rush from Steve or Leon to get down to business, instead a welcome cup of tea and a chat.
I was encouraged to try, and to compare different models. The whole experience was different to any other shop I have visited. A quality experience talking to people who are informed and informative, and who are committed to doing the absolute best they can for their customers. Every single copy of the model I selected was brought out so that I could choose the top I liked most. Brilliant service.

Ive just got back from wild wire in Selby after purchasing my first prs guitar. The guitar i chose was a lovely prs santana model. The lads in the shop helped me in every way possible, and gave me time to decide on exactly what i wanted. They even let me try various models to compare to the guitar i was lookng at. In the end i ended up buying a custom shop strat aswel! I cannot praise this company enough and would recommend it to anyone whether a new player or a veteran.

The Blackstar amp I wanted wasn't in stock anywhere but I found Wildwiremusics website and decided to give them an email.

Most websites claim to have items in stock, then when you order them, they debit your card and the item doesnt come for 2 months. On Wildwire Music, if the item is listed, it's in stock.

I emailed them at 12am and had a reply within 5 minutes, I couldn't believe it. I thought 'this isn't right, no-one has this level of service'

Well it appears wildwiremusic do. Leon responded to all my queries politely, honestly and quickly. He knocked a fiver off the delivery when I had a problem with the Amazon checkout. Then of his own accord checked the progress of the delivery and sent me an email to update me on when it would arrive.

I'm astonished by the service from such a small business, they appear to only have started out and I am in no doubt they will go a lot further.

HIGHLY recommended.

Stunning PRS HBII, absolutely delighted. Restrung, properly set up, clean and polished. Some nice extra "case candy". Great communications, got a real sense of integrity and honesty. The whole experience was first rate, and, as someone once said, "I'll be back"!

My experience with Wildwire Music was excellent and I can't complain about anything really. Leon was very helpful in answering all my questions and e-mails very quickly! This is of note since I live in the U.S. and we were dealing with the time difference, etc. I don't get responses as fast as Wildwire's when dealing with people here in the states! I bought a Duesenberg Starplayer TV and although the pictures they had of the guitar on the website were exceptional, he had no problem taking more high resolution photos and sending them to me as well after I asked. The guitar was amazing, plays and sounds great, and was just as described. Very professional, honest, and fair dealer. Lots of integrity, and that is unfortunately getting harder to find these days. Highly recommended and I will definitely buy from again.

I initially took my PRS Custom 24 in for a set up after two other guitar techs had done a less than perfect job. Steve took the time to set it up as PRS intended and did a great job, i came away with a 5 year old guitar which played better than when it was new.

The range which they stock is also worth a mention, as i have not found another PRS dealer in the north with such a variety of quality guitars.
