My website was really easy to build and looks great. The free version works well for me right now, but it's also good that there are options for more bells and whistles as my business grows.

Horrible customer service for long standing customers. Build website anywhere else. They are money hungry and will steal from you

I was charged €290 for an automatic renewal and contacted support immediately the same day requesting a refund.

The request was denied based on policy. After opening a dispute, the service was completely cancelled, meaning I paid for something I cannot use and never used.

Very disappointing experience. I would have expected a more reasonable approach in a case where no service was actually consumed.

My initial experience was very frustrating. I was charged for an automatic renewal that I did not intend, and my refund request was declined multiple times based strictly on policy, despite contacting support immediately and not using the service at all.

It took significant effort, escalation, and public feedback before the situation was properly reviewed.

Eventually, a Wix supervisor stepped in, carefully reassessed the case, and approved a full one-time courtesy refund, which I appreciate.

However, the process to reach this resolution was unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming.

While I recognize and value the final outcome, I believe the situation could and should have been handled more fairly from the start.

Worst site builder i have ever used. Trying to improve look for a portfolio site but it's almost impossible. Even AI gave up because of their strange tech stack and iframe issues. Stay faaaaar awwwaaay from it.

I had a very disappointing experience with Wix’s billing and online support.

I changed my plan from Business to Core before my subscription expired, following Wix’s own prompts from the existing subscription screen. Wix then sent confirmation emails saying the plan had been successfully changed, so I reasonably understood that the old plan had been replaced.

A few days later, I was charged again. Wix refused to refund the charge and treated the issue as if I had purchased a completely new subscription, even though the dashboard showed I only had one website and had already paid for the plan I intended to use.

The online support team did not properly review the evidence I provided and simply applied the standard renewal policy. In my experience, the plan-change process was confusing and misleading, and the support process did not properly investigate the issue.

I was super intimidated coming into this process. I’d never designed a website before…I didn’t know what to expect and most importantly, I didn’t want to mess it up.

The steps were clear cut and easy! My site is up and has heavy traffic flow already. I’m super impressed.

Wix is my go to platform for creating engaging websites. Love their back end system as well it provides you with all the things you need: analytics, behavior, traffic!

I used this to make my own buisness website without help from any one. The only time I needed to hire someone was to get my domain Name changed

The site is great, easy to edit and helps with customer bookings. However it has been in Portuguese for months and if you phone customer service they say it is a temporary issue they have resolved (?). The autorenewal policy is nuts. They take up to 25 days before the renewal date you get one email one month before (went into spam) and the autorenewal price is hiked up. This left me really short of cash for utility bills and food. In the end I paid an additional £17.44 and got three years instead of one years renewal. Although that was even more cash it at least was better value overall, but I will diarise for 2029 so I don't get caught out again. Customer service don't have a command of the English language and offer stupid help, you might as well just still with the bots.

The wix templates and apps is very good for me as freelance designer. Accompanied with AI for my websites content. Overall it's 5 star.

Good website builder/hosting platform. Unfortunately they have a 100 page cap, and claim their 'dynamic pages' are the answer to your prayers. But they're not. There needs to be a way to have more than 100 pages, maybe an additional subscription tier? Other than that its pretty reliable. Mild-ly in depth for seo stuff. My website is ranking pretty well for a local service based business. This is a good intermediate platform.

Wix has been the easiest website to create, implement, and manage for a novice. The user experience has been supportive to my small business, What She Said Consulting, LLC.

The website builder is intuitive and gives you a lot of control. I've been able to build out my site, work extensively on SEO, and make changes without needing much technical experience. I'm personally not a big fan of the AI integration, but overall Wix has given me the tools to do a lot with my website and grow my new business.

As someone who has built websites on multiple platforms, I've found Wix to be by far the easier platform to learn and manage. I previously built a website using SiteGround, and Wix has made it much easier to create, update, and refine my site without needing technical expertise.
One of my favorite features is the built-in email marketing. I use it every week to send newsletters to my subscribers, and having my website, email marketing, and customer management all in one place has simplified running my business considerably.
As my business has evolved, I've been able to redesign and expand my website several times without starting over. For a small business owner who wants creative control without hiring a web developer, Wix has been an excellent choice.

I think Wix is absolutely great website building platform for beginner and for growing your business. They have super good offer for premium plans. And it's easy to use and if you can not figure out some things you can ask AI.
