I wanted to go from Samoens to Flaine in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps. The directions given took me the exact opposite direction for about an hour. Thinking this is just one error due si... See more

Worst map app EVER!
Worst map app EVER!! I could have taken the Grand Central Parkway which had no traffic but instead this crappy app took me on and off of the Cross Island Parkway and the service road for the parkway. It took me over an hour to get from LaGuardia airport to the LIE. I will never use this app again!
I have used waze for years
I have used waze for years. I drive about 300 mile a day around the city of Atlanta Ga. in the last year waze has gone haywire. It does not alert you to accidents until you are already stuck in traffic. It will arbitrarily run you in a circle. If the distance is a foot shorter it will take you down a tiny dirt road. It announces “EVERY” car on the side of the road. If you miss a turn, rather than say turn around, it will take you in a 4 mile square to get back to where you started. Google maps is more reliable
They're all bad
Not any better than Google maps and Apples GPS. Many mistakes in GPS guidance. Wrong roads and turns.
NOT RELIABLE - BE CAREFUL
I've been using Waze for a long time, hoping it would improve. Using Waze for very long distance use is okay, DON'T trust it for around town or trips of about 50 miles or less, especially if there has been recent changes in routing. One of the most unreliable map apps I've used. It will automatically shut down (so if you use it to alert for speed traps DONT) and will send you to oblivion. It isn't something I would pay for. I think GOOGLE purchased it to make thier own product appear better. USER BEWARE!!!
Will never use Waze again!
I just got a Penalty Charge Notice for following a route that Waze gave me. I also hate the frequency of popups. It's super unsafe for a driving app. Won't be using it again.
Serious Privacy Violation
A couple days ago, Waze texted me to tell me a friend had arrived at the same location at the same time. I do not have Waze on my phone. GPS was turned off. How in the world did it get my contact info (by accessing my friend’s contacts, I suppose) and HOW DID IT KNOW WHERE I WAS DRIVING?
Again - I do not have the app on my phone. I have all potential means of tracking turned off - no GPS, no WiFi, no internet. And yet out of the blue I get a text, unsolicited, from this app that KNOWS WHERE I AM DRIVING.
The next day I wanted to text this friend. Her contact information had vanished from my contacts list. I had to email her asking for her phone number, and when I dialed it directly, what do you know - there it was, back in my phone. I have read about this same problem from others who have temporarily lost contacts when Waze “takes over“ the number.
And OF COURSE there is no way to contact Waze to complain. What an evil, insidious thing. It should be, and probably is, illegal.
Avoid tolls turned on, still directed me into congestion charge zone
Directed me into London congestion zone despite me having the 'avoid tolls' setting turned on, super annoyed as it wasn't possible to move out of that lane due to the red C marker on the road being on a bend with no safe way to stop & change lanes. I also, perhaps stupidly, assumed that because Waze was directing me that way that perhaps the charges didn't apply on a Sunday or because I immediately took a right-turn after the red C that I came back off the congestion charge route... how wrong I was, evidenced by the £80 fine that turned up today because I didn't know to go online & pay £11.50 within 24 hours. Super peeved
2.1 of the user agreement gives Waze the right to exploit your information.
This app has a cool look, nice voice prompts and plenty of turn arounds because you missed your stops. Also, I tried to leave the app and it remained open, Continuing to make noise. I ran a route and used it today and I must have done a u- turn five or more times because it notified me too late or not at all. One time it took me five minutes away to turn me around to go back Because it didn’t notify me at all. Furthermore, I read the user agreement and it states that Trustpilot, reserves the right to exploit your personal information. This, is what the world is coming to. This should be made public information on worldwide news media. So sad, 😔 With a name like”Trustpilot” you would think one could “trust” them. SMH!
Utterly AWFUL
Utterly AWFUL: Waze directs traffic to unsuitable, normally quiet side-streets. "waze" is a DANGEROUS app, as you cannot complain, even if narrowly run over by huge SUVs that get directed into residential roads in London. AWFUL!
Also, it very much appears, they do not want to be contacted or receive negative feedback (it seems suppressed by almighty googl).
Annoying adverts covering the screen!
I find it ironic that when you start typing, the app reminds you that you shouldn’t type and drive yet throughout a journey different adverts pop up covering up your screen especially at roundabouts and junctions.
Navigation also stops when you drive past your destination - if you miss the turning and end up driving past where you want to be, you need to pull over and tell Waze where you want to go again. It needs to redirect back to the destination like other apps do.
The app is battery draining. It's a good app but will look around for a better one.
By by TOMTOM
Have had TOMTOM for years but since to upgraded software I’ve not bothered with them and have downloaded WAZE in the UK. Once you have been using it every day it seems to get better and better. The platform is free and updates added by other drivers. I have found the most rewarding thing is other members can add the following warnings that will pop up on screen. Potholes ( his is a godsend when some have been tyre killers, broken down car, car on the hard shoulder, accidents, police, road works, road closures, obstacles in the road, It shows traffic jams ( from small medium and large ) And much more and has really impressed me as more people in your area use it the better the drive and less stress.
essential app
It is one of the most essential apps these days.
In the name of Waze we trust which never misleads us. lol
Waze is a great app to use however when…
Waze is a great app to use however when driving there are things that pops up about asking if there is an car on the side of the road as you come close to it and to choose a option in the app while driving as well as food options that pops up at the top of the screen which all these things can lead up to accident while driving. This app should be revamp for the pop ups that just come on the screen while driving when all the settings have been corrected and taken off. It doesn’t give an option to take off the pop ups. Also contrary to this the app it gives you the wrong direction to turn for ex. If it tells you to go left but when you get to your turn your suppose to go right and it have me to miss my turns.
A great app
A great app. and it's free! Works very well in the UK. Better for driving than Google Maps. Displays current speed and shows speed limit. Also gives warnings for speed cameras if you are exceeding the speed limit.
I tried a free month trial of the Tomtom GO app and the displayed speed limits were often incorrect. It also tried to direct me into the London congestion charge zone despite having taken the option to avoid Toll roads.
Well I just got a £160-240…
Well I just got a £160-240 (ULEZ/Congestion zone charge) following a Waze route that was programmed NOT to go through the London congestion zone. So, I have nothing kind to say about Waze.
Rubbish
Rubbish
Keeps loosing signal on the road.then you try to restart and is not picking up a connection to server, left it 30 min ,still hasn’t picked up anything.turned on google maps and bang!went straight away
Navigation stops to sell me a waze function.
While using waze to get through a city for the first time, navigation was stopped to sell me "carpooling". Classic Google stunt. Cannot trust waze to get me where I'm going.
I have relied on Waze for years
I have relied on Waze for years. Yesterday I was travelling to a favourite address. I thought it was taking me around traffic in Toronto but it took me around to go east instead of west on a 400 series highway. It added 30 minutes to my journey By the time I figured out how to get off and turn around. I think it was trying to take me home instead of my requested destination. Do not recommend at this time.
I'm not too sure what's going on with…
I'm not too sure what's going on with waze. I was always referring waze to anyone I met who was new to the area and didn't want to waste their gas traveling. But as of late, the app has been messing up in a major way. It's telling me to turn when the turn is a mile away. It's just malfunctioning on directions that wasn't the case before. Please fix the issues IMMEDIATELY! I rely on waze because I'm not from the area and I work uber eats, doordash and postmates for food deliveries.
From amazing to big crap
Waze was genuinely an amazing app, way better than google maps or maps or whatever. Updated by users and always up to date with everything on the road. Now it is crap!!!!! I get sent the longest routes, I get sent in the middle of nowhere.
