How it Works
1.Order and Proxy Purchase
Request purchase of items from online shops in Japan using the WorldShopping cart.
(Products from online shops that do not display this cart can be requested through a separate request form).
Upon receiving an order, WorldShopping will purchase the ordered items on behalf of the customer at the online shop.
2. Product Arrival and Confirmation
All orders are sent to the WorldShopping warehouse.
Upon arrival, items will be unpacked, checked according to the "order information", and packaged for international shipping.
3. Preparations Completed Email Notice
The international shipping charges will be determined after the packing process has been completed (on average within 1 to 3 business days of receipt).
An e-mail is then sent to the customer to inform the international shipping and handling fees and payment method.
4.International Shipping Payment and Shipment
Customer follows the payment instructions in the email to process payment. The order will be shipped after payment is completed.
(Expect the package to be dispatched the following business day, within two business days at the latest.)
5.Wait for delivery!
The package will be delivered by EMS (Express Mail Service) 7~20 days after shipment.

1. Hidden & Unclear Shipping Costs: You cannot estimate the international shipping fee at checkout. Only after your item arrives at their warehouse do they hit you with an unexpectedly high shipping bill—leaving you with zero choices or flexibility.
2. No Reasonable Return Mechanism: Once an order is placed, there is practically no path for returns or order cancellations, even if the shipping turns out to be unreasonable

Please allow us to clarify that our payments are processed in two steps, as our fees are structured as below:
WorldShopping will charge the fees as below:
A: item total amount
B: Domestic shipping within Japan fee - The domestic shipping fee will be determined according to the policy of the shop.
C: Purchase agency fee - 10% of Order price total.
D:International shipping fee - Actual cost of EMS or Other delivery service charge
E: International shipment handling fee - 500 JPY (per package).
Because the international shipping fees (D and E) are calculated based on the exact size and weight of the package once it arrives at our warehouse, they cannot be finalized during your first payment at the initial checkout.
While we include notes about this two-step payment on the cart page, we are truly sorry if it was not clear or easy to notice. We will use your valuable input to improve our service transparency in the future.

Well packaged. Process well explained. It's great to have the option to add more orders into the package. It would have been even better to have an estimated shipping cost before ordering, but I understand that may be logistically difficult.

Process and cost explained clearly.
Really good explanation of how the cost of the item and freight is calculated as I am from Australia. The process was different to how I am used to purchasing things but it was explained very well. Once the item was dispatched I was updated along the way. Thank you. It meant I was able to purchase something from Japan that I wouldn’t have been able to buy.
