I feel I have to write a review of this company as caused us a lot of stress for over 5 years trying to rectify the agreed faults and poor workmanship. The job started in November 2019 and all seemed well the job was completed and a few snagging issues became apparent, we notified James Wright company director and the person we first met, these problems were poor workmanship of tiled windowsill outside our bedroom which was so bad my youngest son could of done better, various marks/stains on new front door and marked front door handle, the worst of all was the beautiful bi fold doors came dented which had to be fitted and would be rectified, bi fold seal missing as well and new conservatory door never locked properly, the excuses we got from them are numerous with waiting for parts to come in to someone off sick although we have messages to say bi ford door in the warehouse before waiting for parts 🤷🏻‍♂️ then Covid hit and never saw from them which we understood sort of, again we tried messaging James and never replied so we had to go to fair trading and fensa to seek advice, we sent the first standard letter outlining the problems etc they responded to say works would be resolved, another few months went by just promises that never happened, the 2nd letter was sent this time outlining our intent to start court proceedings, they replied again promising to rectify all agreed faults/ workmanship, again nothing happened and after numerous messages sometimes weeks without reply, we have Xl windows as advised to a cash settlement to get the works done by our own contractor, we offered them a £2500 settlement which was revoked and James said works would be in his opinion to rectify £500 which was as you can imagine way to low, he said they would pay £1000 as a good will gesture, with all the stress this has caused us we reluctantly took XL windows Ltd offer. It’s such a shame as XL windows are a good company who came highly recommended and do some outstanding work in the area I’m guessing we were just unlucky that this job went the way it did.

Had all windows down last week, wow I love them also the fitters were clean & tidied up each day when finished, James the owner went above & beyond to get exactly what we wanted, I would recommend XL WINDOWS to everyone.

Contacted XL windows through a recommendation and spoke to James who was very polite and gave the full information I required
The bi fold door has now been fitted and I am very pleased with the quality of the doors
The fitters were very polite experienced and professional the quality of their work was exceptional and I am very pleased with the finished product

XL short for excellent.
first let me say all xl staff were so polite.the fitters the surveyor, office staff. we inquired about having new windows and doors fitted. James arrived exactly the time he said to be honest he makes you feel so at ease and relax as soon as you meet him. like all salesmen he promise you the earth! but but i will say without any hesitation he meant it..A week later we had survey done by gary again so polite and so good at his job.(then you get so excited about your new windows and doors being done) had 6 to8 weeks to wait before installation date was confirmed. NOW
this is where the transformation occurred.The two fitters turned up on time and started immediately after putting down sheets and protecting surfaces.the fitters we had were a credit to the company ,the attention to detail the finish the quality of workmanship .Thank you Ben and Ryan our fitters.

We are very happy with our windows and doors. Louis, Ben and Ryan did an excellent job and were very helpful. We had a few problems getting the scaffolding down the but apart from that we can thoroughly recommend James and his team.

What didn’t go wrong ! Bifold doors haven’t been fitted correctly fault after fault and trying to contact James who is the boss is impossible numerous emails numerous phone calls and no response he’s never in the office never replies to let u know what’s happening.
Only 3 years later I’m still calling him make ur own mind up

Just has 11 windows installed at my Bungalow in Foxhall Rd Ipswich and I am delighted at the quality finish your installers have achieved. I have used your company over the past 10 years for front, back and a Patio door and have always been very impressed by the quality of finish and the installers always friendly, polite and leave everywhere clean and tidy. Could not recommend them more highly in my experience of the installers and the company. Mike Abbott

I have complained several times about the poor installation of my front door, the whole customer experience has been shoddy, I have written letters, sent emails and just get ignored. If you want the job done properly keep a wide berth of these clowns. Never have i experience such poor aftercare ever,
Edit 18 April only got sorted when I went to the showroom to complain, I had left this review while was waiting for them to reply to me

Definitely recommend it

These people are happy to take your money but their aftersales is non existent. Composite door installation was shoddy with missing parts. I've called them twice and visited their showroom and was told James, the director, was not available but would call me back but never did. No replies to numerous emails even with the threat of taking legal action. This has been going on for over 4 months now. Read up on their reviews on other review sites. I've reported them to Trading Standards and will take this to small claims court if necessary.
They only offer 5 year warranty instead of 10 but this is meaningless if they won't honour it anyway. Why take the risk with this company when there are other reputable glazing firms in Ipswich with great reviews that charge less than this place.

Update. 8 emails were sent in total and not a single response. Please stop lying.
