Getting to the point

For whatever reason, Yellow Pages has issues with you writing reviews about your experiences with businesses! They only allow you to write one review then they shut you down! I guess most people don’t like the honest truth or your opinion when there’s something wrong with a dishonest business or any problem you have with a “Company”!

Honestly these people are criminals.

Honestly these people are criminals.

Began a marketing campaign with them about a year ago and they did such a terrible job, put no effort into our campaign and made a website that was unpresentable. In their contract it states that if the client is unhappy with the service you may cancel all on-going work with them at anytime. Turns out their contract means nothing to them, after saying the work they have done is unacceptable and stating that we would like to terminate the contract they said that is not possible and we must continue our campaign with them. After rude costumer service and a terrible marketing campaign they are still hounding us to pay them over 3000$ for work that was simply unacceptable. This company has terrible morals and conducts business horrendously. I would highly recommend everyone stay far away from Yellow pages.

Proactive skin care is a rip off

Proactive skin care just tried to charge me $64 for a $19.95 1 month supply kit. Very disappointed that they would try to take advantage of ppl at this horrible time...I will never order from them again and that's ashamed because I liked they're products and I was a good customer in the past but I haven't ordered in 2 years until now. Treat your customers better you thieves!!!
I will be looking for new skin care products

Can't believe this pushy advertising…

Can't believe this pushy advertising business is still around, still pushing. When trying to cancel at the end of our contract, they kept saying 'but we are indexed on Google' and 'you will lose business if you cancel'.....give me a break...get someone who knows their stuff, not a pushy salesman (or woman). GO AWAY!

YP = SPAM & HARASSMENT 24-7

I called Yellow Pages about 3 and a half years ago to advertise. I told them I did not want to give them my email address because I only wanted business calls to my phone, no emails. They said they needed my email address but promised not to share or sell it. They sold my email address. They sold my phone number to telemarketers. The only calls I got from advertising with YP was telemarketers harassing me 24-7.

Amount due: $4,794.92

To date, you have shown an unwillingness to pay this just debt. We feel litigation is necessary at this point. With a judgment, we can subpoena all records, including all checking accounts and tax records. This is done to locate hidden or unreported profits.

Once we research assets, we can file to seize bank accounts, inventory, accounts receivable, real properties, etc. We have contacted counsel in your area to pursue this at once through the courts. We will also have counsel petition to have attorney fees added to this claim.

Very handy tool

yp.superpages.com was a very handy tool when looking for people on the internet. Unfortunately, I think it's defunct now as the website now redirects here. This is a much appreciated replacement for that website, because I still get the same results I was getting with superpages.

Bad sales people

You cannot get a free listing without going thru a horrible 1.5 hr sales pitch, where the sales person keeps talking over you. Then he said I keep talking over him, when I try to fit a word in. They also don't have a 'set price list'. I mean seriously? So, you have to make a decision on the phone with the fast talking sales person. Shady to me. My blood pressure is 200 after talking to this guy, Brett Conrad. Yikes.

A real scam

A coworker was contacted by YP and became interested in advertising there. I asked why a potential customer would search for services on a special website rather than just using Google. She said she wasn't sure, but we would be guaranteed a certain number of calls for a reasonable introductory price. I agreed to give it a try.

During a month of advertising there, we received 0 phone calls. As we were getting ready to cancel the service, I went on their website and it showed about 60-70 people had supposedly tried to call us through the service, including some on that very day. Since it showed their phone numbers, I tried calling them. Every single one was a disconnected number!

We are a business advertising on…

We are a business advertising on yell.com.
We had no customers from the advert so cancelled the advert in December 2018, but they will not cancel the advert, apparently we are in a rolling yearly contract, which we were not told we were in at anytime, unless we tell them at the renewal time we want to cancel !
Be aware of how they work !

Broken Website

Easily the most broken website I have ever come across. Alsmot zero practicality and functionality- especially when using FireFox. I understand more and more businesses are moving away from YP and the many few are simply using the 'freemium' plan, but it's painful.

They need a serious development overhaul and assessment. Here is a brief list of some of their groundbreaking bugs:

/ Site breaks link through business.yp dashboard
/ Basic design aspects are located behind a paywall
/ System will constantly not recognize me as admin (only account connected)
/ Page load times
/ File size requirements
/ PW reset fails to locate email (ran incog to see if I could log in- the site would not allow me while I'm literally looking at the 'Account Management' tabs email.)

The idea is great, but much like their old phone books, I can't imagine they'll be around in the next few years.
