Taking advantage of a 90 yr old

A pushy phone salesperson told my 90 yr old mom she was such a good customer Xfinity was sending her an iPad for free. She told them numerous times she did not want it. The iPad came in the mail, and monthly service for it was added to her line and monthly device charges — so not free of course. She and I have spent around 10 hrs either on hold, speaking with associates, going to the local store as we were told, then to find out it could not be returned to the store we needed a return label to mail it back. Today I have been either speaking with associates or on hold for 3 hours. I continue to ask for supervisors, but thus far no one can make this right. The iPad is in the box unopened. Yes it has been 3 months since they sent it to her, but none of her kids live in town, and she did not know how to handle this on her own. After 3 hours on the phone today, they are telling us to head back to the store, they’ve noted her acct and she can return it. Will see how that goes. Painful experience!!!

Promises broken

Promises broken. They say "Yes, I understand" but overcharge based on their misunderstandings, which they later legitimize, giving customers no recourse. Nothing is the way they promise. DO NOT TRUST.

A no return investment

I'll actively advise against using Xfinity as an Internet provider, especially is your work depends on your network provider.the indecisiveness of the assistance, being continually transferred back and forth between departments, where neither of the representatives help resolve my issue, still left with not being able to pay a balance, the websites customer service portal has its own issue where it only refers you back to the problem instead of rising a solution, after a 56 minute call I've been left with nothing resolved and a call back number that's disconnected, completely unsatisfied with Xfinity and Xfinity prepaid service and I will actively speak against the company in any case that prevents future potential customers from trusting Xfinity like I, regrettably, have done, as far as service, when it's consistent it's reliable, but that's only true if it's unmentionable when there's "work being done to improve my wireless speed" like it's been 3 out of the four weeks past this post, as a result of the " enhancements" I've had to go without Internet three out of seven days a week between the hours of 10am-4pm. So remote workers should definitely choose an alternative network provider

Do not get Xfinity WiFi

Do not get Xfinity WiFi. They are falsely advertising a package, telling customers they are getting streaming services for free, then not following through. They know what they are doing and doing NOTHING to fix the problem. I am always willing to work with a business and recognize mistakes happen, but this is unacceptable. We signed up for their WiFi/xumo box because Disney + and Hulu were included according to both the person that helped us at the store and the advertising in the store, which is still up by the way. We will be making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

Please spread the word to prevent others from dealing with the same thing.

The people running the Willowbrook…

The people running the Willowbrook location show air of superiority, rude and disrespectful. They should be sent to a customer service training school for lack of personable and friendliness traits. They do not know the policy on return of devices blabbering like total idiots and lacking on consistency of information and yet they make the customers feel like they do not know what they want. The degree of superiority shown is over the top once you step inside the store. Retrain on customer service skills or Xfinity will lose many subscribers because of bad treatment.

Xfinity Mobile

Xfinity Mobile: I spent 3.5 hours on the phone. Spoke with 4 different people. If you're lucky, you'll be routed (incorrectly) to Robert in Comcast Business, who has worked there for 10 yrs and 2 days as of 7-9-2026. While he has expert knowledge, he is unable to get ANYONE on the line who has ANY business answering phones, let alone assisting customers. He is reason for the 2nd star. I haven't gotten a resolution over the phone ever...even after hours of being transferred around to someone "who is going to get me taken care of". I've decided to cancel my service after being a customer since the inception of Xfinity Mobile service. The WORST customer service I've EVER experienced.

Please don’t make the mistake of xfinity…

Currently without mobile access even while paying an arm and a leg, refusal to fix after Apple has diagnosed the problem and given exact information as to the error in their carrier setup. Third party overseas is only poc after 8 attempts to get a qualified professional to fix. Don’t waste the time. Xfinity mobile works well till it doesn’t then you are effed.

Xfinity Bait and Switch

Today I made my early call to renegotiate my Xfinity (cable TV and WiFi) looking at my last 12 month contract and monthly payments it went from $206 my agreed 12 month amount to $213! I called and asked how this happened and he said I had a $9 credit for Root sports for part of the time. I explained it was a $17 difference, he couldn’t answer so I asked for a manager. The manager definitely had attitude and said I needed to read my bill monthly because equipment was not included (again she said I should have read my
contract) and every year equipment goes up in cost. Still not able to explain every month differences and over 12 months there were 8 different prices charged to me and only 2 months were the agreed upon amount.
In conclusion I’m dumping Comcast/Xfinity because they are the bait and switch company and I refuse to listen to their BS anymore!

My only negative rating in 25 years!

In over 25 years of rating companies, this may be my first negative review.
6 days ago, Xfinity went out in our area. Understandable as there were serious storms in the area. To make matters worse, a huge limb from a tree in our neighbor's yard fell on the Xfinity cable line leading to our house.

I immediately contacted Xfinity support to report the damaged cable. I was immediately assured that an Xfinity service person, assigned to my area, would evaluate and replace the line Tuesday of this week. No one showed.

A repeated call to Xfinity service inform me that Xfinity service was restored to this area and that I should have no issues with internet service to my house. I told the agent that the line was damaged outside of our house. The agent told me that that should not affect my internet because we have wireless internet. I replied, but that is within the house. Without that cable leading to the modem, service in the house is impossible. After stating all this, the agent asked me to unplug and plug in the modem from power to restore service. I tried to explain about the cable, but she said that the cable was not relevant. I unplugged and plugged in the modem four different times according to her urging. It goes without saying that it made no difference. She then informed me that the problem must be outside the house. Duh.

After waiting just over 45 minutes, she set me up for a service appointment today between 12:00 and noon. I took a half day off work to be here, as my wife was unable to do so.

I then received a text from Xfinity indicating that my appointment was set up for the 11th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.. I immediately called Xfinity again to let them know that I took half the day off to be home today. The agent replied that no such appointment had been set up for today. I told him I had an email confirming that. He was sorry, but informed me that my actual service date is scheduled for the 12th, from 10:00 to noon. I told him that neither my wife or I would be home those hours. He asked why I previously agreed to be home for the service appointment. I tried to explain to him that the appointment was scheduled for today, 10:00 till 2:00, and that I took half the day off to be here.

He put me on hold for many minutes, and finally came back to remind me that the only service appointment he has on record is for the 12th from 10:00 to 2:00. I then hung up out of utter frustration.

Much more could be said, but I've never encountered such irresponsible customer service in my life.

Xfinity Genuinly did NOT want my business to any degree

Xfinity created an account for me on their IDM (identity manager) without my knowledge or permission. Since I didn't create it, I have no access to it. They literally couldn't give me a sales rep after asking their stupid ass AI for 20 minutes. If you don't want my business, just tell me to piss off when I look at your website. If this is literally the only review I have ever written because of how miserable your service is to use. If I could make it 0 stars I would.

I truly hate this service

I truly hate this service. I've been with them for over five years. In the beginning when you sign up. They offer you wonderful deals and pricing. After your in service is awful. Internet drops when it wants. I work at home. So yeah internet is mandatory. Instead XFINITY WITH NO WARNING ARE DOING SOMETHING TO THEIR SERVICES. SO customers are down as usual until Xfinity det their services back on line. No warnings , No heads up. Just NOTHING. Im currently at my neighborhood library finish paper work!!!!! The pricing is just like paying a car payment or car insurance. When you ask is there anything that existing customers can get.ALWAYS ALWAYS ?UNFORTUNATELY AT THIS TIME, NO). GUESS WHAT!!! There are no more deals & discounts. They just say WELL WE CAN DOWN GRADE , YOUR PACKAGE. That's it that's all!!! When I find a other Cable company im gone this year. No more paying over 300 for barely NOTHING NO PREMIUM CHANNELS NO SPEACIL DISCOUNTS. Only when they first sign you up.
A d the internet is trash. Its like using Guest wifi. You'll get some wifi, But not top streaming the way they preach on commercials!! They aren't for loyal customers. They just hurry scam you in and after that you are screwed with SERVICES NOT WORTH THE .MONEY!!!! OR FUSTRATION. Why Im still there. Contract. After it ends this time im gone to someone else service soon hopefully

Xfinity is a scam

Xfinity is a scam. They should truly not be allowed to operate anywhere. They claim to not be a cell phone provider, yet they sell cell phones with “cell phone plans”. The cell phone plans are a scam because it is essential for the customer to have an Xfinity WiFi plan in order for the cell phone to work. In the event a customer does not have a WiFi plan through Xfinity, then the cell phone customer is charged an extra fee for not having WiFi. The problem that exists within this process, is the fact that the cell phone still will not work fully even in the event a customer is charged the extra “no WiFi” fee because Xfinity claims that they are not a cell phone company and that they do not have cell phone data plans that operate without WiFi. Why then, is the customer charged an extra fee for not having WiFi if Xfinity is not providing the customer with cell phone data for the phone to operate at its fullest capacity. What is the extra fee paying for?

Overall, the customer service is horrifically below any type of conceivable industry quality standard. The verification process just to be able to speak to a customer service representative is exhausting and it is difficult to reach the appropriate customer service representative for “support”. The customer service representatives always provide an insanely large amount of extremely different information regarding a particular issue that often times will never resolve the issue and in fact often times exacerbates the issue. Additionally, the customer service representatives at Xfinity are clearly not aware that they are hired to assist the customer because, they repeatedly will act as if everything the customer says is unintelligible and appear to be completely unable to provide the any type of adequate support that would potentially resolve the issue.

Difficult to Cancel

I was an Xfinity customer largely out of a lack of other options. In my nearly 6 years as their customers, they continuously raised my rates.

I finally got fiber internet offered in my area and am trying to disconnect my Xfinity service. They seem to no longer allow cancellations through the web portal. Instead they require you to schedule a "callback time" and wait for what is basically a sales rep to call you and try to sell you on remaining a customer.

Greedy company. Does not care about their customers.

Minus stars

Minus stars. I am glad to finally be rid of them. I will echo what all have said:

costs are ridiculous -$120 a month for just internet?

Equipment is cheap garbage- routers break within months. I was told directly from an employee at an Xfinity that they are seeing routers break within 6 weeks.

Their app has never, ever worked for me.

They work very hard so you cannot talk to a human being when you need help. I actually got a live person to ask why am I getting a bill after I cancelled my account (since my equipment was returned and internet is billed a month in advance). She "put me on hold to check" and never came back. I called the same number back immediately. And when I put in my info (because you CANNOT get past their stupid A.I. bot without it), I got a message that sorry, they cannot help me on the phone with this account, I will have to go online!! So this employee had to do something to my account so they won't talk to me at all. (I was being very nice in talking to her, by the way.)

I am not able to get any flipping explanation about them charging me. I just paid it (which what they are doing is probably very illegal) to be rid of them.

There needs to be a class action lawsuit against this unethical, corrupt company. They are literally making billions in profit each year.

Went to pay my bill and found I was…

Went to pay my bill and found I was charged $97.00 extra dollars per month because my promotion was over ! It took me 21/2 hours to finally get to talk with someone because everything a recording and no agent options do very very frustrating to say the least ! When I finally was able to speak I asked why I was not informed that my promotion was about to end ! There response was its my responsibility and they are not able to take away the $97.00 and neither would the manager I was warned ( like I’m going to remember that with all the things going on in this world ya right ) well I asked to speak with a manager was on hold for another 20 min person finally answered it was the wrong department! I was livid ! This company is so inept so after 15 or more years of Xfinity I am bringing back all my equipment today and disconnecting my aweful service ! This is the worse and most frustrating company I have ever had ! They charge so much for so little ! 😞

I was trying to help a friend get his cable going. But you absolutely cannot talk to anyone and you get the runaround over and over and over with the virtual assistance. Nothing gets solved. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Plus, the employee at the store did not know what she was doing. She changed our package and disconnected all our boxes, but one. We were supposed to have five.
