Dishonest Communication and Chaos
Their customer service is absolute garbage. My father is in the hospital, and we called to pause his service. They had us on hold for long stretches, then said we had to have him present to change any part of his account. We went to the ICU, so my dad could verify he wanted us added to his account and make changes. They had us talk to two different security teams (again, more holding), and one asked for verification that my father is in the ICU. What? How would we even do that, and how is that not a violation of HIPAA? They finally escalated us to someone who guaranteed that his account would be put on "seasonal hold" and that we would not pay anything for six months. My mom called the next day to verify everything and learned that 1) they had not added anyone to my dad's account, and 2) it would cost $50 per month to be put on "seasonal hold." This experience added extra stress and chaos during an already highly stressful time for my family, and it was completely avoidable with honest communication. We have since canceled and will not use their service again.
Worst service EVER
Internet service went out with a storm. I called to report an outage and was told there was no outage reported in my area. I pointed out to the agent that that would be true for every first person to call about an outage. I finally convinced the agent an outage occurred and directed the agent to the exact location and pole number where the cable was downed. I was told that they would dispatch service asap. 1 day later still no service and the outage did not show on their outage map. I chatted again with another agent who advised they were dispatching a crew and the issue would be resolved within the next four hours. The next morning still no service and the outage is not showing on their outage map. I spoke to a third agent who dropped the line and then a fourth agent who gave me a service reference number confirmation that it would be resolved between 12-2 the next day. The next evening, again, no service. The outage finally showed on the map but lo and behold, now that we are classified as being in an outage you can neither chat or talk with a live agent. We live in the sticks so if they had said from the onset, it would be a week before we’d be seen to, we could have planned appropriately. But to be misdirected if not lied to three separate times and then to be precluded from speaking with a live agent is reprehensible. This company sucks beyond all abysmal companies and I hope they go out of business soon or ata minimum their stock tanks. Horrible customer service and terrible infrastructure. To make it all worse, on every chat and call I had begging for an actual truthful response, these idiots would try to sell me their cell service. How stupid can you be.
Ruined my property before service even…
Ruined my property before service even started—impossible customer service.
I just signed up for Xfinity Internet and I already want to cancel. Yesterday, a technician came out to bury the underground cable. Today, my sprinkler system is completely severed and gushing water everywhere.
Trying to get this resolved has been an absolute nightmare. The online support connects only to outsourced agents who cannot help. They opened a repair ticket for me, only for Xfinity to text me 30 minutes later stating the ticket was closed because they "cannot support the issue."
It is impossible to speak to a real person. Their automated system forces you to choose from three completely unrelated options, none of which address property damage. If this is how Xfinity treats customers before the service is even active, I don't want to continue with this company. It is always amazing how a communications company is completely unable to communicate.

Had Xfinity installed and wiring ran from the box at the street to the house. Everything works great but they won't bury the dam wiring on the ground. Its been weeks and trying to mow the grass is a total pain. I have talked to the so called customer service several times and all they do is submit a ticket and never tell me when it will be buried. Just a little note, my next door neighbor has the same problem except their wiring has been laying on the ground for five (5) months. Beware of Xfinity !!!!!!
I called in on an issue about my phone…
I called in on an issue about my phone service on 7/6/2026 14 times literally. Every representative gave me misleading information. I had to correct four CSR's because they gave bad information on what I was inquiring about. Also one representative told me to pay one amount and that my services would be back on in ten minutes. the services did come back on and went back off permanently. This whole day was wasted and just a bunch of REPEAT, REPEAT AND REPEAT. No help and no understanding language and understanding barrier.

I will never advise anyone to start a service with Xfinity internet service. Very poor customer service. They refused to refund me after I cancelled my service. I will always write a bad review whenever I get the chance on any platform.
RUN AWAY
RUN AWAY! We had phone service, so to speak, for four days before we ran back to our previous provider. Xfin kept most of what we paid for our phones. And the debit card they sent that was supposed to serve as a refund (because I hot-carded my card and wouldn't give them the new number) of $4.27 would not work. BTW, it had a 3.50 per month service charge on it. We shredded it and tossed it. I hope to never get mail from them again. Negative number stars from me.
My internet has been down since 07/04
My internet has been down since 07/04! No helpful updates as if Xfinity doesn’t care at all that some of us work from home and need reliable internet. This is the third day with no internet and No status updates. How soon is Xfinity’s “ as soon as possible”?
what I can do now is to switch our internet provider “as soon as possible”
I would have kept my mobile if it didn't cost more than the internet bill to keep it..
I wanted the cheapest internet! 150down for $60 is what I found in 2020. I didn't sub. the $15~ monthly xfinity modem but I should have! Not sure why but I had super high internet traffic that broke my router/modem every year. They were always super hot!
Fiber came into our neighborhood and I thought, for the same price and free modem, might as well change over!
I tried to cancel xfinity internet and keep xfinity mobile but they told me it was going to cost $20 extra per line plus extras which ended up being the same price as the internet bill!!!
They he tried to sell me their $80 service for a year at the same amount I am paying... I said no and didn't know what to do.
Well, might as well find a new mobile service and I did!
So I had to cancel again, but this time the whole thing! I was on hold for a very long time as I don't know of a way to cancel xfinity online? Then he tried everything he could to keep me as a customer. He sounded super sad. I felt bad for him! But I just needed my service canceled.
I am glad Fiber came around because I only had two choices before.
If I could give Xfinity a zero-star…
If I could give Xfinity a zero-star rating, I would. Their entire customer service infrastructure is a complete nightmare designed to trap you in an endless cycle of frustration. The Xfinity Assistant AI is utterly useless, trapping you in repetitive dead-end loops, forcing you through basic troubleshooting steps you’ve already done, and pitching aggressive sales upsells for phone lines or upgrades instead of fixing your actual problem. Even if you somehow break past the bot, it completely wipes your chat history, forcing you to repeat everything to a live agent.
Worse yet, it is completely impossible to cancel your service. I spent hours chatting with bots and live agents, finally received an official cancellation confirmation email, and Xfinity still continues to fraudulently bill me month after month for "past due" balances on a service I no longer have. They ignore their own paperwork just to keep taking your money. Avoid this company at all costs. Cancellation has not been completed as of this writing and I am spending too many hours just to cancel a service.
Terrible company to deal with
Terrible company to deal with. Their customer service people do not care or know what they’re doing.
I have been without WiFi for 52 hours
I have been without WiFi for 52 hours. I work from home. Not one human being will answer the phone but if you call other providers, they ironically answer the phone. Why is that? Because Xfinity is the absolute worst company ever therefore go to ATT, WOW, Direct or T-Mobile. At least you can talk to someone for help. Also look on Facebook to see even more reviews and what this company has done to most of our country this past weekend!!! I am done with this company
Terrible Customer Service
Outage happen. The company cannot control the weather. But they do control their response. And their customer service during an outage is terrible.
My son moved and he called XFinity to…
My son moved and he called XFinity to have his wifi transferred to his new home. Well they shut it off completely and then wanted him to sign up for NEW SERVICE so he sent them 180.00 dollars they turned it on for one day then they said he owed another 150.00 and now today they are telling him he owes another 300.00. This all happened within 10 days. Why do they keep asking for more money?? I think someone needs to be investigated for sure.
Cable out approximately 0100 on July 4
Cable out approximately 0100 on July 4, was told it would be on by 1800 on the 4th NOPE. It is now 1630 on July 5th and as anyone who has dealt with Comcast’s can guess,CABLE STILL OUT!!!😖 COMCAST SUCKS
This has got to be the worst internet…
This has got to be the worst internet service ever. Service always buffering and now that is an outage they don't know when services will be restored talking about whenever the area is safe technician will be out to resolve the issues. Storm or no storm their services are still lousy and ain't worth a shit.
RUN in the opposite direction
This is the most predatory company I have ever dealt with. And they haven’t changed in over 10 years of using their internet services on and off. If there is LITERALLY ANY OTHER OPTION available to you for internet - take it.
Your rates will increase significantly after whatever promo they hooked you on initially, there will be no warning and if you try to cancel be prepared for a 2 hour process while they cycle you through 3-4 people who will try to make you stay. BUT WAIT! After you cancel an Xfinity box will show up to your door the next day and when you call back they will tell you you actually UPGRADED your plan yesterday to a more expensive plan….. Absolute liars and predators.
Put on your tennis shoes and run in the opposite direction of Xfinity.
Javion at Xfinity in Villanova
I rarely write reviews, but Javion absolutely deserves one.
I accidentally called his personal cell phone today, forgetting it was the Fourth of July. I fully expected to leave a voicemail. Instead, he answered and took the time to help me without hesitation. That level of dedication and customer service is almost unheard of today.
From the very beginning, Javion was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in finding the best solutions for me—not just making a sale. He educated me on my options, answered every question, and made the entire process effortless.
Because of Javion, I left Verizon and moved all of my services to Xfinity—my internet, mobile phones, and TV. That decision wasn’t based on price alone; it was based on the confidence and trust he built through exceptional service.
Employees like Javion are incredibly rare. His professionalism, responsiveness, and commitment to his customers set the standard for what customer service should be. In fact, if I were hiring, I would recruit him in a heartbeat.
Xfinity is fortunate to have someone of his caliber representing the company. Thank you, Javion, for going above and beyond. You turned what could have been a frustrating experience into one that was genuinely outstanding.

Horrible Horrible experience trying resolve data-overage charges on legacy plan. Excruciatingly bad phone experience and resolved about 10% of my issue. Cancelled and would be thankful if I never had to deal with the company again.
