The tracking system kept rating my driving as “at risk,” which was extremely stressful—especially since I was driving carefully and responsibly. I kept receiving constant emails and notifications saying my policy would be cancelled in 10 days, then 4 days, then 1 day.
At one point, I even tried driving an extra 5 miles for no reason, just to improve my score, but it made no difference. In the end, I decided to cancel my policy after three months and switch to a different insurer. Fortunately, I found a cheaper policy that doesn’t require tracking. The AI system at the app is helpful.
I spoke with Aaron today as I wasn't happy that my renewal price had gone up, considering I didn't encounter any problems. Aaron addressed my concern and helped me massively by using some discount and managed to get my renewal price lowered even less than the current insurance that I am paying for. The phone call only lasted about 10 minutes and I was a very happy customer afterwards. Aaron is a credit to your team and I am very grateful for his expertise in this matter. Excellent customer service. Thank you.

Ignored instructions, processed payment without consent, terrible support
Update since my last review 16 days ago – after chasing for days, it’s only gotten worse.
I asked to keep my car and pay the salvage value. I was asked to send the finance letter and crime reference number on the day I left a review last time. My finance company confirmed they’d release the deed if I kept the car, repaired it, and sent an MOT. To avoid delays, I paid the remaining finance balance myself.
Every time I chased an update sometimes I waited hours for a response. When I did get one, it was a generic reply. If I asked a follow-up question, they’d put me back in the queue and make me wait again.
Despite this, Zego declared it a total loss and processed a cash payment without my agreement. I never agreed to a settlement. I emailed them clearly stating I wanted the car back.
This car is my livelihood as a private hire driver. Zego’s delays and refusal to follow my instructions have cost me weeks of earnings.
I’ve sent a formal email stating that if they don’t return the car, I’m escalating to the Financial Ombudsman. Would not recommend if you rely on your car for work.
