Avoid at all cost if paying in full , took my money was chasing for 4 days , until the day I was supposed to be covered, then wanted 300 more , I told them to give my money back and charged me £75 cancellation fee to a policy I never had , tried calling , all you get is them hanging up on you , this is happening quite a lot with other reviews

I made a car insurance with this company, in the documents they told me that my insurance will be live on 17th December, after 3 days I didn't had any response from them and I had to make a car insurance with another company, now I tried to take my money back and they told me they need to keep 75 fees administration. I don't recommend this company!!! Please be careful!!!

I wish I had read the review by Susurrus and taken note. I saw the five star reviews and thought that someone was probably being a touch harsh. I found, to my cost that the one star review was accurate. I had accepted and paid for a reasonable quotation and was met with an email asking for further details. Shortly after submitting said information I was called and told that the price had gone up by over £200 and that if I backed out now, there would be a £75 charge. This is a total con and very poor business practice.

Fraudulent company!!

I was asked a question about history of refused/cancelled policy to which I correctly answered “Yes” and gave details as prompted by the sales person I spoke to. Mind you I had also answered correctly earlier in the process which led to the quote I was given. This person proceeded to answer “No” on my record and I only found out when I went to sign the agreement that the price I had paid a £207 deposit for to lock down had increased by over £200 per month! I called them numerous times to get clarification on this with no luck and they continued to insist via email that i answered incorrectly and as per T&Cs, the adjusted my quote. Surely this is entrapment?! Now I had to pay £120 just to cancel this policy because that these criminals entrapped me into.
AVOID THEM LIKE A PLAGUE if you know what’s good for you.
I still have not received my partial refund after 28 days later.

As per all other reviews on here. They quoted a price of around £2000 subject to the phone call, then increased the price to £3500. This was obviously unacceptable and I didn't want to proceed but they have charged me for cancelling the policy. It's a complete con.

14th July – I emailed Zugar Znap today to ask when the amount of £2075.38 would be refunded and they responded by telling me they were waiting for me to provide ID and proof of my address to avoid money laundering. They have never requested this information before, but it is completely irrelevant. The £2075.38 is being refunded to the credit card it was paid on. This is clearly just another attempt to avoid refunding the money they owe. This company is horrendous.

The reply from Zugar Znap below is nonsense. I have been speaking to them on a regular basis, supplied all the information required but they are still refusing to refund me. I have now passed everything to a solicitor and the credit card company.

I've supplied all the information you requested, including a copy of my passport and a utility bill proving my address so that you could refund me. You claim this is to avoid money laundering which is complete nonsense - how can we launder money by paying for something on a credit card, and then asking for a refund onto the same credit card? More lies on your part as normal. However, even though I supplied the informatioon you still haven't refunded me - more lies. Words can't begin to describe exactly how horrific your company is.
