Help desk experience

I contacted the help desk after reaching the final questions of a survey about specific brands, only to be told at the end that I was “a better fit elsewhere,” despite already spending longer than the estimated completion time on it. When I followed up, I was then told the survey had been halted because I was allegedly not completing it to a high enough standard — supposedly rushing or giving brief answers.

This was surprising and frustrating, as the survey mostly consisted of tick-box questions, which I answered honestly and appropriately. Being allowed to complete almost the entire survey and then being disqualified at the end, followed by criticism of the quality of my responses, feels unfair and a poor experience overall. In general the surveys take much longer than stated.

Clubcard Challenges

I’m really disappointed to find that the Clubcard challenges are not offered fairly to all customers. As a loyal customer I find that I am not given the opportunity to collect the Clubcard challenge points whereas my SIL (whom I told about the challenges in the first place), has just been offered a new set. Clearly Tesco don’t need my custom so I shall choose to shop elsewhere.

Rubbish Booking System

Have twice booked tyres with Halfords website. Twice it has gone smoothly during the booking process only to receive an email after saying there was an error and although I’ve been charged the booking hasn’t been completed. Tried to phone number provided but office closed. Tried chat but told it might take 48 hours before I can be assured if the booking has been made. This is totally unacceptable I obviously need to know if I have an appointment or not. The initial booking was months ago and if I’d remembered what happened I wouldn’t have booked again. I just remembered when I saw the identical email. Surely whatever glitch has allowed this to happen should have been resolved or at least the facility to quickly sort by phone. Extremely frustrated.

Spent £60 on a suede look jacket - now unwearable

Spent £60 on a suede look jacket. After maybe 3-4 wears the elbows look quite worn and bald to the extent I’d be embarrassed wearing the jacket to work. I am on my feet at work so not from leaning on a desk or similar. Wrote to customer services they asked for photos. Sent photos by return. Heard nothing - emailed again a week later - they then asked for further information which I provided. Then received an email saying they don’t consider it a defect so no further action to be taken. Disappointing as I now have a sixty pound jacket which I will not wear again.

Charged £9 more for printer ink…

Charged £9 more for printer ink directly from Canon than for EXACTLY the same pack from Amazon. When I emailed I got a whole heap of blurb about third party ink. Pointed out this was for the Canon branded ink. Second reply just told me it was my responsibility to shop around! Needless to say I will buy direct from Amazon next time.

Very easy to cancel our trips which we had pre booked in Prague but will no longer be able to participate in due to not be allowed to enter the country from the U.K. I wish sorting out our bookings with Ryanair and Lovehidays was so simple.

Trying to contact them since yesterday…

Trying to contact them since yesterday about a trip to Prague at 0625 tomorrow. They are not answering the telephone. Referred me to live chat but apart from stating the hours of availability there is no option to actually initiate the chat. I’m pretty sure the trip will be cancelled as the Czech Republic have closed borders to UK visitors however no official confirmation. FAQ refer you to airline info but Ryanair still showing the flight as scheduled. Tried commenting on Facebook and Twitter and messaging on messenger but no further forward.

Bad experience

Bad experience. Wish I had read the reviews first. We have annual car hire insurance so didn’t want any additional insurance. However our card kept being “declined” so after queuing several times over a couple of hours and conversations with the bank to try and get the problem sorted we eventually agreed to take the extra insurance. On return from holiday we asked the bank to investigate the failed transactions and they put in writing that the problem was with the way the card was processed by the merchant. Have written multiple emails with no resolution. Meanwhile staff member telling us he was an excellent salesman and was on commission! The Spanish government and consumer organisations really need to sort this out as colours your experience of Holidaying in Spain.
