Told me that they would ring me back - never rang me back … what a surprise!!
Affordablemobiles.com
Affordablemobiles.com. Fraud of a company. Imagine purchasing a phone, receiving no confirmation email, so then returning it, and they still charge you for the full contract. Then when you try to contact them, you’re passed from one customer service member to another.
Hi I also got a contract with…
Hi I also got a contract with affordable mobiles in Jan 2024 and they sent me a refurbished phone that was faulty. Since Then I have contacted so many times, even had the screen fixed myself and put in all documents for a refund but nothing. My phone is still in warranty but no contact. Ver bad service.
Avoid at all costs
In December 2023, I purchased a new phone contract with affordablemobiles.com which included a refurbished Samsung handset. From the moment I received the handset, there was an issue present. I returned the handset for testing in January and they reported no fault and sent the handset back to me.
I continued to report the fault with them and they advised me to follow up with Samsung directly as a warranty claim. I have since done that and Samsung has stated that the handset is not a UK model and is not covered under warranty whatsoever. The sale confirmation states a 24 month warranty is in place, which was completely false!
Now that the company has gone into administration, I am left with paying for a contract with a phone that doesn't work. The administrators are useless and there is zero chance of recuperating any of the cost.
Disgusting fraudulent company.
Disgusting fraudulent company.
Do not buy from affiliated companies like AO.
Broken phone that the company cannot help with as A1 is now dissolved. Paying for a phone that doesn’t work to a company that no longer exists. Extremely unhelpful chat who just send you to administrators who have already sorted the finances. Doesn’t help me fixing my phone.

Three months on, still paying for a phone I don't have
Just wanted to add my experience here as other people seem to be in the same position.
I took out a two year contract and paid a large amount upfront (just under £400) with Affordable Mobiles/A1 Comms for a phone which turned out to be faulty. I returned the phone to be repaired in January and I was told that I would get the cost of shipping and also the cost of the contract for time without the phone refunded when the phone was returned to me. It's now April and despite STILL PAYING a contract every month for it (and the cost will go up soon...), A1 Comms/Affordable Mobiles/SFP Group/Middleton Barton have still not returned the phone to me. The phone is not their asset as I have a contract paying it off but at this point I've come to accept it's either been stolen from their warehouse or liquidated to pay off the debts of Affordable Mobiles (despite me contacting SFP Group at the start of the process to inform them the asset is mine).
Nobody is assisting me with getting me released from my contract or returning the phone to me. I am still on the hook to pay the phone off until the end of next year and Three have said they will pass my details to debt recovery specialists if I stop paying for a phone I don't have.

Nightmare
Nightmare! Big Scam!
I had ordered a mobile it came with a fault so I returned it for replacement in early Feb 2024, since then I have not received my phone I have been following up via email and calls there is no satisfactory answer. First they said they are sorting high number of pending orders, then they said this company has been sold to another company, then later they said this company went into administration. No helpful information about my phone at all for last two months. I have waisted my time and lost my money. This is a nightmare.

No Justification at All
All reviews for this company, including my experience got same response that they don't have contact details to take any useful action.
Is there is No LIMIT to their deception ? They definitely have my contact details because I got enough useless replies from their so called Customer services and their CEO as well.
So No justification for mistreating your customers.

SCAM* SCAM* Be careful if you buying anytime from AO or affordable mobile. If you got any issue they assign you this company which one is totally useless. I'm waiting to sorted out my mobile last 3weeks. Got email we working on it and nothing so far. So ignore Affordable mobile or AO specially for Mobiles.
They asked me to borrow mobile from the friends? Really Taking 3 weeks to just contact me and gave me this advise ?

They are stealing money from people
Purchased through affordable mobiles - A1 comma. 7 weeks ago, still no phone. Have been told there is no timescale of when it will be sent so asked to cancel and a refund which I was told there is no timescale of when a cancellation and refund can be processed. Absolute joke, they can’t send my phone 7 weeks after taking the money but also won’t send me a refund.

Despicable company!!! Don’t give them your business
A1 Comms aka Affordable Mobile - you don’t even deserve the one star but I wasn’t able to leave it blank.
Where to even start with you! So today I received an email stating you have gone into administration and will no longer be dealing with my complaint.
In December 2023 you instructed solicitors to recover a debt for a mobile phone contract taken out June 2022. Only this wasn’t for my contract. I raised a complaint regarding your incompetence and the stress you have caused instructing debt collectors to collect money from my home address. You had clearly mixed my details up with another customer and this was proven when I evidenced I was not with the phone provider you were trying to recover debt for. I provided you with all of the evidence that you had made a mistake. Probably breaching all sorts of data protection legislation in the process.
Every month I have chased you and been fobbed off by your staff that they are looking into it and quite clearly you weren’t. Probably because it fell into the ‘too difficult’ category.
You have lied and been untrustworthy. I am looking into taking this matter further as I don’t think simply saying you have been taken over by another company (quite clearly linked but branded with a different name) gives you the right to dismiss a complaint for a mistake you are clearly responsible for.
Watch out anyone who has taken a phone contract out with this company - they are not to be trusted with your money, loyalty or business!!! Never will I ever recommend you to anyone!!! Stay clear!!!!!
***in response to your reply - you do have my details. I wrote a letter of complaint on 9th December 23 and I have made contact by email multiple times and had generic replies***
Complaint ref ESC4277864201 refers. You contact me and stop wasting my time!

This an appalling company
This an appalling company. They phone you constantly to sell you an upgrade and then when the order is placed you receive an email saying the order will be delayed and I’ve been waiting for over a month. There is no way of contacting affordable mobiles, the chat to affordable mobiles does not work. This is distressing and terrible service bordering on fraud

Update
Update - after cancelling my order last week, I received an email this morning saying my phone would be with me on the 22nd Feb. What is going on! This has been ongoing since 26th January.

Wish I could give 0 star
Had a Samsung S23 on 3 network on order, they sent me an iphone on vodafone. Told me to send it back, which I did and they would refund my postage (NOT RECEIVED) and also refund £35. (NOT RECEIVED). Still haven't received Samsung phone. Just want my money back Lottie - also the phone number you gave me, doesn't work. The Live Chat doesn't work either. Making me feel ill, I can't afford to give money away, feel sorry for people who have parted with lot more money than I have.

It’s got one star because I can’t give 0. No contact information works. And the emails don’t get back to you. Worse service has never existed. Scam of a company, CEO’s should be behind bars

Cannot get through to A1!!!
Bought a phone and contract through Samsung Mobile Shop. Contract was upgraded by A1 Comms without my consent. I now have a £600 debt with Vodafone due to this. I am being chased by debt collection companies and Vodafone nor Samsung Mobile Shop can help.
I have just been told to ring A1 Comms and cannot get through! Says opening times of lines but no one is there. I have tried on different days at different times. I am in debt for something that is not my fault and I cannot speak to anyone!!! Please I need help I need to speak to someone ASAP.

I have had a O2 account opened fraudulently using my details.
O2 took 6 months from me first informing them that it was fraudulently opened to say the contract was taken out with A1, I phone A1 and it just says line is closed.
How do I contact these people.
The phone line says use web chat, but guess what that does not exist either!
Cannot contact A1 !!

A1comms have taken money out of my account, but it clearly stated that if I didn't get accepted my money would be put back within an hour and I'm still waiting a week late. I'm relying on disability benefits and I just can't afford to be stolen from. I strongly advise anyone reading this to never use a1comms, and I think there scandalous poor business should be brought to the attention of a journalist and let the newspaper shame them out of business. I wish there was a option for no stars. Jonathan Collins

A1 comms 2 weeks no answer.
I have ordered a new Samsung phone on 02 network. The sim card wasn't shipped with the phone. I have contacted Samsung and they give me the number for A1 comms. Two weeks later and over 7 hours of being on hold and asking for call backs and nothing happens. I am beginning to loose the plot and wonder if there's anyone working for this company? Incredibly poor service.
