NO PHONE, NO MONEY

NO PHONE, NO MONEY- DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM I've ordered a phone on 25th of August through Samsung shop on a monthly contract (mobileshop). I had an email confirming the payment was accepted but Samsung "waiting for approval" status never changed! I've been calling and chatting to several people and Samsung blames A1, A1 blames Samsung. I decided to cancel this order on the 8th of September, never even received an email about refund being processed. All agents promised to send this as urgent request to their internal team, but nothing happens. I've today spoken to agent, who spoke to Samsung team on my behalf and explained whats needed from them and it was supposed to be an end to this nightmare! Quess what, just had an email from Samsung shop saying they can not help me as the phone was through 3d party-A1! I'm taking this to Financial Ombudsman, no way I'm going to trust they'll do anything! Every single person, either from Samsung shop or mobileshop tells me something different. You would have expect there to be someone who knows what's going on, there's enough proove they have big problem!

Ordered a phone and sim/phone plan…

Ordered a phone and sim/phone plan through samsung/a1 comms on 19th august 2021, initially received an email from samsung that phone was delivered on 22nd august. Needless to say the phone was not delivered. Phoned samsung every day since to be told that they would get back to me in 24 hours, which they never do. Phoned DPD who told me that the package was not delivered. I have provided the lost package reference from dpd to samsung, still no phone. At least the network EE have been great cancelling the initial sim and sending me a replacement. I have also contacted A1 comms and explained to them, as they provide the "package", initially seemed helpful, set up a 3 way conference call with samsung, who just repeated the same message as they have for 21 days, "we will contact the relevant department and get back to you in 24 hours", they never do. Was about to ask if they could help further when the conference call was cut off. Terrible experience and still no phone, will never buy from A1 Comms and Samsung again

Shocking company will never use or…

Shocking company will never use or recommend again complaint now raised with ombudsman, called by company to sell me a sky tv package, advisor told me he would give me £50 cash back into my bank the same day I signed up, after questioning how was advised he could pretty much do what he wanted as his manager was fine with that, no cash back rang to ask what’s happening to be told only after 30 days this was in June guys yes June, manager listened to call admitted he was wrong authorised payment and compensation to arrive after 30 days, 31 days pass no payment, rang again to be told payment released after 31 days but can take 2 weeks after to arrive in bank 2 weeks later no payment again rang and advised that they didn’t have my account details to pay it, gave details and told 2 days would show in account, 3 weeks later still no payment this is an absolute joke of a company and would steer well clear, I didn’t ask for cash back your company advised I was getting it but you struggle to pay it, it’s really straight forward accounts department can easily transfer it to my bank on any given day take the customers money but forget about the customer that actually helps keep you in business isn’t a great moto

Scam

My partner took a contract out with these but was very reluctant as the monthly cost was high so said no they rang back and offered him the contract and £600 cash back in 30 days, well we are 3 weeks over the 30 days and no £600 cashback, he has rang multiple times to be taking for an idiot so we are going to now report them to the fraud department for breaking the terms and conditions in which my partner took out the contract with

Customer service has been appalling

Customer service has been appalling. I placed an order through Samsung on 5th Aug (product advertised as in stock on the website). I was contacted on the 10th to inform me that my phone would be delivered on the 26th (3 weeks after initial order!). Obviously the phone wasn't delivered and I have now been informed by A1 Comms that my phone will be in stock in weeks 37-39 (which apparently corresponds to the 5th-26th September), but they still cannot confirm a delivery date. The real kicker is that the product is still advertised as "In stock" on the website.

They called me up about an upgrade

They called me up about an upgrade. I had to tell them on the phone about 8 times that I wanted to go away and think about what I wanted to do as I was debating sim only or getting a new phone and they pushed so much they even tried to get me onto a 30 day sim to then upgrade once I’ve made a decision.
They then pushed me to try and have a call back and would not let it go at all when all I wanted to do was think about what I wanted to do and how much I was willing to spend on the phone.

Phone and contract ordered via…Samsung shop

Phone and contract ordered via Samsung.com (a1 Comms) on 3 August. No idea when i might receive my phone and contract as customer services is useless just keeps saying it has been referred to the internal support team. On Friday 11th August told via text that i would receive before 16th August but I have received nothing. Contacted customer services again told the same again that it would be referred to internal support. Had email saying it was due to credit check process and i can phone a number and select option 3 to get current status. When calling that number and selecting option 3 it rings three or four times then returns you to main menu. If a credit check process is the issue why was £2.50 applied to my credit card then refunded as this appears to be your approval process according to some responses on here. I can see lots of people have had the same issues i just wish i had seen this before i ordered. I just want someone to resolve the issue and deliver my order. Not too much to ask in this day and age surely.
If i do get a response please do not say it is with the network provider as i have spoken to them and they have no record of my details anywhere. Explain

Shocking experience with this company

Shocking experience with this company. 8 weeks on and my daughter was promised she would receive the phone we sent back due to a fault and under warranty and again they let us down again. They still cannot give us a day when my daughter will get her phone back. I'm still paying the monthly phone contract though. The customer service is absolutely shocking. I would never use nor reccomend these to anyone. If you read this before getting a phone. Go else where and save yourself the heart ake.

disappointed

got a phone call offering a cheaper upgrade, got all the necessary info for them and waited days for said phone, asked when it would be delivered and they cancelled the order without saying anything but still taking money out my bank.

Great stuff

Great stuff. I had a business contract with A1.and the service was honestly A1. Dealt mostly with Emma Derbyshire one of the account managers, nothing was a problem or too much trouble . A very smooth transaction. I would not hesitate to recommend A1 for your business needs.

phoned packed up after 10 months of a 2 year contract, i sent it back and they said it had a tiny scratch on the back of the phone so the warranty was void, we couldn't see this as we had taken photos before sending it off. They then said it was water damaged, When i ask how they knew that as the phone wouldn't turn on, they replied oh wont it. The phone has not been near water and i knew that was not the problem. When i explained to the operator that the phone was waterproof up to 5 meters for 30 minutes as advertised on their web site, they asked me to send them the link to their own site !!!. So they refused to fix it.
I sent it off to Samsung uk and have now got it back they've said it was a software issue, NOT water damage like they told me.
In my opinion this company may sale phones, but god help you if it goes wrong, as they wont do anything to get it repaired or replaced.

Wish I had seen this before I ordered…

Wish I had seen this before I ordered through Samsung!!! Received an order confirmation when I placed the order. Few minutes later received an email to say my order was on hold until they could confirm my details and to call a phone number as soon as. Called the number which happens to be a Samsung number, round in circles, Samsung doesn't know anything about the order, keep putting me through to another department that must not exist because the line dies after a few minutes. Will be raising this with the credit card company tomorrow, will never buy another Samsung again as they are partnered with these thieves.

UPDATE: Have spoken to a few very helpful people today, and have been informed my order has now went through after confirming details I have already confirmed in the sign up process. Still wary of this whole situation. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence when nobody even knows the real name of the company, is it mobileshop.com, A1 Comms, buymobiles.net? Will see how the next couple of days play out. Not amused as I should have had the phone by now and am having to try and sort this fiasco using a faulty phone, nightmare. Will update and amend my review if/when this is sorted.

Very poor customer service a1 comms ltd also known as affordable mobiles take forever to process your order and when it eventually does get processed you start getting problems with delivery as there promise next day delivery on the website which is a promise there can't keep. customer service via phone and Web chat appalling ask to speak manager or supervisor they say not available ask to log a complaint they won't do that either wouldn't refer or recommend this company to anyone.

Do not order contract phone from Samsung/A1 Comms

Phone and contract ordered via Samsung.com (a1 Comms) on 31st May. Update
Well the saga continues. Iwas asked to provide more contact information for A1comms so they could look into the issue. I provided said information over 24hours ago expecting to be emailed or called by a rep from A1comms but have heard nothing from them directly. Today i receive an email from Samsung customer services, who i have spoken to on numerous occasions, last time yesterday, and they say that the "internal" team have confirmed my order is in the credit check process and wil progress once cleared!! All my previous credit checks have taken any time between minutes to a couple of hours at most, not nearly three weeks as of today. I then receive a text from Samsung (assume not customer services who sent me the email) and this says due to supply chain problems my order cannot be fullfilled and will be cancelled. Honestly it is hard to believe that such a large company as Samsung can be so inept at dealing with a simple order. Clearly different parts of the organisation who deal with orders do not communcate with each other, leading to the customer receiving different and inconsistent communications regarding their order. You have to laugh. I wonder if i phone customer services whether they will confirm my order is cancelled or whether they say it is still in credit checking. I will let you know.

Question - If the text i received from Samsung saying my order of A52 5g phone is being cancelled due to supply chain problems is correct, why does their website say if you order this phone by 8pm you can get it next day?

Update - My order has now been cancelled. I am not disappointed and i would have cancelled myself as it had become ridiculous as clearly no one really seemed to know what was happening. I have also been told via a text i will receive a £50 voucher code as compensation. We shall see if i do get this i am not holding my breath. My advice for anyone thinking of ordering a phone and network contract from Samsung online..... Do not do it!!!!

Mobile phone query

You seem to delight in taking money out of people's accounts for no
reason whatsoever. Will you have the courtesy of paying back the £2.50 you have taken out of my account fraudently. What is the reason for it being withdrawn by your company. It's seems an ongoing problem. I went on to order a phone..my bank came through with a message asking me if I
knew who you was for security reasons..I replied yes.Went back on to your website to order again and had the same message back from you saying bank has refused payment.

One of these checks is run as you place your order. We make a request for £2.50 from you using the card details you provide so we can run the check in the background. As soon as your bank authorise the transaction, we will inform them that we are not keeping the £2.50 so they can return this to your account.

This amount will have already been released and will reappear on your available balance within 7 days.
