Rob and the other service advisor were excellent. Sorted an item in stock for me and my partner will be happy tomorrow 😁
My only issue is if an item is currently experiencing a stock issue you should advise this on the website. Or have a team on hand to proactively call customers.

Applied for a contract they refused me and still charged me for it. Can take nearly £100 out my bank. And didnt even return the £2.50 that they take to verify the bank account

Mis sold a contract
Mis sold a contract. Called to complain and cancel. Had to get EE involved. Still not sure if its been cancelled even though they say it has. Still got my money after phone returned. (Was told to refuse to accept delivery by them).
Zero communication and no paperwork from them. Poor.
Avoid them.

***AVOID AT ALL COSTS, HIGHLY UNLAWFUL BUSINESS PRACTICES***
(part two) ** In response to your generic nonsense reply concerning online banking taking up to 30 days is a blatant untruth. My online bank has without failure over past four years taken 24 hours to process actual refunds initiated. It's a matter of fact due to the deliberate unlawful business practices of A1 Comms (Afforable Phones) in illegally holding onto deceitfully claimed deposits in the first instance. Should no actual tangible proof of refund be received by tomorrow morning, I will contact Trading Standards and my bank to raise fraudulent charges by A1 Comms (Affordable Phones).
(part one) Upon processing application for phone contract, an initial sum of £2.50 was taken from my bank card, then a further £99 deposit, despite cancelling the order within the hour, some 7 days later I'm still waiting a refund of my monies, to be further informed it could take up to 30 days is wholly unacceptable and raises morality questions concerning said business.

Super-impressed - personable, efficient and great value
I got my new iphone and contract through A1 Comms and they were a complete breath of fresh air compared to my slow and painful experience talking to bigger companies.
A1 were informed, friendly, flexible and fast and the deal I got for the phone and network I wanted was better value too. Really impressed and could not recommend more highly on experience to date.

Just placed an order through…Samsung.com -> A1 Comms/mobileshop.com
Just placed an order through Samsung.com for a Samsung A52 5G model on a 24 month O2 contract. Received order confirmation then immediately order cancellation - reason provided was credit check declined by network. The up front cost £14.99 and card processing fee £2.50 have already been charged from my account. I already have an existing contract with O2, bills are all paid, no issues. Called O2 who confirmed there is no reason they would decline the credit check and they have no records of the credit check being carried out - this would be done by mobileshop.com (directly contradicts the info available on mobileshop.com FAQs page). Spent several hours on the phone being bounced around from O2 to Samsung to mobileshop.com to A1 Comms - no one able to confirm to me why the credit check was declined and each referring me to contact the other company for more information. Final contact made 20 minutes ago - spoke to Emily at mobileshop.com who was only able to confirm credit check declined by network and said I need to speak to O2. I explained O2 can't give me this info and instead requested Emily tell me the name of credit check company used so I can contact them directly to resolve. She put me on hold and then the line cut off (there is nothing wrong with my phone line, as evidenced by the 2+ hours of phone calls to try to resolve this). Based on the multiple other recent reviews on Trustpilot from Jan-Mar 2021, many customers are experiencing this same issue and very rarely is it an accurate credit check decline, and is more often a system error on behalf of mobileshop.com. Please can someone from mobileshop.com contact me immediately. I require the following resolutions:
1a) Written confirmation of the reason why the credit check was declined. If you cannot provide this I need the name and contact details of the credit check company used along with any credit check reference no.
---AND---
1b) Written confirmation that the £14.99 + £2.50 charges will be refunded to my account (I'm aware this may take 3-5 days for the funds to appear back in my account).
---OR---
2) Written confirmation that the mobileshop.com internal system error has been corrected and the incorrect credit check declined result reversed, and that my order is now being processed (i.e. no longer cancelled).
I will be following up with each company via email - Samsung, mobileshop.com, A1 Comms and O2 - and will continue to follow up until I receive the above resolution(s).

Excellent communication and customer…
Excellent communication and customer service. Well looked after.
Appalling plus appalling Associates.
Appalling. They must be the worst ambassadors for 3-Three in the Uk and that cannot be good as 3-Three are little more than an exercise in style over substance. Clueless and unable to manage urination in a brewery. I had to rely on an Indian call centre to have someone educated and trained sufficiently well, to be able to solve nothing more than a keystroke solution. Avoid at ANY cost.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience! Went to through uswitch to find a good deal. Ordered a headset from Mobiles.net, banging deal - order cancelled in 5 minutes. Thought to myself, could have been a typo or something else. Fine, done another order - cancelled in 5 minutes. 19.99 upfront cost plus 2.50 for their checks frozen now. Next day rang up to see what is the issue, their answer was "we don't know, this is an automated system bla bla bla". OK, went to uswitch again and found another deal from affordablemobiles.net. ordered the handset - 5 minutes after cancellation... Rang them up and the same answer "we don't know why, this is an automated system bla bla bla". Ok thought to myself I will skip the middle man. Went straight to Samsung.com . ordered the phone from there. 94.99 upfront and 2.50 for their checks. Did not realised at the time that Samsung and all other websites works with these discussing people. in 5 minutes got an email that the order got cancelled. Well frustrated at this point. Rang Samsung (very helpful people), they said I should speak with A1 comms. rang them up again and asked for explanation and yet again I got the famous reply "we don't know". Frustration is mounting up. they said I will get a phone call with explanation in 48 hours. waited longer and no luck. got in touch again and they said I will not be getting any phone call. so speaking with different people in their call centre I am getting different info. shame on you! Rang Samsung again, they have advised me to speak with my bank witch I have done. There have been a flag on my address which I have corrected. Thought this may be an issue. Rang them up again and asked to place another order and the reply was "our system is flagging you as a fraud, we will not be able to process the order for you". At this point I am fuming! Checked my credit score and it is well above average!!! what is the issue!!! I just want the phone. If they would give me a logit reason why they are cancelling the order I would gladly accept it and move on, but they are calling me a scammer and not providing any info. I haven't missed any bills for years now. work in the same place for almost 9 years and live in the same place over 5 years ready to prove it in any means necessary. I don't take it lightly when I am being called a scammer. Absolutely horrible company. Well upset.....

Excellent Speedy Service
Our account manager Nicola Young is fantastic. Always there to help and is able to sort out new contracts and get them sent and setup really quickly. It's nice having all our phone contracts under one roof no matter who the provider is. It's been great working with A1 Comms.
Service is the key ...
We've been with A1 for a number of years now - which speaks for itself in such a competitive market place.Prices are always competitive and service wrapper is excellent. Queries are always handled quickly and efficiently - all round 5 star company I wouldn't hesitate to recommend !
Knowledgeable, helpful, no pressure.
I was directed to A1 Comms by the comparison website USWITCH. The lady I spoke to Chantal Brown was very knowledgeable and helpful. Her email detailing suitable packages and prices arrived almost immediately for me to peruse at my leisure. I did not feel pressured in any way. I would deal with this company happily in the future.
