Title: Possibly the Worst Airline I’ve Ever Flown
I’ve flown thousands of flights over the years with airlines all over the world, and Air Serbia stands out as possibly the worst airline experience I’ve ever had.
Everything about this airline feels broken. Customer service is non-existent: staff are unhelpful, dismissive, and at times outright rude. Communication is terrible, with passengers left in the dark on delays, cancellations, and changes. The booking process, check-in, and even basic enquiries are handled with an attitude that makes you feel like an inconvenience rather than a customer.
The onboard product is just as poor – uncomfortable seating, lack of organisation, and no sense of accountability for even the simplest requests. It’s as though customer experience has been completely disregarded.
Airlines can have issues, but what makes Air Serbia different is the consistent lack of care, structure, or willingness to resolve them. After this experience, I would actively avoid flying with them again and would recommend anyone else to do the same. There are plenty of airlines in Europe that treat passengers with basic respect and professionalism, Air Serbia simply isn’t one of them.
Constant missed flights
Every Friday the flight from Oslo to Belgrade is delayed with a result to miss out connecting flight to Thessaloniki the pilot today 15.08.2025 didn’t care to wait 10 minutes in order for us to get onboard Air Serbia rebooked us flights after 10 hours, we asked for a hotel but they declined by far the worst airline I have ever worked with every employee that we encountered the last 2 years is rude and very unprofessional
Intimidation before flight
Intimidation before flight, delayed flight, delayed luggage (by 4 days), no response from customer care, no confirmation that claim is received. Stay away!
The worst airline in history
They offer tickets online which suddenly aren´t available when you try to book. They make you fill out everything and you select seats just so you can find out that those seats or tickets aren´t available! Then I try another date and another date. Still the same...!
This company is a big joke! I have never experienced a airline being so extremely bad! It isn´t my first time having a bad experience with Air Serbia.
Air Serbia – A Masterclass in Chaos and Customer Neglect
Our flight to Greece with Air Serbia was an absolute disaster. Due to massive delays, we missed our connecting flight – and the only thing consistent that day was the airline’s complete lack of interest in its passengers.
We were stuck in the transfer area for hours, without the possibility to step outside for fresh air or have a cigarette. No drinks, no food, no assistance – not even clear information on what would happen next. Instead: ignorance and rude responses.
The handling at Belgrade Airport was the final insult: bleak, poorly organized, and with zero customer service. If you think a 21st-century airline would at least follow the basics of passenger care, Air Serbia will quickly prove you wrong.
They have ensured I will never step on one of their planes again – and I strongly advise everyone to spare themselves this stress. Miserable, chaotic, and disrespectful – that’s “service” at Air Serbia.
Air Serbia UNPROFESSIONAL and UNSAFE
Air Serbia lost our baggage and the baggage of 11 other people on our flight. They will not respond to any communication we try and make. The staff are very unhelpful. After more then 1 week still no information or update on the baggage they lost.
Do not trust the staff at Air Serbia. I also felt unsafe in the aircraft as interior trim was broken in many places and some was parts wore held in place with brown packing tape.
I fly very regularly and have never made a bad review about an airline. But I feel AIR SERBIA is very unprofessional and unsafe.
Title: Poor handling of delayed baggage – no response to claim
We experienced delayed baggage on a flight with Air Serbia, which was delivered to our hotel later. Just a few days after our arrival, we reported the issue via email, well within the 21-day deadline stated in the airline’s policy. However, we received no reply at all.
Weeks later, we only got a standard rejection, claiming the deadline had been missed – despite our clear evidence that the first message was sent on time.
There was no apology, no attempt to review the case individually, and no genuine customer care. This experience shows that Air Serbia places little value on service or goodwill. We will avoid flying with this airline in the future and unfortunately cannot recommend it.
Worst ever airline experience - DO NOT USE AIR SERBIA
Worst ever airline experience. We were a family of seven flying with Air Serbia from Thessaloniki to Copenhagen via Belgrade and our flight from Thessaloniki was 90 minutes late. We therefore missed our connection to Copenhagen. We were then rebooked for a new flight 36 hours later!! The new flight from Belgrade to Copenhagen was via Frankfurt with only 1 hour transit. This was not chosen by us, but by Air Serbia. We were not able to make the connection to Copenhagen, even though we rushed through the airport. But there was NO HELP from Air Serbia getting rebooked to Copenhagen and we had to book new tickets ourselves .. DO NOT USE AIR SERBIA.
Worst company ever
Worst company ever, you can simply not reach out to them or change a ticket.
Inhumane treatment, zero communication, no support
I had a terrible experience with Air Serbia. Our flight from Athens to Belgrade was delayed, which caused us to miss our connection to Gothenburg. No one informed us of what was happening — we were rebooked on a different airline without notice. Air Serbia staff at the airport were rude, unhelpful, and treated passengers with zero respect. We landed at 18:00 and weren’t taken to a hotel until 23:30, without any food or information. The hotel had no idea we were coming and had stopped serving dinner. The next day, no food vouchers, no lounge access, no assistance. We missed a concert we had planned for months. I’ve submitted a claim and am now waiting for compensation. This was not due to weather or force majeure — it was a complete failure of planning and basic decency. Avoid Air Serbia if you value clear communication, accountability, or even basic human treatment.
1 star is one too much.
1 star is one too much.
An hour delay made us miss our connecting flight and they couldnt even send us home the day after, but the day after again. I have my own company, which made me miss 2 full working days worth of income, another had a job interview missed and one other had an importen exam to get home to.
On top of that, even though they knew a delayed flight with loads of connecting flights to get was coming, NO preparations were made at all to deal with 50-60 people attacking the transfer desk with only 2 employees to handle it.
We stayed at a nice hotel, but now that we're waiting for a bus to take us on our flight. They are 30 minutes delayed and instead of a direct flight we have another connecting flight, but thank god it's not airserbia, but lufthansa that will take care of that.
Very unprofessional, -5/10 would not use again.
AVOID THIS AIRLINE AT ALL COSTS
Still Stuck in Line – Avoid Air Serbia at All Costs
I’m writing this review as I’m currently standing in the check-in line for the second time, desperately hoping that when we finally get to the front, this time, we’ll actually be checked in. But honestly, I don’t trust it at all. At this point, I genuinely don’t know if we’ll ever make it to our final destination.
Our nightmare began when Air Serbia moved our original flight to an earlier time — a flight we physically couldn’t make because we were getting off a cruise. Then, the rescheduled flight (just 1.5 hours long) was delayed by two hours, causing us to miss our connecting flight despite a 2-hour layover, which should have been more than enough.
When we landed in Belgrade, we literally watched our connecting flight take off. And the staff? Rude, unhelpful, and apathetic. One gate agent told me to my face, “I don’t care, fly another airline next time.” That pretty much sums up the attitude we faced.
We were then bounced from desk to desk in the airport like ping pong balls, standing in long lines only to be redirected over and over. Eventually, we were rebooked on a flight for the next day and sent to the Crowne Plaza hotel — which, to be fair, was quite nice. But the nightmare continued.
Today, we arrived back at the airport 3 hours early, only to face utter chaos and the longest, slowest-moving airport line I’ve ever seen. After waiting for over an hour, we reached the counter — only to be told our names weren’t in the system and we had to go back to the ticketing desk. And now… we’re back in this massive line, again.
This entire process has been shambolic, frustrating, and borderline inhumane. The complete lack of organization, compassion, and professionalism from Air Serbia has been shocking. I’ve traveled extensively, and this is easily the worst airline experience I’ve ever had.
Avoid Air Serbia at all costs. If you’re reading this while planning your travel — seriously, book with anyone else. I wish I had.
AIRSERBIA IS THE WORST
One of the worst airlines I've ever traveled with, it's the worst experience in my life traveling with Air Serbia.
They lost my baggage 2 times when going to my destination and when coming home. They made me miss the flight because of unacceptable delays I had to sleep at the airport for one night and it was horrible!!!!!
I hate Air Serbia!
RASPALI VUČIĆ I AIRSERBIA ZAJEDNO
RASPALI VUČIĆ I AIRSERBIA ZAJEDNO! WORST COMPANY EVER!
Total mess
Passengers flying from Moscow with a connection flight in Belgrade be aware: this airline issues only the boarding pass to Belgrade and then one need to get another boarding pass at transfer flight counter in Belgrade. My plane was 1.5 hours late so upon arrival to Belgrade all passengers ran to get their boarding passes creating a mess. People were pushing, screaming and getting ahead of me in line. Only one airline worker was at the counter to serve over 100 passengers who were late for connection flight. Total mess!
12 h long flight broken screens
I flew with Air Serbia on a 12-hour international flight and none of the entertainment screens worked. The crew said it had just broken, but I later found out this same issue happened weeks earlier on the same route.
That means Air Serbia chose to keep flying long-haul without fixing it — and without informing passengers. No apology, no warning, no compensation.
I will never fly with them again.
Very unhelpful and disorganised
Very unhelpful and disorganised. Safe to say this was my first and last time flying Air Serbia
Excellent airline
I understand that people have had a range of experiences with Air Serbia, but mine has been deeply positive and personal, built over years of frequent travel, often under emotionally and logistically difficult circumstances.
Air Serbia has often been my most reliable and sometimes only connection to Belgrade. And in every instance, I’ve found their staff, from ticket agents to check-in clerks, flight attendants, and pilots, to be exceptionally competent, patient, and kind.
One experience that I will never forget is when my family and I traveled with my late grandmother. She was elderly, wheelchair-bound, palliative, and often in poor health.
Despite the challenges, we were determined to fulfill her final wish: to return home to Serbia and pass away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones and laid to rest in her country of birth.
This was not a simple journey. She required oxygen onboard, numerous medical clearances, and approvals from doctors in Canada, Switzerland (our layover), and Serbia, not to mention special permissions from every airline and airport involved. And Air Serbia passed with flying colors.
Their team made the impossible possible. From
check-in to landing, the care, respect, and compassion they extended to my grandmother and our entire family left a profound impact.
I will forever be grateful for their role in helping us give her that final one-way flight home.
I find that AirSerbia flight attendants, in particular, embody a warm, old-school hospitality, genuinely caring, attentive, and occasionally adding a lightness to the journey that lifts the spirit.
In all my travels, Air Serbia has also proven practical and dependable: I’ve never experienced lost luggage, onboard meals are consistently good, and service remains strong across the board.
This is my sincere experience, and Air Serbia will always have a special place in my heart for what they did for my family. Their dedication and humanity go far beyond what’s expected of an airline. Thank you, Air Serbia.
Delayed flight
It was very unpleasant journey i had with the airlines. The flight from Brussels was delayed 1hr30minutes and the crew told me that they gonna wait in Belgrade. But the boarding staff has told that the flight is departed on time at 00.50hr. Meanwhile the staff in the ticket desk told me it has waited for 16 minutes and it is departed at 1hr16minutes. I do not know who miscommunicated and i missed the flight to India from Istanbul. If I could give a negative staring then i would.
Air Serbia delights with a 4 hour trip taking three times as long, for no reason
Waiting on the runway is no big deal. However it becomes a problem when the airline just decides to wait there for 3 hours. Why? No idea, no one told us anything. It becomes a very big problem because I have a connecting flight to catch - one would think a 4 hour layover is fine, but not with Air Serbia!
Were approaching the Belgrade airport when I get a text message my connecting flight has been "changed". Just changed. Is it cancelled, missed? Who knows, even the airport help doesnt. "Its okay though!" they say, "You have another flight in 6 hours." Wow, very good. Didnt realise I get to be blessed on this fine day for a 12 hour trip from Berlin to Ljubljana.
