Why is a package from Amazon Australia…
Why is a package from Amazon Australia not delivered after a month of ordering it. My sister ordered a book from Amazon Australia to be shipped to Perth on 13 August 2025, it is more than a month later. I ordered the same book from Amazon USA and received my book within a week. Shipped from USA to South Africa. Does not make sense. The service is terrible. No e-mail address to send queries to.
Delays- Amazon Service Commitment in Question
This is the second delayed delivery I have had from Amazon, one of them missing a Birthday Event. For both, the delays were 2 days. If Amazon cannot keep to its word of “next day” delivery, then don’t publishsuch commitment at all! Or perhaps it’s service culture is on the back slide? I agree with every single negative review below - As a frequent online shopper with several online sellers, including Amazon, I have experienced all of the following numerous times:-
1. Drivers say delivery attempted unsuccessfully, nobody home - I am home 24/7 except on the very, very rare occasion - Couriers Please Delivery Driver's habitually lie and create excuses for their sheer laziness.
2. When trying to contact Couriers Please to track my parcels and resolve issues I am met with a Bot Virtual Assistant that only provides limited options that do not relate to my complaint.
3. Informed that the tracking number does not exist and when eventually able to speak with an actual human who could not speak English let alone understand a word I was saying could not resolve my issue.
4. After being told that the tracking number does not exist received an email from Amazon saying that the parcel with the same tracking number had been returned to a pick up point and returned to sender - No notification of a pick up point was provided by Couriers Please who denied existence of the tracking number.
4. Numerous parcels dumped outside my building or delivered to the wrong address despite clear written delivery instructions and directions being given by me.
5. Numerous times dumped or deliveries to the incorrect address have been stolen or gone missing.
I pay good money for my orders to be delivered to my home, not to be dumped unsafely, delivered to the wrong address, stolen, lost, inefficient and negligent consignment record keeping, literal limited ineffective robot treatment and lies

I wish I could give them 0 star. I have the latest Kindle Paperwhite, brand new, only had for just two and a half weeks. Right after unboxing it, I discovered that about 30% to 40% of the screen was yellowish color — a known quality issue after I googled it. Since it was still under warranty and eligible to a replacement, which was confirmed by Amazon.com.au, I expected a straightforward replacement. Instead, what I got was the worst and most dishonest customer service experience I’ve ever had.
Over this ordeal, I sent 14 emails and made more than 10 calls. Each time, Amazon gave me the exact same excuse: their internal replacement system was having errors. Hearing it again and again, I came to the conclusion it was nothing more than a lie to avoid actually helping me.
To make matters worse, Amazon’s customer service lied to me at least twice by promising call-backs that never happened. The second time, I even double-checked and was assured a customer service manager would call me the next day — that call never came.
When I finally told them I had lodged a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading, Amazon stopped responding to me completely. Their overseas customer service is not just unhelpful, but a total joke and failure.
I used to trust Amazon, but after this experience I feel utterly disrespected and deceived. A brand-new device under warranty should have been replaced quickly and professionally — instead, I was met with lies, excuses, and silence. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone, and I’ll be sharing my story around as much as I can so others know how badly Amazon can treat its customers.

Wow, I have just read another review and every country around the world has rated Amazon less than 2. This is disgraceful, and they are doing NOTHING to improve their services. I wrote a memoir, and the publisher ordered 5x proofs to ensure the cover was perfect before publishing. After publishing, I ordered 40 copies and they ALL arrived with defects. Amazon Australia are blaming the publisher (Powerful Books) because they state the cover wasn't uploaded correctly and to their specifications. Powerful Books has published many books and never had this issue. Amazon Australia refuse to take any accountability or provide any refund for their errors. We know it is Amazon Australia because others in the UK and Australia have ordered the book, and their copies are perfect. However, with all this said, they still refuse to take any accountability, and I'm thoroughly disgusted that Amazon gets away with providing low-quality, defective books, and it is clear by all the other reviews they have been getting away with this for some time. I suggest people escalate their matters, for us in Australia, start with Consumer Protection and take further advice from them. Amazon clearly believe they are untouchable and they need to be held accountable if they have no moral compass of their own.

Poor delivery and customer service
I’ve been a loyal Amazon Prime member for years and spend a lot on the platform but lately, the service has gone downhill.
Amazon continues to assign Dragonfly as the courier for my orders, despite having it noted on my account not to use them. Dragonfly regularly claims “attempted delivery” when no one ever comes. No knock, no card, nothing. Then I’m forced to wait days for another vague delivery attempt, with no way to know when (or if) the package will arrive.
Worse still, contacting support is a nightmare. The AI-generated responses are useless. They often ignore what I’ve written, repeat generic phrases, or say they’ve “forwarded it to the relevant team” without telling me who that is or what action is being taken. It feels like no one is actually listening or taking responsibility.
For a company I’ve supported for years, this is incredibly disappointing. Between unreliable couriers and unhelpful customer service, I’m losing trust in Amazon.

Two days ago, a man who purchased my last house 4 years ago, rang me to tell me my Amazon order was delivered there.
I have three Amazon accounts, and they all have different addresses or different email addresses.
I have tried over and over and over to get these changed or deleted. I am always assured it has been corrected, but they always stay the same.

Again no delivery on that day either. They are so big , they don’t care if you are a satisfied consumer or not . I might try TEMU…… and I’ll sell my ECHO on EBAY
