Amazon SCAM. Ordered airabreeze air cooler, received broken fake one with nothing inside, see photo, airabreeze not on box. As I lifted from box handle immediately broke off. Then I put water in as p... See more

If I could provide 0 stars for delivery would.
Delivery drivers either do not read instructions or cannot read the instructions.
After a next day delivery promise from their distribution centre in Perth, 5 days later the package has been returned as undelivered.
Every day it came from Kewdale l, and every day it went back. I had attempted to use a parcel locker close to home as I’m in an apartment… every day it went back to their distribution centre, no parcel lockers available. Even though my home address and instructions were on the order, they did not attempt to do this. Although one day they said they did, but I was at home and they did not try to even press the intercom. Dozens of calls and emails later, I ended up asking for a refund. Amazon could have literally dropped it on the street anywhere in my suburb and I would have had more chance of just stumbling across it than receiving it from their deliver drivers.
I am not sure if this is just a Perth customer service thing, but I blame Amazon as they are the ones offering this atrocious service.
3 months of waiting for nothing!
Waited 2 months for an order, checked up to see the delivery status and they said my item that I have ordered will be coming in January. So I waited another month and then the status of the order has been changed to cancelled. 3 months of waiting for nothing!
Can trust Amazon blindly without any hesitation
I didnt want to write any review but when I saw the trust score of Amazon, I am literally shocked to see the rating and I just could not stop myself to write a review. I am 100% sure more than 50% of the reviews are fake and deliberately done by competitor companies.
I have been shopping with Amazon since a while now and I have ordered huge number of items from Amazon because there is no better online shopping platform than Amazon and I can order anything from Amazon blindly. With Prime delivery, I get the items faster than expected, 90% of the times. The products are always same as described and I am even more shocked to see the comments about customer service because I have not seen a better customer service than Amazon in my online shopping history. I have never been dissapointed with Amazons products and their customer service. Even 5 out of 5 does not justify the company's service for me.
Great keyboard but terrible delivery experience
Ordered a keyboard which I am very happy with, but the delivery was atrocious. Amazon's delivery driver dropped the package at the side of the road where anyone could have picked it up. Im amazed it was still there when I picked it up. Lift your game Amazon!
On time and never disappoints.
Amazon provides delivery dates, and I always receive the goods on the dates specified. Very happy with products I've purchased and delivery service. Not one order has been missed. I can't understand why the reviews here are bad.
have been shopping with Amazon
I have been shopping with Amazon for a while since 2019.
Recently I just sign with Prime membership to make my shopping experience better.
All these years, I did not have any issue with Amazon until recents experience from around end of November to December 2024.
I can imagine that the website received plenty of orders from across the globe towards christmas.
Myself also did a few purchases for different items.
Like any other customer, sometimes what you bought does not work in your favor.
I found out it is very challenging to chat with the team and get the same answer.
I am not too sure if the team are local or overseas.
1st issue, you will be connected with numerous agent to assist with your enquiry.
2nd issue, some items are purchased on the same day, and when the buyer needs to return, the website generates individual return postage.
3rd issue, some of the items are overpriced with the quality of the product.
4th issue, I was under the impression, prime members will always get a lower price from non members.
But after I received the item, I found out a better price for non prime members with more items inclusive in the same website.
With poor internet connection issue when chatting with the customer service team, you are connected to 3-4 different agents. Not only it will take forever to get your problem solved, you need to keep explaining the issue even though there are an automatic response advising agent will read all the previous information before assisting.
You can get a different approach/solution from each agent and when you finally think all ends well, disrupt online connection and we are back to square one.
Agent is or was reluctant to check the item order number when you only remember the product name. you are forced to check and provide the information. In the beginning, I was under the impression that they system is not build to find out this information from buyer details until I found out different agent were able to retrieve the order number by giving a product description.
Upon returning the items, I did explain that I would like to return all in 1 postage label instead of purchasing a different bag/box when you have multiple items.
When I went to the post office, I couldn't use 1 box and attached different postage label.
I was suggested by the post office team to advise the Amazon team that all other items that are under different label will be on the same box.
On my return, I contacted the customer service team about the situation, and this time I was lucky that I spoke to 1 agent only and was confirmed to contact them again in a few days to reconfirm if company received the package and advise other items that were non registered on the same label.
That's what I did, and to my surprise, the instructions given were incorrect. I should not be doing this because not all items came from the same warehouse.
I did explain that I only know this information and since I do not have the items anymore, can the agent check with the warehouse and cross check with the return list.
At this moment, the same thing happened, different agent online simultaneously and expected to repeat the problem enquiry, product details, etc etc.
Company system will not be able to see the list of the return items, and buyers have to provide this information.
To add to my frustration, Amazon did not have the system to combine all items in 1 label as some of the items came from different warehouses.
I was advised to name the agent that gave this incorrect information so they can do a further investigation.
I do not have this information as I hardly chat to 1 person until the end.
To my surprise, 4th agent that assited me on that time was able to check the chat history and I was advised to wait for a few days to check and provide a necessary refund.
Other online shopping channels allow buyers to return the items under 1 return postage label for different items.
However Amazon is a big and well known company, they do not have the system to make the return process easier, instead buyers are forced/required to purchase different box/mail for each label.
The conversation also ended abruptly which made the experience super bad.
Not all my experiences are bad, otherwise I will not stay loyal until now.
I share this experience to management email that I can find and If this management care to check the online review, they will see all the negative reviews that are similar to what I experienced.
Eg: bad customer service, items are overpriced for a cheap material, poor delivery service, Untrustworthy star rating in different social media.
I have a low hope that company will do something as long as company can still make profit. But I do hope lots of ppl will read this review and be extra CAREFUL before purchase and mental preparation when you need help from customer service team.
Amazon Prime Delivery are a joke
Amazon Prime Delivery are a joke. I have clear instructions to use the intercom and speak into it to access building. They cannot follow instructions and more often than not end up delivery attempted. Constant phone calls do not change anything.
Deceptive, misleading product 'specials' that are far from it!
I was about to purchase two TP-Link Tapo C120 4MP/2K+ Indoor Wi-Fi Cameras from them, only to read way down in the body copy (not the main product description) the words "Size Name: Camera Only", even though the pictures showed the fully-working camera/cable/mount. The product was listed as being ex Amazon Australia (not a 3rd party seller), and at a "special" was/now price. Yes, it was (slightly) cheaper than all other sellers on the internet, BUT everyone else sold the camera with all the factory-packaged and necessary accessories like power source, cable, mounting hardware, etc. So, not a bargain at all! I actually chatted with them to doublecheck it was just the camera, and indeed it was! Thank goodness I did that, as receiving just a camera would've been totally inoperable. If they were a registered company in New Zealand, I would have reported them to the (wonderful 'attack dog') Commerce Commission immediately, for misleading consumers, and they would've hauled them over the coals. Discovering that they have 1 1/2 stars here came as no surprise.
I used to like buying from Amazon
I used to like buying from Amazon. Since we moved to an area where they use Dragonfly couriers, each order has become a guessing game of when/if it will arrive. We have to stay home for our orders as we are in a gated community and the courier can't get in if we aren't here to open the gate. So we end up sitting at home for days waiting only to get the standard line about running 'into an issue when attempting delivery.' I know they haven't attempted delivery as all calls from the front gate are logged. This delivery was promised for today, now we have to stay at home - again - until our parcel finally arrives. I've tried talking to both Amazon and Dragonfly in the past and nothing has changed. Today was their final chance. I will no longer buy from Amazon while they still use this hopeless and unprofessional courier company.
Amazon....how little they care
Tsk Tsk Tsk Amazon. You use a third party courier (Dragonfly) and all responsibility goes out the door. It's turned into a hold your breathe at the end of the day to see if they'll even bother to deliver packages. No notifications with the exception of the usual BS from Amazon about how sorry they are. It's 2025 and still the act of delivering a package not once, not twice but a third time has become too hard. I checked it's not 1915 when deliveries were performed by riders on horseback.
Missing items, but my problem not Amazon's
I did not receive all the items I ordered, but according to Amazon I did. They were items I needed for travel and have now run out of time. I contacted customer service as soon as I opened my package and was told I would receive an update in 72 hours - I did not; 5 days later I followed up to be told that I have to fill out a stat dec providing them with the information I have already provided. Not that I will ever buy anything from them again, but I would video opening the box. Also I was not at home at the time of delivery but my husband was. He was about to contact me to get the code to give the delivery driver but was told the code was not necessary. My items may have been packed, but they did not make it to my home - perhaps the delivery process. The customer service people just read from their script and while very nice the whole situation is really disappointing and the onus is now on me to prove that I have not done the wrong thing when I am the victim.
Knowingly using poor delivery services
Amazon uses a delivery company - TGE with a 1.2 star rating. Consequently I did not receive my packages for Christmas and there is nothing that Amazon can do about it other than refund or resend. How about NOT using a company with such a poor history to deliver to your customers in the first place! It shows a low level care-factor to your customers that are relying on you to get them their items on time. Shame on you Amazon!
First and last time I will use amazon…
First and last time I will use amazon in this New Zealand. Made a large order, which amazon.com.au cancelled on suspicion of unauthorized activity. Repeated calls assuring them I made the order and emails with proof of the order and my details could not convince them otherwise. They refused to refund me, as it was 'unauthorized' activity. I am having to make a claim through my bank, who advise it will take up to 120 days to investigate. I have been robbed, and the thieves are amazon.com.au
I got messed around from on an item…
I got messed around from on an item where Amazon was the seller. They don't allow you to give them negative feedback for them as a seller. You can leave feedback for 3rd party sellers though. Dodgy... So I'm leaving it here.
Remember to always ckeck non-biased review sites before buying from a business
Unacceptable payment process where it…
Unacceptable payment process where it took a full five minutes to get past repeated window trying to sell Amazon Prime - perhaps as many as 20 pop ups. Surely this breaches ACCC rules?
Horrible customer service
Ordered a 3d printer as a christmas present for a friend and on the date of delivery i received an email saying available for pickup, i went there to pick it up and it wasn't there. I contacted amazon and they said that they cant do anything because the parcel was delivered intact and on time. Never ordering from them again!!!
Customer Service is a Joke!
Tried to contact Amazon to change the delivery day of my order which needs to be signed for (due to work). Their customer service reps basically told me -tough luck- if you can’t sign for it, your delivery will be returned and cancelled. I won’t be ordering from Amazon again. Not recommended!
Amazon did not deliver my item but marked it as delivered.
I recently purchased an iPhone 16 Pro, but I have not received the item. However, it is marked as delivered on my Amazon account, which has me very worried. I escalated the issue to customer service and was advised to wait 24–48 hours for a resolution.
However, I still have not received any formal outcome. This situation is extremely frustrating, especially as this is a high-value item, and as a Prime member, I believe I deserve better attention.
Three items were supposed to be delivered on December 2, 2024, and while two of them arrived, the most expensive item: the iPhone : did not. I was shocked to see that the iPhone was marked as delivered. As clearly shown in the photo which courier took, only two items were delivered: a pack of nappies and a set of six oat milk cartons.
I contacted Amazon customer service on December 2, 2024, at 1:31 PM and was told to wait 24–48 hours. This is a high-value item, and the situation has caused me significant stress and many sleepless nights. Despite contacting customer service daily, I feel I am being given the runaround and am not receiving the resolution I need.
Finally, an Amazon executive manager intervened, and I received my refund. What a thrilling experience! Moving forward, I’ll need to be extra careful—make sure to open all packages in front of the courier before providing the OTP or any mobile verification, especially when purchasing expensive items.
Amazon's Christmas Farm ad is terrible
Amazon's Farm ad is terrible - it's supposed to be a feel good Christmas experience but actually depicts caged lamas and a caged solitary pig.
In 2024 Amazon shouldn't be using poor/cruel animal welfare to promote it's business.
