How to avoid Scamazons Subscribe & Lose scams!

Usually this happens end of quarters, but lately, when there is a huge price drop, Amazon will process Subscribe & Save orders as far as a month early! Even when it says you can cancel if done before the ship date, you get the red notice that item has been shipped, just so happens at the moment of the cancelation attempt. Try to get a rep to cancel, if they do, Amazon retaliates by charging the card regardless and refuses to take the holds off, saying they cant, when in fact they can, and do so monthly when it means they will make more money. Heck, they have even tried shipping subscriptions canceled months prior.
How to avoid this scam, and the holds.
1) Don't do anything on the Amazon site yet. Go to your bank site first!
2) Never use a debit card from a main account. Use debit or credit cards with accounts that have no overdraft, that you have more control by putting funds over, when you know your actually buying!
3) Move all funds out of the accounts that Amazon has access to.
4) Most banks have an online feature to block each card. Do so, so Amazon cant try using a different card. Even with backup payment off, a rep will try another card regardless.
5) Once all cards blocked, go onto Amazons website, and go into the Subscribe and save portion, and cancel every single item. As you do this, you may get bank notices of Amazon's attempts to charge your blocked cards. When they fail, watch how fast all those orders they claimed were shipped get canceled. Amazon NEVER ships until the money is collected. Blocking them saves you time and heartache.
Last year they tried charging me $40 per case of Zevia root beer that was advertised at $12 a case. I had ordered 10, so the $120 order changed to well over $400+. Moment I got the decline message, I moved all funds and blocked cards.
Take screenshots so bank can do charge backs in case you do get ripped off. This is because after I wrote an article, similar to this review, Amazon started splitting orders. If a order changes price, like the root beer. Amazon will charge $40×3 and ship 3 cases at $120, instead of shipping the 10 at $12 for $120, if given the chance.

Poor Customer Service and Public…

Poor Customer Service and Public Shaming
As a self-published author (pen name Cc. Wellington) using Amazon's platform, I received this notice without warning or explanation:

"We apologize but Amazon has noticed some unusual reviewing activity on this account. As a result, all reviews submitted by this account have been removed and this account will no longer be able to contribute reviews and other content on Amazon."

Key Issues:
Public Defamation: This red-highlighted message appears on my public author profile, implying misconduct without evidence. This damages my professional reputation and credibility as an author.

Zero Transparency: Despite multiple appeals, Amazon provides only vague, automated responses citing "proprietary enforcement methods." No human contact, no specific explanation other than their computerized, generic templated response, no opportunity for defence.

Irrelevant Public Shaming: Why do potential book buyers need to see that I can't leave product reviews? This information has no bearing on my work as an author, yet it remains permanently visible and highlighted on my profile.

Poor Customer Service: A company of Amazon's size should provide basic customer service - the ability to speak with a human representative and receive clear explanations for account actions while treating their clients respectfully.

While Amazon has the right to enforce its policies, publicly shaming customers without transparency or recourse is an unacceptable business practice. I accept that I can no longer leave product reviews, an insignificant point at this time, as I will no longer be purchasing products through Amazon.

Amazon is dead

Amazon is dead. Full of low quality products from China, Prime is a cheat (you still have to pay for delivery/etc. extra) and customer service is horrible.

Far worse than the UK Amazon

I ordered a couple of bits and bobs which I had forgotten to pack. My UK Prime didn't work which is I suppose fair enough - but they offered to deliver the next morning for EUR 6.99 - great.
I kept on getting messages saying that they couldn't deliver them as we were not in. We were in.
That evening at 9.00pm the delivery driver phoned up saying where are we? My wife speaks Spanish fluently. We gave him the address and he said that he was in a completely different area. He said that he would deliver it the next morning - not great but okay.
I checked the address that I had entered on Amazon.es and it was 100% correct.
I waited in the next morning - then got a message that it would be delayed. Then got another message saying that it was delivered as we were not in.
I contacted customer services - which was not fantastic - but they said it was not delivered for "unforeseen technical reasons" but would be delivered in the next 24 hours. They offered me a EUR 5 gift card as compensation which I refused as it was an insult.
I went to the shops - half an hour away and bought the items which were cheaper and cancelled the order.
This is in stark contrast to UK Amazon which I find to be fantastic although it can be a bit pricey.

I've reached a breaking point with…

I've reached a breaking point with Amazon ES due to two recent, highly frustrating experiences involving defective products.

In both instances, despite receiving faulty items, I was charged for return postage, including one return that cost me €16.59. To make matters worse, the first refund I received was €12 less than my original purchase price, and I'm still awaiting the refund for the second defective item.

Adding to my frustration, lodging a formal complaint with Amazon ES seems impossible. This lack of a clear complaint process, coupled with the issues of return charges and incomplete refunds, is unacceptable.

Furthermore, I've noticed a significant disparity in the refund process: obtaining a full refund to my original payment card appears to be far more difficult and time-consuming compared to receiving a quicker refund to my Amazon account. This discrepancy makes the refund process feel deliberately complicated when customers opt for their original payment method.

Worst SERVICE. Free INSTALATION….asked me to pay FOR

I ordered washing machine 2 weeks ago with insulation included. When the courier bring the machine at home just left in the middle of the room. They were very rude and told me I have to pay them extra for the installation(which suppouse to be included) I text 3 times to customer support and every time they told me I have to wait 24-48 hours for their department to contact me and I am still waiting. I paid extra 100€ for the urgent installation because my family was on holiday to visit me.

I have contacted Amazon.es five times…

I have contacted Amazon.es five times to correct an invoice that was issued with the wrong billing information. I followed every step they asked for: I added the correct address with VAT number to my account, I sent multiple emails with the exact wording they requested, and I even spoke to customer service on the phone — where they assured me it would be fixed. It wasn’t.

Each time I reach out, I get a boilerplate reply as if it’s the first time I’m contacting them. It’s absurd that a company of this size is unable to fix something as basic as an invoice — especially when they are the seller. This has caused serious problems for my accounting.

If you are buying as a professional or need a proper invoice: stay away from Amazon.es. They are clearly not equipped to handle business purchases responsibly.

Disappointing Experience with Amazon Gift Card Redemption

I recently purchased a €120 Amazon gift card from a local store and redeemed it on Amazon.es about a week ago. However, I was shocked to receive an email from Amazon stating that my order had been canceled and the balance of my gift card had been annulled.

The email mentioned that this action was taken because I allegedly attempted to use gift cards that violate their terms and conditions. I was not provided with any specific details about what led to this decision, and I find it extremely frustrating that my funds have been frozen without a clear explanation.

I have reached out to Amazon customer service, but I have yet to receive a satisfactory response. I do not have the redemption code anymore, as I discarded it after redeeming the card. I feel that I am being treated unfairly, especially since I purchased the gift card from a legitimate retailer.

I urge Amazon to provide better communication and transparency regarding such issues. It is disheartening to feel that my account may be at risk due to a misunderstanding. I hope to resolve this matter soon, but I wanted to share my experience to warn others about potential issues with gift card redemptions.

Why do Amazon use awful Seur???

Why do Amazon use Seur???
Since Thursday I have been asking Amazon why they are sending my many subscribe & save items with Seur. I repeatedly explain that Seur do not deliver to my address - it's a bit rural & the lane is narrow.
They do not listen & "assure" me that Seur will deliver. They "assure" me that they'll call me back, they "assure " me that they'll reply to my email. NONE of this happens.

Today is Monday. As predicted Seur has not delivered over €200 of goods. No supervisor can speak to me. No one calls me back. The trust has gone, I am disgusted with the lack of care for their customer. Amazon have effectively stolen my money & did NOTHING to prevent it & now do NOTHING to sort it out.
Days have passed, no contact or delivery from Seur, no reply or resolution from Amazon. I'm on another call to Amazon to try & get my money back, in the meantime I'm cancelling all my S&S items & resolving to stop using Amazon. At least I won't be contributing to any of Jeff's future weddings.

works well after with hygiene

After I filter out all fake goods and non name China garbage items, and click thought not to use Prime, and doing exact searches I did found via LLM chat, I can get to items I need and they delivered.

So unfortunately not all filters and addresses work well, cannot know ahead if they can deliver to Madeira or not, until you finally want to pay.

Amazon refuses to deliver pkgs to my house

Instead of amazon delivering my packages, they have decided to hand off all my orders to the post office to deliver. They arrive at the local amazon hub, are then placed on a truck that takes them across the street to the post office. The post office DOES NOT deliver pkgs to our little box at a central mail kiosk. They expect me to drive 50 miles round trip to get my order from the oversize pkg pick up annex. I can not drive there so I don't get my orders. If I wanted to drive to get things I would just go to home depot or Walmart. There is no reason to buy at amazon If I have to deliver it myself. I have been fighting with them for over a year to stop this madness. They just DO NOT CARE. The amazon trucks come past my house three to four times a day yet they refuse to put my orders on one of those trucks. Some how it is cheaper for them to give them to the post office and then get them back from the post office and then return them to the vendor after I do not pick them up. Three times this week I have not gotten my orders because the post office did not bring them out. So that is over $200 worth of items that will now be returned to amazon by the post office. I call the credit card company to report the incident and they give me my money back so I don't have to wait the 15-20 days it takes for the returned pkg to go through the system. Amazon is absolutely the worst place to order from any more. I try to order from Walmart or one of the other online sites because anything is better then amazon

Update: finally after many many calls, emails and bank interaction amazon returned money. going to take a step back from amazon for a while my blood pressure can not take their nonsense any more

It is a waste of time buying on Amazon…

It is a waste of time buying on Amazon Spain. The goods don't arrive because the drivers of all the carriers, Correos Express, Seur etc, steal the parcels. Then when you complain, Amazon just tell you to " wait until so and such date".
It the most lousy customer service you will ever experience. Don't waste your time and money

A to Z guarantee is not worth the paper it’s written on. Received goods nothing like those advertised. Amazon marketplace said I could return them and that pick up would be arranged. Nothing further happened. Amazon didn’t want to know. Customer service is shocking.

Can be slow

I lived in the US for years and used Amazon Prime there. I have been using Amazon prime in Spain for a year and the contrast between the two is quite obvious. Here is Spain the deliveries can be much slower. Items that are supposed to be delivered the next day take two days to arrive. When I order multiple items in an order, they arrive in dribs and drabs over several day which is not very convenient. I miss the sleek fast service I got from Amazion in the US.

You don’t always get what you want

Client since the early 2000s. Until 2022/23 I was very satisfied with the customer service. Since then especially the Amazon Warehouse/resale is not working properly. Their quality control seems to be nonexistent. You buy Pelikan Souverän pens … and receive the cheapest Pelikans (P200, M200) instead of the ordered M600 and M1000. You buy a Visconti Van Gogh and receive an empty box. They send ballpoint pens from CdA that never arrived. Maybe it is time to stop buying on the Amazon platform, because you end up losing your time and risk not getting back your money - at the end, you depend on the customer service to get your money back.

cancelled my account after Chat said it would not be

Amazon.com deleted my personal account after they assured me on their chat that the close account request was cancelled. Then they open a business account and I am not a business owner. How messed up is Amazon.com now? NOT WORTH IT! They deleted my personal account with an order I was charged for but not all items were delivered. REALLY BAD! Until this is corrected. I will write a bad review for this company weekly.
