amazing site, I don't buy there so often but when I do the shipping company takes care of customs and I get the product to my doorsteps and the item arrives super quickly.

Gift Card tied to Amazon US though I live in Europe

As a nice gesture, my employer gave my team with colleagues spread all over the world a gift card each as a thank you for the hard work. When wanting to spend my gift card I realized that the gift card balance can only be used for purchases made on Amazon US. Amazon claims that this is where the gift cards were purchased so this is where they can be used but my employer has their HQ in Amsterdam so that makes no sense at all. The majority of colleagues in my team are located in Europe so if we are to buy anything from Amazon US our gift card will hardly cover the shipping fee. And here I thought we lived in a globalized world..

No Boxed Games, decent most of the time, but UK one is better

Here's the only problem I've had with Amazon either UK or .COM USA one Some games have pre-order bonus code which was a bit annoying to get as I had to contact customer services sometimes they didn't email me the code so had to contact them, and the other times were receiving the product in a padded envelope that damaged my games in transit that are shipped to me outside of USA territory. That means when I order a game from Amazon.com USA I receive the game damaged because they used a padded envelope instead of a hard box.

If only they used hard small boxes for these products to pack them, I contacted Amazon a few times because of this and asked them more than 7x for all my packages to come with hard box they promised me they would but never did even to this day I receive broken or bent boxes.

The only reason its got 4 star is they have unrivalled customer returns for full 100% money back, and cheaper goods sometimes and they send replacement out without questions, even a pickup from my address which is extreemely convenient if it weren't for that I would give them 1 star.

Amazon is declining

Amazon is declining my last 5 times shopping with them was a nightmare. My clothes came ripped and faulty and its impossible to contact them because they do not sell their own products so Im stuck with dealing individual sellers. I have switched to ForSale.bid where I get free shipping on any product and plus the prices are even lower than amazon and most of all they hold themselves accountable and not blame sellers.

Great website, huge selection, Amazon delivery needs major work

I have been buying almost exclusively from Amazon for years. I've loved how well their website performed, the prices were great and shipping was quick and reliable. For the past two months Amazon has switched to using their own delivery service. Its run from a city 60 mile from my own city. And my city has a population of 80,000 people. Large enough to support local delivery. Deliveries went from being delivered in the daytime to being delivered at night. And many times the deliveries mysteriously "have an exception" and aren't delivered on time. I'm looking for another company to buy from since shipping with amazon is so poor.

Shipping has gone downhill

Amazon used to be fairly reliable. It's been much worse recently. I don't think the pandemic is a reasonable excuse since 1) it's been over a year and most companies have adjusted to the changes and 2) plenty of other companies can ship products reliably.

Regular Amazon shopping: several items were 'undeliverable' because they were damaged. Amazon's website basically just said that they weren't going to be delivered. That's it. They didn't offer replacements or refunds. This has happened to me several times in the last few months.

Some items arrived damaged and leaking. Some arrived with parts missing. Some items take much longer than in the past, even with Prime.

Amazon Fresh: they gave me a bunch of wilted vegetables. One item missing. Overall, products cost twice as much as a physical grocery store. But Amazon also expects a tip on top of that.

A large majority of my Amazon orders had some sort of issue.

Amazon reviews are completely unreliable and mostly fake. Some 4-5 star items are great, some are complete garbage.

AWFUL

Horrible. They lock you out of your own account after I set up 2 step notification because I was hacked. Their expert service department takes 48 hours to respond to emails, even when you ask them to call. And they never know what is going on on your account when asked about a previous complaint, even when it is only 1 week difference. I have spent so much $$ with them and will never use them again!!

Everything is from China

Everything is from China. It’s nearly impossible to find decent items in the Chinese counterfeit junk heap that is now Amazon prime.

Additionally, shipping has gotten terrible. My last order was marked delivered, but I’ve not received it.

Unscrupulous gouging sellers allowed on…

Unscrupulous gouging sellers allowed on their site. Remember during this pandemic. Amazon allowed their sellers to sell 1/4 rolls of toilet paper from China while they advertised full rolls. Along with masks being sold for adults that barely fit a child, also from China.....Amazon should NOT be doing business with a country that flat out lies about their products while Amazon is profiting from the American customers being taken. I have found countless merchants flat out lying about their products in the description. I notify Amazon and yet the Merchants are still selling on Amazon and deceiving the American public.

I had to email Jeff Bezos (his email…

I had to email Jeff Bezos (his email address was posted in the public) yesterday after I spent past two days called, emailed and chatted with 10 customer service agents without any help for my simple return issue (not first time happened). None of them either read nor helped or were willing to follow up. They either disappeared from chat after waiting 20 minutes each time, mislead by sending incorrect information, or never answered my question at all but instead kicked me around with an endless cycle of emails. Later, I contacted seller who was quickly refunded me and much easier to worked with.

This morning I received an email from an Amazon agent named Spencer who said he's responding on Jeff Bezos's behalf. It's just like a joke again, his email just proved he didn’t read the whole email I sent to Jeff Bezos either. He talked about the issue I did not ask and wrote false information said Amazon CS refunded me. He said they strive to provide a world-class customer experience from start to finish. What a joke! The truth is Amazon paid a bunch of 3rd world country's customer service agents who can not simply read or just treat customer like trash and can not fix a thing. eBay is 10 times better!

ALMOST ALL CHINESE SELLERS WITH BAD PRODUCTS. BEWARE!

Amazon is executed well overall but unfortunately it's a dump for very poor quality products with nearly 90% of Chinese sellers. Just click on the "sold by" for the product you want and almost every single address is a Chinese one. The products barely pass inspection because Chinese sellers don't care about quality products. They also hijack USA sellers' listings and steal images from the internet to falsely misrepresent their products. I've returned MANY items to Amazon due to bad quality. Most of the products have instructions in poor English or really bad descriptions. All our money is going to China and the USA sellers can't compete.

Also, the cost of Prime now has raised and is extremely high for what it offers. The CEO is filthy rich and a billionaire while his employees are treated terribly and the USA sellers are constantly being ignored when they run into issues. Amazon's storage fees that sellers have to pay have been raised which cuts into the profit margins that are already low.

I've already cut away from buying on Amazon as often as I used to. The convenience and fast shipping is great but I've seen both sides for buyer and seller. The seller side is completely ugly.

Also, I never buy name brand products from Amazon. Even a pair of Nike shorts could end up being cheap knockoffs. If the quality of the counterfeit is the same, it's not even noticable but if it's a horrible quality knockoff, then it's clearly not acceptable. I also stay away from name brand skin care items as there's plenty of counterfeits for that too. Amazon also has so many crazy sellers that would contact you outside of Amazon to harass you to remove negative reviews for their products. It's completely scary.
