Incorrect machine supplied!

I ordered and paid for an AEG Intergrated 7000 series washer/dryer. I have since realised I had been supplied, by appliances direct, with a much more inferior 6000 series machine plus it has now broken down. When phoning AEG I was advised to request that they supply me with the correct machine. So far I have been offered a 30£ voucher. Be very careful when ordering and receiving goods from them.

Do not use this Company THEY ARE REALLY BAD

Do not use this Company including Better Bathrooms and Furniture123 - they are all one Company! I ordered a Spa bath on the 24th April promised delivery for the 6th May - this was cancelled. Then promised delivery for the 7th May - this was cancelled with no further information about another delivery date. I have written to the Customer Relations Manager of ApplianceDirect who has apologised for the delay and has blamed it on the Supplier, Better Bathrooms ...... I have now cancelled the order and I am awaiting a refund to my credit card company who I have also informed about this poor service. You cannot get in touch with anyone by telephone the phone just rings and rings ..... avoid these companies like the plague!

Orded the fridge on 18 Yh March they only collected Tue damaged fridge yesterday 24th April 2025 I have a small flat. I would never ever order from this place again.! I Bought a brand bed fridge/freezer 329 came looking like a refurbished fridge freezer dented and scratched had to send back ordered another one same thing this company are useless in the end I cancelled and ordered from somewhere else I had the fridge in my home waiting for a collection for over 3weeks they arrange for collection i waited in all day and evening the first time they lied said I wasn’t home when I was the second time they sent a message saying they had an emergency the 3rd time they sent one man I live on second floor come man couldn’t take the fridge the 4th time the same excuse I am so frustarated with this company I would highly recommended that you don’t order from these people as they are a night mare they will take your money and mess you around I lost that time that I can’t get back. having things to do waisted my time!!!!!! Do not order from these people I have never experienced this in my whole life really bad

Do not buy from these

Do not buy from these. They should be locked up. They send me a cooker that is faulty. I paid for connection. When using it it had a fault so I called them t9 take it back and send replacement as still with the 14 days. The man turned up to take it but refused saying I had t9 pay for someone to disconnect it. What would I have to do that with a c9oker that faulty what they sent. Customer service shocking and not helping at all and I'm stuck with a cooker gbats I have never used because it's faulty

Faulty item return warning

If your item is faulty make sure you take photos of the appliance , it's serial numbers packaging every angle of it ,before sending it back including the box once packed and don't do what I had to do pay and sort out my own collection to send it back so refuse and get them to arrange it , because once it arrived they said they received the item back damaged yet they couldn't provide any evidence the photos they sent showed no damage to the appliance, numerous customer service emails later and I was fortunate to get all my money back but it was not easy. I would never buy from them again it took.a month to sort out a faulty return saying they couldn't refund anything because the item was damaged and I would have to claim through the courier I used, yet the box arrived with no damage so did the item they are just cowboys.

Air conditioning system issue

I ordered a split air conditioning system and specifically
requested a 5m pipes kit. They supplied 3m pipes. Phoned to report the issue and found it difficult to get them to understand what the problem was. There was a language issue, as they were based in the Philippines, albeit I ordered the unit from the depot in Huddersfield (so I thought). I was asked to submit photos to prove the pipes were 3m, before they would consider supplying 5m pipes. Not impressed to say the least.

Some things you must know about this company

Some things you must know about this company , they are unreliable and when things go wrong their communication channels are very poor , things rarely get delivered on time , chasing things up is a nightmare , they say that you should respond to links that they will email you - but the links often don’t work so you must call many times ! I wonder how much profit they make from their expensive call lines ! I bought a product that had a clear manufacturing defect , the base of a sink unit machined wrong so it will not fit flush with a worktop - it was not transit damage - the machining marks are very clear ! , however they offered no replacement or refund and only £20 credit which I doubt I will ever see because they said I was too slow after my order in replying, granted I was slow but it does not change the fact the product has been made wrong and never used . My advice is buy from a local store off real people , where you can easily return your problems or deal with Argos or Curry’s were you will get far better service and the prices are the same , I suspect with appliance's direct they are selling a lot of end of line or refurbished products and some slip through the net without informing the customer and they just hope you will accept problems , I will never again buy from them , I would rather pay more and have good service because cheap service ends up costing more , now I need to buy another sink unit .

Delivery never recieved and chasing for payment

Ordered and phone before christmas as a gift for delivery date of 24th Dec. Next day email / sms was sent was delayed delivery. further had to chase them for delivery and after few arguments they cancelled the order and processed refund.
1 week down the line they called and claim delivery was done and harassing for payment or threatening for legal action.

Very poor company that lie to you…

Very poor company that lie to you regarding delivery, book day off work to wait for delivery only to get a text saying delivery cancelled, when courier company contacted they haven’t received item for delivery, now had to open a case to get a refund for a product that I haven’t received and there is no urgency to resolve the issues from them so think I will be claiming the £500 from my credit card company, very poor company that feed you numerous amount of lies.

Appalling appliance and customer service …

Appalling appliance and customer service!
My washer/Dryer broke after 3 months with water flooding from the door seal and it DOES NOT dry clothes. I chased customer service for months as they would not replace it until an engineer had confirmed it was broken. I also sent videos of water gushing all over my kitchen!!
After 3 months an engineer came out WITHOUT a replacement part and the Apliances Direct told the engineers I no longer needed a repair???

Appalling service throughout for a sub-par machine!!

Delivery and aftersales

Easy to order but had to chase the night before at 8pm for a delivery slot then the delivery company and installer was not good. I paid for the delivery uninstall old washer, install new one do a cycle to check its working ok and removal of old machine and packaging. He was rushed he said first that he was not there to install and had to check with the office. Then he just installed, when I said he was supposed to check the machine was working he said he was only the courier. Not good at all. I tried to call the company to explain and was left on hold for a while so didn’t bother.

Awful after care

Awful after care. An air conditioning unit leaked because of an internal cracked pipe fitting, contacted appliances direct, 4 weeks of back and forth with their technical help people blaming the installation. Now taking them to a small claims court. Avoid, do not buy

As a new customer

As a new customer, i will give the benifit of the doubt.
If they are as bad as reported and the appliances are not up to standard i will cancel credit card payment and advise visa/mastercard that this a sham company, if not. and all goes well i will update with a glowing review... Fingers crossed

SHOCKING SERVICE

Ordered a double oven from this company and all was going well until delivery, on opening the packaging we had broken glass falling everywhere from the smashed oven door!! Phoned customer services and arranged for a replacement leaving us with no cooker for a week and then a week later the delivery company tried getting to us up the wrong road and instead of phoning to ask directions took the replacement back so now left for another week without oven to cook with! Phoned customer services again to cancel order only to be told no refund until they collect the original damaged oven!!!! Terrible customer service who don’t care about there customers

You'll never get what you order

AND ANOTHER ONE. Six weeks and they keep pushing the fridge/freezer delivery back. The website said 'In Stock' when I ordered, so they are lying on their website. Absolutely terrible company - first they harass and spam you for insurance and don't back down until you get the ICO involved with a GDPR violation, and now they lie on their website and push back delivery of essential items with zero compensation or apology. I've since cancelled the order, ordered the same item from their main competitor for the exact same price, and it is going to be delivered tomorrow.

Appliances Direct are an actual joke of a company.
