Rigid Policies and Awful Communication!

Absolute nightmare experience. I made a mistake on an order and filed a cancellation request within 5 minutes of placement.
Rather than honouring a standard, immediate request, this store waited 48 hours to decline it, falsely claiming the package had shipped.
The tracking number they provided proves it hasn't even been picked up yet, they just printed a label to lock in the sale.

They are now ghosting my messages. I am incredibly grateful I bought this through eBay, as their team is stepping in to force a resolution. If you buy from them directly, you will have zero recourse. Proceed with major caution.

Clear easy to use website. Fast postage and well packaged. The laptop itself is perfect. Purchased A-Grade which looks and feels as good as new. Excellent service and value for money. Will use again.

Laptop was perfectly clean, with very little scratches marks on its ports. I got a defective charger but i got sent another one very quickly. They're awesome people who sell affordable and reliable laptops!

I have purchased 2 computers this year...Lenovo and Dell and we are very happy with them. Staff were very helpful and delivery was very prompt...price wise very good.

The guys were very helpfull with my laptop issue, they arranged a replacement and managed to transfer my data as well.

I wanted a simple laptop with win 11 and I didnt want anything fast and fancy. I browsed the internet checking for prices and found this one - refurbished, acceptable grade, priced within my budget. Bought, paid and the order was confirmed . the item arrived within a few days and found only one issue - the connector was very loose and feels like it was going to fall off. It was also a very used connector. I described it to ACT and they sent me a brand new original Lenovo charger. Very please indeed. Highly recommend seller. Good communication. Professional.

I have purchased from ACT multiple times and always received excellent service and products, I even recommend them to family and friends. HOWEVER, I am disgusted with their latest service and product delivery. After purchasing a laptop for my mum it arrived without having been cleaned, I am unable to login as it is still set up for a Victorian government department. I contacted ACT not too bothered as I have had good customer service previously, but two service disputes logged and two phone call voice messages later I have not had a single response. I won’t be purchasing ever again.

Simple and easy to find the product I wanted, ... quick to finalise purchase, - and a good price.

Laptop I bought is excellent in condition and after purchase service is excellent too. Friendly and helpful staff. I bought refurbished laptops from others but ACT is the best. 100% recommend ACT.

This is the second computer I bought from here only this time for my partner. Computer is like new and works just as good as the same laptop you get for a business which is what we wanted.

Purchased 4 refurbished Dell Docking stations and 2 of them were DOA. Raised a Dispute in the resolution centre and 5 months later am still waiting for them to reply or even acknowledge that I have raised the dispute.

I am extremely disappointed with Australian Computer Traders. I purchased a laptop in late January 2026 for my child, and the experience has been very frustrating from the start.
Initially, the device had a power cable issue that took over a week to resolve. Within just three months, the laptop completely stopped working. The return process was unclear and difficult, requiring significant time and effort to get proper instructions. This resulted in unnecessary stress and additional costs.
What’s most concerning is the lack of accountability, as I was later asked to justify the issue rather than being supported as a customer.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company.

The goods sent were faulty. I have now sent several emails (none of which have been replied to) and rang them a few times. When you hit the number for “support”, it always defaults to a voicemail saying they are too busy. When I spoke to a salesperson over a month ago, they promised to find a solution and come back to me “shortly”. I have left more voicemails. Very disappointing.

Had a slight problem with the built-in keyboard. Customer Service staff extremely helpful and guided my through the return process. I was slightly concerned as I needed the laptop for an overseas trip. It appears that a replacement was supplied that arrived extremely quickly. The unit itself is great (first Lenovo I've had). Very happy

2 laptops 1 for my son for schooling and 1 for me for home , both laptops were supposed to be GRADE A both had several issues from battery , to software to hard drive issues usb slots not working ect sent both back several times to get the problems fixed to only receive another laptop with more issue , after being told they would be checked thoroughly by there head technician " not true after sending back both laptops several times my sons come back yet again with more issues , and they want us to send it back yet again" my advice is look else were for a laptop unless you want constant issues and headaches

I ordered (N269048) and paid for a laptop bag 3 months ago. It's never arrived, and I couldn't track it even with the order number. Three emails to the company has resulted in a resounding silence. Don't buy from them.
