Awful manager
Awful manager - rude, unwilling to consider our case (despite delivering a formal letter of dispute).
It's a pity as the employees there are great.
I would avoid this company at all costs.

Absolutely terrible - never choose this company. Cars are full of scratches (had rented 2 cars, both were), it is virtually impossible to check whether all scratches are registered/written down when renting out. Afterwards they claim that you have made another scratch although you are 100% sure you haven't touched anything with your car. They write you (when penalizing you afterwards) that they are sending proofs of the scratches (photos) in the appendix of the email, however they are not. Catastrophic - avoid at all costs!!
Hello,
im so happy with this company. Any time im flying back home i use there cars, with no problem at all.Stuff are very friendly, always on the time, cars in the perfect conditions, no problem if i decide to rent longer or need to fly back home and leave the car early... For me 5 stars service
How this company has over 300 reviews with 5 star ratings on Google is beyond a mystery, and also probably fake!!
If booked through Holiday Autos check that you haven’t been given Auto-Rental!!
Why such a bad review? Let’s start with when we arrived at Bratislava airport. There was no one to greet us at arrivals. After 15 minutes, we did see someone but by the time we picked up our bags and stood up from our seats they were gone. 10 minutes later they came back and showed the car etc and gave us the paperwork. They said they paid for the parking but they didn’t leave us the ticket which gave us an awkward situation at the barrier.
The car itself was actually great. New car and reliable - also an excellent tactic as any small chips can be easily detected.
However, there was no fuel, even though Holiday Autos stated it was a full to full fuel policy!
On returning the vehicle I was told I would have to pay €20 as the car was dirty! I have rented 6 cars from 6 different countries in the last year and I never had to clean the car on return. And I’ve driven through Norway in the rain and Iceland in the snow!
He said it was in the contract (showing me in the paperwork) and I should’ve read it before signing. I told him I couldn’t read Slovak and if he wants to stick to the contract, I should get some money back as the tank was not empty yet!
When I got back home to the UK, I had an email straight to say that there was a small chip and I would be charged €300 which they took out of the deposit (probably as soon as I returned the car!)
After making an initial complaint, I asked for an invoice for the repair so that my insurance could take care of the damages. I mentioned that the cleaning fee was ridiculous and their reply was that they are a Slovakian company so it would make sense that their contract would be in Slovak...
REALLY?? At an international airport?? Do only Slovakian people fly into Bratislava???
The reply I got back was that they were dropping the charges and that I would receive the money back instead. Needless to say, weeks had passed and I received nothing. Not only that, they quickly changed their fuel policy after my complaint!
I emailed them many times and said if they’re not going to refund me, at least give me the invoice so I can get my insurance involved. The answer I got back was the same bs for 2 months!!!
In the end, I had to get a ‘third’ party to sort this out!
So there you have it. If you value your time and want a stress free visit to Bratislava, don’t use Auto-Rental.
Unfortunately I cannot give zero stars!! How this company has over 300 reviews with 5 star ratings on Google is beyond a mystery, and also probably fake!!
