2 months later still no working boiler

2 months ago I agreed a finance package for a new boiler with this company. I explained that as we’re in a new build the setup included solar panels and they told me it wouldn’t be a problem. The sales staff were brilliant and attentive and seemingly listened to what I had to say so I was confident enough to take out a contract.
The engineer came to install the new boiler but constantly told me he’d never seen a setup like this before in his work life but he would change it. 9 hours later the boiler was installed but whilst we now had heating we had no hot water.
He eventually explained that we needed a different boiler because of the setup and they would need to order that in. No problem.
We were due to go on holiday 2 weeks later so they informed us if we phoned when we got back they would have everything sorted and an installation date.
I phoned back and the wrong part had been sent but they would be phoning back when the right part arrived and they would then set the installation date.
Eventually I was given a new installation date for two weeks later.
The installer turned up but had no boiler and the part I needed was still in scotland. We rang furious that we’d been let down again and they didn’t apologise just said that’s the case so we had to deal with it. Another appointment was then booked which the day was forced upon us so I had to change my plans to be available for them and take another day off work.
Today the installer turned up with the boiler and with the part but now they’ve realised it needs specialist pipes and bolts. So guess what we have no hot water still. We now have to wait for more pets to arrive and then boilersforfinance.com will decided when it’s best for them to install.
The head office here is just terrible. There’s only one girl that works there called Rachel who is not helpful in anyway. She accepts no blame from the company!
Oh and did I mention that we’re already being charged for a service we aren’t getting.
Trust me when you read this review, choose somebody else. Don’t let your families go through this.

All fabulous

From placing order via David to the installation of my boiler by Neil and Michael it was all plain sailing. Rachel in reception was extremely efficient. The installers were fantastic and moved my new boiler to a better position. They were very efficient and tidy. I have read some bad reviews but I can only go by my own experience. I would recommend this company to family and friends well done to the full team.

Had my boiler fitted yesterday by Richard who was alovely friendly installer cleaned up when job was done and took time to explain the working order of boiler and thermostat thank you so much and I will be recommending you to anyone who is in need of new boiler

From ordering through to completed…

From ordering through to completed installation, BOF were professional in all departments. Mikey was punctual, polite and efficient, answering all my questions during the 1.5 days it took to remove old and install the new, dealing effectively with a couple of unforseen probs along the way.

I had my boiler fitted 2 and a half…

I had my boiler fitted 2 and a half months ago, it has broke 6 times since, one time leaving me without heating or hot water for two weeks, with a nine year old and a 2 year old in the house it is un-acceptable. I am still paying the full price for a boiler which is not working to the standards required when fitted, the last visit being today and yet another visit scheduled as every time the boiler kicks in it is leaking water. We have had no compensation for the amount of times we have had to have off work to sort these problems out. Half the time they don’t even email back, all they ever say is we will send someone out. Would never recommend this company to anyone!!!

I have to say a very smooth and friendly service, josh really understood what we wanted and took time to explain every thing clearly and honestly. I really would recommend this company and our new boiler is getting installed within a week of booking.

NOT RECOMMENDED team were really…

NOT RECOMMENDED team were really friendly and gave good advise. Engineer who installed the boiler left the house in a mess. Floor boards etc not laid back down. Just left me with a massive hole in floor. Also left me with a very large hole in wall for access to pipework and wallpaper hanging off wall. Took photos and sent them to complaints department. Always told they will call me back. I've phoned another 3 occasions and still no phone call back. Asked them to email me info regarding warranty on boiler and breakdown numbers. They still have not sent that information either even though I have requested it several times. Don't want to know as soon as a problem arrises. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Disgrace of a company, don’t buy unless you want your home destroyed

Purchased a boiler from this company, came to fit it told me a boiler would be no good needed full house repiped and new radiators.
Moved my boiler from a cupboard to the loft? Boiler kept regularly dropping pressure, countless trips up loft to repressurise (heavily pregnant).
In November was in hospital having my baby when water began flooding my bathroom (caused by leak in the boiler) my partner called boilers on finance to come out as heating was not working and the leak they said 2 weeks wait! Unacceptable eventually offered a manager to come out and have a look, partner had to leave me and newborn in hospital to come and meet him (45 minute drive) they then phoned and said they wouldn’t be out until two days later!
Manager came out said that the pipe under the boiler had been loose, over time expanded with the heat and popped off, hence leak (admitted liability) used some super glue and left.
I got hone from hospital with newborn heard dripping from my hallway (bottom storey of my home) underneath bathroom which is also an electricity cupboard were my meter is located! water had travelled down and collected causing my whole ceiling to collapse! Contacted boilers on finance yet again who told us they weren’t responsible for the pipes (which they fitted) to fix it ourselves.
Eventually realised it was their responsibilty and sent a boiler installer out to “assess the damage” never got back to us. I called them to chase it up yet again and they told me to contact my home insurance to fix the damage i told them not a chance, they were liable! They refused to help just call home insurance, i spoke to home insurance who said i would need to pay excess and higher premiums if i did this but really boilers on finance have their own insurance company and they should be using them obviously.
Numerous times i called was told someone would call back, never did.
Sent a letter in December outlining the steps i wanted them to take otherwise i would have to take legal action gave them two weeks to respond.
They called on the 13th day saying they were giving me an update that they were organising a plasterer to come to my property and they would phone me on Monday with a time.
This was January i never did hear from them! I raised a complaint on boilers on finance website anout this and no one frok the company contacted me about the complaint.
They sent the same boiler installer out again to do the same “assess the damage” report he done already in November.
He worse his xray vision glasses apparently and looked through my bathroom tiles and assumed that the water has just passed down the bathroom wall and not caused any damage! Therefor they will not remove the tiles to check, meaning i will have to do this at my own expense because if there is infact damage resulting in mould in my home with a 5 month old baby is completely and utterly dangerous never mind unacceptable!
This company is shambolic, customer service is shocking, no managers available apparently, still take monthly payments happily enough.
The extensive damage caused to my home and them accepting liabilty but no one follows it up other than myself which is hard with a new baby, they obviously think they can palm people off for long enough they will just give up and be forced to repair boilers on finance shoddy work themselves!
Would never recommend this company to anyone they don’t care for their customers and also leave your home a death trap with no empathy towards the situation!

I would recommend

Our old boiler packed in right before Christmas and I rang around everyone I could to sort something out. I'd like to highlight Josh in the sales team in particular for making Boilers on Finance stand out above the rest. Calm, friendly and informative - which was much appreciated at that stressful time.

I soon had a Vokera combi boiler installed just in time for Christmas and I've had no issues in the slightest since. The engineer (Mikey) came out especially for the installation and did a cracking job.

Because of this spot on service I would happily recommend Boilers On Finance to anyone.

Wrong materials, job not done, company doesn't care

Initial call was 5 days ago, went through the process of what my heating system was radiator numbers etc which was ok.

Did find it odd they wanted me to e sign documents on my phone immediately whilst at work but done it anyway.

Not once did th man on the phone clarify or double check info just wanted documents signed.

Install booked for today (5 days later)
3 times between the initial call and today I uploaded the pictures of my old boiler but got numerous calls saying they didn't have them, in the end I just emailed them across.

Engineer showed up today with a gas boiler when I'm on oil and said he couldn't do the job.

After he left I called boilers on finance and they do confirmed the job won't be done and told me I'd have to wait on the sales team calling me back?!

Really, they screw up and I have to wait.
So An hour or so later the sales team called and with no apology just wanted to quote and book in a different boiler Install at 2000 pounds more.

When I asked about the original finance agreement I was told that it doesn't matter it will be sorted when I agree to a new install, I then asked about a new install date and they said they would go and find out and call me back within 15-30 minutes.

10 hours later I'm still waiting.

Tldr. Company only cared about getting a finance agreement signed, showed up with the wrong material, left the job not done and don't seem to care

Excellent company.

We got a new boiler fitted by BOF today. Mikey the engineer arrived at 8am and by 10 past 9 had the radiators drained and old boiler out. He explained everything when he arrived and didn't stop until the work was finished. He cleaned up after himself and explained how everything worked before he left. A very professional man and very knowledged in his trade. Would high recommend this company.

A brilliant company

Thankyou to the whole team at boilers on finance from the sales to the installation, everyone was so professional and made everything so easy. Guy, who installed the boiler explained all our options and took the time to answer any questions and made sure we were happy with every step, he went through the workings of the boiler and after care advice thoroughly. We are so happy with the standard of the finish and the whole experience from boiler on finance team.
We would definitely recommend you to friends and family.

Highly recommend this company

The service from the first enquiry was excellent was stress free from start to finish and mikey who came to install the new boiler was such a friendy guy he answered all my questions he installed the boiler with no mess and left the house imaculate but only after explaning how new boiler works and what to do if it needs reset thank you highly recommend

I have to say that these have given brilliant service from start to finish. Thanks bobby for the care you took and guy for the installation. All completed in a couple of days. Cant comment on boiler yet obviously all working well at moment. Please may it continue. Thankyou

Fantastic from start to finish

Fantastic from start to finish, from the booking of my new boiler to the engineer who come out to do the install, the engineer Mikey was top class, he was very informative about anything I asked him, left the place immaculate after he had done the install, he left the house very clean whilst he was working, had plenty of time for my 6 year old daughter watching him as well hahaha, all in all top notch from everyone, would definately recommend this company to friends.
