Lovely experience at Wimborne Boots opticians after having my eyes tested in Farnham, Surrey. Staff are professional and patient, choice of specs great and they fit and work perfectly. Won’t hesitate to go back next time for both the test and if needed, new specs.
Boots Opticians in Amersham is staffed by friendly, competent professionals. Everyone I had contact with today- from Georgina the pre screener, Shiva the despenser- who helped me make a great frame choice and fully explained my pricing options- and also Vinchika the optometrist were fully engaged in finding the best solutions for my eye health.
Great friendly attention given. Great help with glasses from Luke and eye exam completed by Mo. Lovely clean store with good help and advice to any query I had.
I took out damage insurance in March when I ordered new glasses through Boots Opticians. I fell in July and bent my frames out of shape. Because I'd paid for the insurance the Manager (Mandy) at Boots Opticians immediately offered to replace my glasses frames free. I collected them 4 weeks later. Boots Opticians had replaced both the frames and the lenses for me without quibble and without my having to pay for any excess. Only 4* because I had been waiting for a call to say that my replacement frames were ready to collect but I waited then had to call to find out.
The staff members were very friendly and professional. They made me feel comfortable and were attentive.
I went in yesterday to get my husbands glasses realigned after a fall. Roney was very good because they were quite fragile. I was then talking to the other staff about having had lens replacement and having problems with dry eyes etc. I'm waiting to go to Southampton Hospital in December to have plugs in my tear ducts and Alice the optometrist said she could do it there and then. I had no idea that they did this procedure there and I'm already feeling the benefits.
All the staff, Alice, Matt, Ann, Roney and Cassidy were so helpful and friendly, I cant thank them enough.

I had an eye test at the Boots branch in Northallerton in North Yorkshire. It was my first for several years. The images taken were seen by an optician who noticed feint discolouration on the pupil of my right eye and said it may be nothing significant but he would refer to to the eye casualty unit at the regional hospital for further examination. Within the hour I was called into the unit and given laser treatment for a tear to my retina. I had no symptoms and had no idea how long I had been suffering a tear. Only the eye test and the optician Mr Yousuf Hussain had uncovered it. I was told that there was a real risk over time of my suffering a detached retina. I want to thank Mr Hussain for his diligence and professionalism. Not only in spotting the problem, but a timely referral and for ringing me at the end of the day to ensure that the casualty unit had been in touch with me. I discovered the following day that Mr Hussain was a locum who was carrying out his first and only shift at the branch. If he wants more shifts I hope he gets them. He certainly deserves it and would be an asset to anyone. A service for me that cannot be faulted.

Firstly, I receive a brilliant service when I am in the shop. Rearranging an appointment is totally a different experience! I have been trying to rearrange a glasses fitting this morning. I have been phoning the shop numerous times only to hear on occasions a message "line busy" all the other times the line is ringing our an no one picking up! I then phone the National Call Centre (which I try to avoid) as once they informed me there was NO Opticians in Northwich and I had to redial to speak to another Adviser! This time they informed me they couldnt rearrange a glasses fitting appt and told me to phone the shop! After explaining I had already been doing this and no one was picking up, the Adviser said they would ring the shop themselves and put me through. I waited (listening to piped music) only for a message coming through to say phone customer services! Riduculous, so I cannot rearrange an appt and just looks like I havent turned UP!

Only giving this 1 star because I can’t give it zero.
Absolutely disgraceful experience at this branch, 3 out of 3 pairs of glasses I ordered were wrong. All 3 had the wrong frames and 1 had the wrong lenses.
When I came to pick them up I was very disappointed that the glasses were all wrong but that was only the beginning of my ordeal at the hands of these charlatans.
I was messed about and made to wait 30 minutes for the “manager” to find parking so I could get my refund. Davood spoke to me like I was something he’d stepped in then left the store, Boots should be ashamed to hire this person.
When the “manager” finally arrived for work half an hour late, having finally found parking, she just entered the refund in the machine and didn’t do anything any other employee couldn’t have done earlier. The refund didn’t work several times so she tried to tell me my bank didn’t accept refunds? I tried 2 different banks cards and know this to be utter rubbish.
I tried to reach out to head office but as this store is a franchise they didn’t care and just passed me back to the “manager”, who called me days later with a load of excuses about how she couldn’t find parking so had to drive around then said “is there anything else you want me to say?” So clearly wasn’t taking my complaint and feedback seriously.
Should’ve gone to Specsavers as they say…

Experienced a warm, personal service from a very attentive, knowledgeable and professional team at Boots Opticians, Ashton under Lyne. A particular shout out to Julie who guided me effortlessly through the paperwork, pre-tests and ordering and Sumayah the Optician. Both are excellent at their jobs and an absolute credit to the company. I have used other Opticians in the past but rate Boots the best in terms of its personal and professional service.

I had a very positive experience with both Tamar and Stuart being very helpful. In particular Stuart took me through the test stage by stage carefully explaining what was happening and being very informative about the health of my eyes. Both members of staff were very professional and friendly at the same time.

Nothing words can explain, but I have had very good service at Glasgow Sauchiehall store's optician.
It's all good; just keep up the good work.

A big thank you to Carly (Castle Street, Norwich branch) who always greets me with a smile on her face. Super efficient in giving me information re appointments which I am unable to access online. She also straightened both my glasses and sunglasses arms which had somehow got distorted. Really appreciate your help Carly. Thank you.

I feel well cared for when I go to Boots opticians. The staff at my local store are lovely and my eyes were very thoroughly tested. At other opticians I have felt like I am on a conveyor belt but I feel treated like an actual person at Boots.

Disappointing customer service and restrictive policies.
I recently visited the Boots Opticians branch in Stroud for an eye test, and unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired.
First, they tried to charge £50 for an additional scan, which is significantly more expensive than the £10 OCT scans offered by competitors like Specsavers.
More frustratingly, I asked beforehand if my PD (Pupillary Distance) and monocular PD measurements could be included, and was told the optician would write them down. However, after the test, the optician refused to provide them, stating they only give out PD measurements if you purchase glasses from them.
Withholding these essential measurements feels like a tactic to force customers into buying eyewear directly from them rather than having the freedom to shop around. I expected much better transparency and customer care. Won't be returning.
