Courteous and helpful staff
I had an eye exam at the St Neots branch. The initial checks were performed by Cian. The main eye test was taken by Diya. The fitting and sale was made by Vicky, checked by Lucy. The whole process was smooth and the options for my glasses thoroughly explained. I'll be back next year.

Boots Opticians, East Kilbride
Boots Opticians, Town Centre, East Kilbride is my favourite Opticians who I have used for years. I return every time I need an eye exam. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Unlike some Opticians, the staff do not seem under pressure to sell glasses but are more interested in getting the correct product for your very very important eyesight. A gentleman called Zain carried out my exam who was excellent.

Dreadful experience, go to an independent.
Dreadful experience. Optician was completely unprofessional and showed no compassion when he told me I’d got cataracts. He even replied ‘how long is a piece of string’ when I asked a question about the condition.
Left feeling very let down and with no idea of what the future holds for me.
Rebooked with a small independent opticians and they couldn’t have been more helpful in explaining the condition and way forward.
Received an email from Boots to rate my experience and was honest that it was dreadful. Received a follow up phone call from HQ but no recompense or offer of compensation/refund. Disgusting service.

Helen Barbour the Optometrist was excellent and explained all in great detail.
Maria who measured and sorted out my chosen 3prs of spectacles was very capable and worked out everything to suit my budget which I appreciated and couldn’t have done any more if I had asked her to. A triumph all round.

What a pleasant experience
I have just had an eye test and chosen new glasses for my new prescription. All the staff were so knowledgeable and friendly ....Tassia who welcomed me, took details and did the preliminary tests, Emma who did my eye test and explained the results clearly and Rumana who helped me choose my new glasses. ...never gone for the first pair suggested before! The price was reasonable and all in all it was a great experience...would highly recommend ..thank you :-)

Eye test after laser treatment
After having laser treatment, I recently had my follow-up eye test at Penzance Branch. This was done with great care and kindness by Katharina. The routine pre-tests were very efficiently done by Sarah. Tracey then took over with my choice of frames and gave me so much of her time, with much patience throughout the whole process of choosing and finally taking measurements.
I could not have wished for more thoughtful and kind attention. Thank you all.

Disapointing consultation
I have had my eyes tested for an over 60 free eye test on the NHS at my local boots Mill Hill Broadway branch for a a few years now.The tests are professionallly and competently done.
However at the end of the tests I assume that everything is OK as I am not advised of this as such or any problems with the health of my eyes which is the purpose of these tests!. I am also not givenat the end of the consultation before I leave the premisse , as the law dictates, my eye test prescription for lenses. I had In the past to ask for that. This time, as I stated that I was going to get my glasses from Boots, I sensed that the atmosphere in the consultation room changed and that made me feel uncomfortable. Again I was not offered a prescription with the results of my tests on the pretext that if I go elesewhere to have my glasses made, that the optician who was going to make the lenses, no mention of online services for lenses, would have to repeat the tests which to my mind as a doctor and a surgeon is nonsense. All I would have to provide to an online service for lenses, if I wished to have my glasses made by them, would be my eyes PD .
Needless to say I did not ask for my prescription and left.
I shall consider using another company for my free eye tesy next year.

Awful experience with repeatedly non existent customer service at Kensington optician; wrote a review here and they responded giving me an email to write to. That was a week ago - no response. I held off moving optician as have been with them 10+ years but now left with no choice. Wrong prescription and an inability to fix it.
