The Stockport store never seem to answer the phone. It’s allowed just to ring out until such times as you disconnect the call. I have been a customer of Boots Opticians for over 20 years & customer service since the take over in 2024/5.
When mentioned to in store staff very little response.

Everybody was wonderful to speak to and I spent a bit of time trying to understand the best pair of glasses and lens to choose, of which there was a great selection of and was helped by a number of people to select the ideal match.

I have always for some reason had a young woman optometrist for my eye tests, I assumed she was Arabic from her name and appearance. And on each occasion I thought their performance was flawless. My only criticism was of the machines, which inevitably seem to cause neck strain. I don't know whether that could be reduced by changing the design of the machine.

Good morning, I wanted to congratulate all the staff at Boots (Ealing Broadway), especially Manager Shivinder and my colleague Fasil, as my experience... I went for an eye exam and they did a thorough examination with cutting-edge equipment. Shortly afterward, they discovered an abnormality in the retina in my left eye. The doctor immediately informed me of the problem and wrote me a letter to the emergency room at Western Eye Hospital:
Hospital in London, England, for immediate intervention. After that, I went to the hospital, and after immediate tests, they operated on me the next day. The welcome, assistance, and professionalism are truly grateful for this treatment. As an Italian citizen in London, I am writing this review to express my deep gratitude to both the staff at Boots (Ealing Broadway) and all the staff at Western Eye Hospital:

Boots in Derbion used to be fantastic service.
Since they downsized and moved the Dept. The service is terrible.
I must have trued 30 times to get through on the phone. It just rings out on the main optician and also the appt booking line.
This is over several days.
I'm not spending any more of my time trying to get their attention for what was a loyal customer over many years.
Very dissatisfied.

Attended Boots eye appointment in Stirling, Thistle 18th May 2026 with Miss C. Arthur. This was my second appointment with this lady and recalled how thorough she had been the first time, and the second time was equally excellent. I was put at complete ease she explained everything very clearly, leaving me totally confident in her ability with my eye test. I cannot recommend this young lady highly enough and have booked my next appointment with her.

I am highly disappointed with my recent experience at Boots Opticians on Chiswick High Street. I booked an eye test following a cold call, under the clear impression that the appointment was free. Instead, I was hit with a surprise £29.50 fee after the test was completed. This critical financial information should have been disclosed upfront during the phone call and at the reception desk.The service only deteriorated from there. After completing the tests, the staff immediately pressured me to purchase prescription glasses. When I stated I was not ready to buy, they completely shut down. They didn't bother to complete the explaination of my test results, despite the fact that I had just paid a premium price for them. Paying nearly £30 for cramped facilities and old equipment is a rip-off. Avoid this place and avoid future calls from Boots!

The whole Boots experience was excellent from start to finish. Tan was brilliant, very friendly, caring and professional, and she took time to explain everything and do a thorough eye check.
Braided was welcoming, helpful and reassuring, and to say he has only been there a short time he is a credit to the company.
Anis and Mariyam, helped to sort out the purchase of glasses, and took time to make sure everything was just right before we left the store.
Thanks you again, the Boots staff are definitely THE BEST

I took my sunglasses to the Boots Opticians in the Leeds Trinity Centre, as the frame needed adjusting. I was served immediately, and had to wait all of 5 minutes as the optician made the necessary adjustments. She checked I was happy with her work, and refused payment. I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service I received, and my sunglasses are now much more comfortable to wear.

I have mobility problems, but was treated with respect and kindness. The two people who helped me were Laraib and Helen at Boots Meadowhall. Both are a great credit to their company.
