As always the team in Boots Opticians Durham were amazing. Extremely polite, friendly, professional staff who share such a vast understanding and wealth of knowledge. They picked up my glaucoma during a routine eye test around 10 years ago and supported me through the referral system. I attend here yearly (along with my hospital appointments) and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.
Communication and waiting times were poor. When I finally saw the optician the service was very good.
The staff in this branch are excellent. Very professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them in ensuring you have the very best eye care.

I had a great experience from start to finish at Wimbledon. The ladies who did my eye test were wonderful, and the optometrist was very professional. The lady who helped me choose my new glasses was so kind and really knew her stuff. She made it very easy to find the right pair. I felt very well looked after by everyone.
Poor experience sadly, I got glasses at the end of February from the Sheffield Fargate and they are so tight it’s causing bleeding to the sides of my face, and despite re-attending the store for further adjustments (4 times!) they just keep suggesting coming back rather than any long term solution, with the pain not going away. Boots Opticians also seem to have no central customer support as they’ve been a nightmare to try to contact previously on a separate issue regarding Advantagecard at Opticians. Overall a disappointing experience and hopefully I won’t have to use them again. I’ve written to the email addresses provided in other responses from Boots Opticians but I’ve sadly not got much hope anymore.

My initial appointment for 1st contact lense assessment went well but subsequent 2 appointments were poor from there. The opticians don't seem able to use their IT system or understand it and on 2 subsequent appointments for fitting I was asked why I was there .Communication between the staff appears lacking and information provided at my 1st appointment was'nt documented properly. My concerns about someone else fitting them were not listened to calmly even though I understood why that was necessary.I wished to try myself and was told to wait while a manager was involved who I felt had slightly aggressive manner towards me when she did approach . My spectacle prescription required and supplied at my first appointment was not detailed on their system and I was told the fitting could'nt go ahead . There was no attempt to discuss with me how to resolve the situation or mention of a further appointment so I left and won't return .

Staff were attentive, quickly arranged the relevant sight tests. The Optician was very polite, clear and concise about what he was testing and rounded off with a good overall summary of the things he had found going through including highlighting no changes and improvements. We were out well within time and felt that we had had very thorough eye examinations. Thank you.

3 times more expensive than vision express and don’t feel that we was given the cheapest option and felt rushed into the decision we will be going back to vision express next year

I have been having a dry eye issue, I had a thorough eye test and examination done by John and now have a referral to a specialist dry eye clinic locally. John took all the time needed to listen and try to assist with the issue, I didn't feel rushed or unwelcome and he explored all avenues before making the referral. Thank you so much.

Rang the Whitley Bay branch and spoke to the manager explaining that I had experienced a failed contact lenses trial with another company with no support and wondered if he could help. He spoke to the Optician and a trial set of lenses were ordered for me. I attended for my fitting on Friday and they were perfect. Sophia taught me to take them in and out, showing me an easier way than i’d been shown before and it works every time. All the staff were lovely keeping my daughter occupied while I concentrated with Sophia, thankfully the shop was quiet at the time. Won’t be going anywhere else in future for my future eye care. My family will be coming too. Thank you

I had a fantastic experience at Barkingside Boots Opticians, largely thanks to Noufal Nosshad. He was incredibly helpful from start to finish. Noufal took the time to understand what I was looking for and helped me select a frame that suited my face shape and style perfectly.
What really stood out was his clear explanation of the technical aspects of different lenses and brands. He broke down the options in a way that was easy to understand,covering lens materials, coatings, thickness, and the pros and cons of various brands,without any pressure to upsell. Thanks to his guidance, I felt confident in my choice.
If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about getting it right for you, ask for Noufal. Highly recommended.

Visited the Wetherby branch. Was greeted by Kaya who took me through the pre eye test checks, including OCT scan. Had my vision review with Katherine deciding I needed reading glasses. Chose frames on the buy one, 2nd pair half price. Ordered on Friday, had a call on Monday to say the were ready for collection. Again saw Kaya who checked I was happy with the glasses. Had a minor adjustment on the frames which was done promptly. All in all a very good experience. All staff friendly and efficient. Boots own frames are very good value by the way.
