I had arranged a video call on Friday…
I had arranged a video call on Friday 12th July, in loo of removal services needed for 18th July and informed them that obviously, I needed quotes as soon as possible.. Spent 30+ minutes doing a video survey of my house, showing people my private place of dwelling and all my contents - only to receive 0 call backs and quotations after being assured I would have these by the end of the day or Monday at the latest by the surveyor. I followed up twice on Tuesday, assured they would chase and get quotes.. nothing, called again Wednesday and told they just contact companies and pass the information on from the survey, and as such they are not able to ensure quotes are provided by the removal companies. I don't see the point really, I have to rent a luton and do it myself now.. so.. waste of time and a pointless company with poor customer service.

First and foremost, please accept my sincere apologies for what was undoubtedly a protracted process through no fault of your own.
It goes without saying that we expect our removal partners to provide quotations in a timely manner following a video survey and I was sorry to learn that you had to chase this up.
I have formally reviewed the follow up call you made with my colleague on the 27th February and whilst an apology was offered, I can fully appreciate the urgency of this matter was not communicated effectively on our side. While it is of little consolation, please rest assured that my colleague did send an urgent notification to the available movers following your call, who confirmed receipt and advised they would contact you on that day.
Despite this, there has clearly been a failure in what should otherwise be a straightforward and simple, customer first process and I am truly sorry for the obvious disappointment caused as a result.
I sincerely hope your move went smoothly and you are settling in to your new property.

Good choice
Buzzmove suggested 3 removers for us. All 3 responded quickly, though with different levels of investigation and detail from quick phone estimate to a visit to give us a detailed price. We picked the latter which turned out to be an excellent choice. So well done Buzmove.

They were superbly friendly and helpful to talk to on the phone. My only reason for rating three stars is due to the brutality of the cancellation fee, the incurrence of which was my fault tbh as I cancelled on the day, for which they charge £60. It's just an admin fee as they definitely wouldn't have even set out to come to my house. Readers of this may find me stupid for having forgotten to cancel earlier on which is understandable; I certainly felt like a panicked fool when I woke up one morning to see the reminder text that they're coming later. The thing is, with the nature of moving, it's not always an easy thing that is happening for positive reasons. I'm not going to share my extra long story but I've had a very hectic, stressful and negative few weeks and losing £60 that I couldn't afford to lose because something fell into the background of my memory was a real punch to the gut.
To conclude, I do recommend this service! Just don't forget that you had it booked no matter how many things happen to you, otherwise another painful thing will happen to you! Stay strong and happy y'all

While it is of little consolation, a cancellation fee is employed by a mover to cover the staff and vehicle resources that have been arranged prior to your booking, as there is no guarantee a new move can be booked at short notice. This allows the mover to ensure no further costs are incurred to their business.
That being said we fully appreciate any fee is undesirable and understand that moving can be a stressful experience.
