Almost Excellent...Almost!! Check for number of keys!!

I purchased through The Carshop Norwich and almost got a great deal. The sales team from John/Mark, Grant and especially Alex (the Business Consultant) were fantastic...but were let down by one point in their process and considerably by the collections team.
I would never suggest that there was any dubious intent on the part of the sales team, but part of the sales talk was that they only guarantee that one key will be present, but I was told that in all the time the sales consultant had been there there had always been 2 keys except for on one occasion. I should have followed up on this to get him to check (my bad) as lo and behold when it came to collection time only one key was there (and no books). For the reader, this means that the excellent deal I got wasn't so great, as these days, due to enhanced immobilisers, it would be foolhardy not to have 2 keys, the cost for one due to chipping etc is from £150 to several hundreds, depending on the make, to replace. I had already signed on the dotted line by this point. I am privately looking in to this as the vehicle I purchased was ex motability and I am aware that all books and both keys should have been returned by the first owner under the motability contract.
I am not suggesting this of the carshop, but I am aware of a local car supermarket to me who was found to keep and sell on the books (there is a value to them), and 'lose' a key, if able, if the purchaser had negotiated a good deal (knowing that their deal would be nulled due to the high cost of getting a second key cut and the lost key programmed out).
In fact, just about anything not tied down to the car had been removed (either by the first owner, or afterwards)... No spare wheel nuts in the locking wheel nut box, none of the manufacturers tools etc, and one thing I can prove was down to the collections team was the fact the car aerial had been removed during the 'valet' and not replaced (I still had a photo of both cars ((yes, we bought 2)) from prior to purchase, on my phone, which showed them clearly present). The aerials are being posted to us, having been found!!
The 'valet' could have been done better by my 9 year old daughter, I am not being picky...there was still rubbish in the driver's door bin.
All of the above still does not detract from the fact I actually got a 'relatively' good deal on a great car and received a good part ex amount on my old car. Alex was great, but it is a shame he was let down by others down the chain.
I would say, do buy from The Carshop, but do make sure you check up on the small detail as there could be extra costs which mean you are paying more than you think to get a car to a liveable standard.
I will probably use them again myself, but won't be taking anyone's word for what I know should be there.

Had a fantastic experience today with Nathan at the Doncaster Car Shop. He couldn't be more helpful with any questions that we had and allowed us plenty of time to view the car at leisure. Through the test drive he continued to be friendly and chatty throughout! Top service!

fantastic service, not pushy. Great helpful staff.

Went into the car shop when my car had broken down, sorted me out and got me something I loved in a couple minutes. Giving me plenty of time to look round and asses all options. Never pushed into anything and given lots of time as I'm only young that helped. Has a great sales man named John, who was so helpful and helped me look at every option and got me a good deal, if looking in the Norwich branch ask for John. Also Alex in the main office was great help. 100% recommend the car shop.
