AVOID scam
AVOID scam. Day 5 Test to release is 2 days late. Now day 7 and stuck in quarantine.
It is outragious to be paying for a service that is a legal requirement and for the service not to be followed through. I will be taking legal and press action on this company. I suggest others with the same experience do so too!
I don't expect to be robbed by a government recommended provider when visiting my family in UK. In Austria where I live the pcr service is free and I can receive the test on the same day, handed in via the supermarket.
It doesn't have to be this way, the governments strategy is immoral and flawed. These random companies are not fit for the job!
The free nhs service I used last year got me my result the next day. Why are we not allowed to use this basic service for a mandatory health requirement anymore?
It took them two days (from receipt of…
It took them two days (from receipt of sample) to deliver the result … and longer for my wife … how long remains to be seen ….both samples posted and received by lab at the . This is not good enough when when are waiting for a negative result to be “released” from isolation.
Would not recommend
6 days later and I'm still waiting for the results for my day 2 pcr test
It's 23 late hours and still waiting…
It's 23 late hours and still waiting since we send the test on 20 December midday. Looks like they miss one of the test of two.
GREAT SERVICE
After reading reviews was very apprehensive...BUT great, quick, efficient service WELL within 48hrs
and kept informed.
A one star is generous
A one star is generous, had to book a last minute expensive fit to fly test the day before departure as they claimed out tests hadn’t arrived with them even though Royal Mail tracking stated otherwise, we are currently sat in the departure lounge and they are still stating that one of our tests haven’t reached them however the other one is in progress even though they got posted at the same time, if we didn’t book a last minute test elsewhere we wouldn’t be able to fly. Absolute SCAM!
Did not receive test results or update…
Did not receive test results or update at all regarding corona test arrival at the test center as I normally would receive for other testing providers.
I opened a ticket asking for test status or result, but I did not hear back from them.
Absolutely horrendous
Horrific experience so please don't waste your money. I would give a zero if I could. Day 6 and we're still waiting for test results. If you read the terms and conditions (which I only did after purchasing and sending my Day 2 PCR), they say they will try to deliver results within 12-48 hours but they "don't promise this as time is not of the essence" as though isolating at home while waiting for incompetent individuals to do what you paid them to do is something we all want to do.
Avoid if possible
As per other customers I've experienced large delays in receiving my results. Next day delivery of the test actually took a few days and they have yet to receive my test. Honestly would have been better off just isolating for the 10 days.
Day 2 Test-avoid like plague
Day 2 Test
This is the 3rd time I bought their tests.
As before, there was no need for quarantine upon return from overseas, for day 2 test, I did not mind waiting 5-6 days for results.
Now, it’s day 4 and the sample hasn’t been processed by their lab.
They lie about Royal Mail delivery, they say it takes 3 days to receive the swab back, not true as RM have 7 days collection for these kits.
They cannot cope with the demand but they charge money for the tests, so they fail basic standards, they fail the customers.
Oncologica and Coronafocus should not be allowed to scam people in this manner.
You might as well do the full 10 days quarantine with Oncologica and still no result.
Complicated Registration process and Delayed Result
When traveling out of the UK, I used DAM Health in Liverpool for my Test and I got the result same day. Reason why I chose DAM Health again, but after purchasing the Day 2 Test online while abroad on Dam Health website, I received an email Coronafocus confirming my registration.
The kit arrived at about 2:30 pm on my Day 2 and I got it registered as instructed and I returned the swab through the post. This is day 3 and I I still tied up at home.
The instruction also said I can bring the swab in person across cities to their office, if I so wish; and I wondered whether I was not supposed to self-isolate until the result of my test came by email?
I am still waiting for my result. Today is day 4.
Please avoid this complication called Coronafocus!
Its been 2 days since I posted down my…
Its been 2 days since I posted down my tests and I have still not received any feedback. I have used another company in the past and it took 12 hours to get the results. It is extremely disappointing that a government approved supplier performs at such a low level. The costs incurred due to not getting the results in time doesn't make it any easier. These type of companies should not be allowed to operate, its a total scam !
Trust the feedback on this one!
Unfortunately, I had limited net access when I bought this, so I wasn't aware of this feedback- my experience was pretty much the same as many here. The company dealt with the test within 24 hours after acknowledging receipt, but did not acknowledge receipt until over 4 days after despatch. The postage option provided with the test is inadequate. The strength of feedback on this issue shows that I am not alone in considering this. Also, when checking status, the website shows the 'waiting' graphic on the next step- I was left wondering whether the status shown was correct, or whether the website had frozen, so I didn't have any confidence in the status shown. In trying to contact the company I got no response at all, there are no contact details, just an online feedback form which activates a generic instant and useless response.
It is a busy time for postage, and I would not have rated this company so low on that issue alone; but together with the uncertainty caused by the poor comms and website ambiguity means that I certainly won't use this option again, and can't recommend it in any way.
The most awful testing company
The most awful testing company. They are thieves, take peoples money and samples, no results and can’t contact them. My uncle had to spend nearly 2 grand to get another ticket and pay for another PCR text.
Avoid Terrible product - not fit for purpose.
If you use this company you probably will not get to travel. The tests packages offered are very confusing. I would not have got home if I had did not have an alternative. I used e-diagnostics 'Corona Test Centre' and it was simple step by step online very easy. We have some more test at home from this company and they are going strait in the bin. Very stressful hour trying to the test result registered I should sue for PTSD!
Shocking
Shocking. No PCR day 2 result 4 days later after a claim of 24hr turnaround. Still not booked in the lab even though they have the test. Emailed and fobbed off with terms and conditions so they can still post their ‘fast, reliable service’ claims online.
Don’t bother.
Do NOT use this company !!
If I could give them zero I would. Day 2 PCR took over a week to get back. Friends we were on holiday with got theirs back in 24 hours from a different company. Avoid using Coronofocus or Oncologica.
AVOID
I don't know what's going wrong at coronafocus.app, but they're completely incapable of dealing with the realities of the service they're offering.
It's taken over 3 days for our samples to even reach them (admittedly, this is a Royal Mail issue), but now our samples are sat 'in progress' for 2 days with no sign of actually getting any results.
They advertise their service as being 'within 24 hours' from samples being booked into the lab, but clicking into their T&C makes it clear they're under no obligation to do so, or even make any attempt at meeting this deadline. I'm sure they're overwhelmed - but they're selling more tests than they can process - thereby causing their own issues.
Their customer services are unresponsive, handing out generic emails and telephone scripts (if you can even get through to them) - I've had more luck with a Yodel Chatbot...
I would absolutely not recommend anyone uses this company or buys their services. They've been appalling from start to finish.
Government sanctioned scam?
Five attempts to use day two testing. Best case scenario was 5 days. 2 of the tests never came back at all. Feels like a government sanctioned scam.
Absolutely horrendous
Absolutely horrendous. Oncologica shouldn't be anywhere on the government site of approved providers.
We purchased through Corona Focus, where the website claims that the test results would be issued within 24h of receipt. Been looking regularly on their coronafocus.app and saw that they received it almost 3 days ago.
3 days after the "within 24h" time frame of Day 2 PCR test, and still nothing. No way to speak to them on the phone, the so called 24/7 chat is never available, and the only correspondance we received from them after multiple emails has been unhelpful and generic. Reported them to the NHS test and trace and will now be reporting them to the government. You can do the same by emailing:
privateprovidersselfdecqueries (at) dhsc.gov.uk
We might have to request a refund, which I'm sure will be rejected looking at reviews here, and then be forced to go down the small claims court route, which I would really prefer to avoid but may have to if I have to book another test.
