The Mortgage Program for Costco Members

I actually didn't start through the Costco Mortgage Program, but I was very happy with one of the lenders that I contacted directly that told me they participated with Costco. I worked with a very responsive Strong Home Mortgage representative who guided me through the process and worked very hard to close the refinance quickly.

I like the Mortgage program from Costco and recommend it. Got calls from many lenders. I chose a lender who offered much better rates than my own bank (nationally very prominent) . I hate when the sellers try not o outsmart me, they think they are smart.

Good experience

The sales n admin staff were very helpful. However their underwriting process was horrid, inconsistent with with other lenders and almost TWO months to complete.

I was better than expected, Adam was very responsive and helpful when we had difficulty finding certain documents. My only concern was that the Title company did not confirm the address to send the check for a credit card payoff. Luckily I was able to retrieve it. I also recommend asking for current photo ID at the beginning of the process allowing for time to obtain one if necessary. In CA it takes up to 6 weeks to receive it in the mail.

Very user friendly system. Very promptly to get you pre-approved. Then you basically on your own and little to none communication or assistance during the process. Being named Costco Mortgage Program I was expecting maybe some kind of advice or coaching from Costco during the process. I know there was some "savings" on the originating fees but feel that in general after some research there was other associated fees that maybe with other lender would be less.

My experience with refinancing thru Mutual of Omaha by my Costco membership was a good one. There were few lenders to choose from before I decided to go with MoO. All in all, it was an easy process.

It was an easy and problem free experience working with Laura from Strong Home Mortgage. Laura was responsive, answered all of my questions, and did not pressure me into anything. She made the process very easy and secure. The Strong Home portal was easy to use for uploading documents. I would highly recommend Laura and Strong Home through Costco Business Services.
