The Mortgage Program for Costco Members 

This was our second time using Costco mortgage. Great service, quick response and you can’t beat the price!

The mortgage program for Costco Members was fantastic. The process was quick and easy. No surprises or hidden fees! Highly recommend!

Excellent program. Great rate. Lowest closing costs. I had three other brokers and a bank reviewing the same deal. This was the best overall deal - low (not lowest) rate, lowest cash to close, fast response times, three weeks to close! Amazing. Outstanding

Never spoke to lender by phone. Completed paperwork quickly. Escrow person very helpful. Didn’t seem to be cheaper than other lenders.

Super easy to use and saved us thousands!

The company was very slow and kept requesting the same documents over and over. From the beginning the refinance had a stipulation to pay off my truck. This never was changed to my knowledge and I thought the truck was paid off with the loan closing. Apparently this was changed without any communication to me. I just lucked out by calling the company and found that this was not paid but the payment was given to me as cash back. That is not what was supposed to happen. The cash back was for home improvements and had already been spent before I found the truck was not paid. The closing costs were about 3000 more than initial evaluation. There were extra charges to the appraisal for a redo that never occurred. I really feel I was taken advantage of and there was no recourse after I learned the truth. Definitely no truth in lending with this company. Not willing to work with the customer just kept going in the wrong direction. I would have changed loan companies if I had know how this was going to end. Should have changed but so much had been done. I feel I was lied to until the closing was completed and will never use this company again. Feel free to contact me for any clarification. I am still angry.

Darren Critchfield, my loan officer from Strong Home Mortgage was exceptional every step of the way. During my loan process I had multiple roadblocks which were handled seamlessly by my loan officer and I can't thank him enough. We were able to close in less than 4 days after my final approval, all thanks to Darren, he made it happen. I have already recommended him to family and friends and will continue to do so. I am glad I found Darren through Costco Mortgage and a referral. BEST LOAN OFFICER hands down!

Costco Mortgage Program is awesome. I tried to get a refinance from the mortgage company I had and the fees and expectations regarding documentation and debt to income ratio were unachievable. However, with Costco Mortgage Program I had several lenders to choose from and had them compete for my business. They came through and was able to get a reasonable interest rate. Highly recommended.

Have used this program twice now, once for a refi and once for a new purchase. Extremely happy with the discounted rates and fees. Will never go anywhere else for my mortgage needs.

Having Costco in our corner gave a boost to our lender's attention to customer service. And they did a 5-star job. The Costco Mortgage Program system adds a layer of accountability that has great effect, and since the price and rate was most competitive, it worked very nicely for us.

Fabulous program! I wish I knew about it sooner and would've refinanced earlier. So easy and smooth and very very affordable! In a sea of what feels like it is full of predatory lenders trying to pull one over on unsuspecting people, this is a welcome relief. I felt very safe doing everything online and that my concerns were listened to and addressed promptly. Unbelievable how much the other lenders get away with charging!! We saved close to $10k!!

Only 4 stars because of 3 minor reasons:
1) Had to do appraisal since lender didn't input numbers right.
2) Addressing everything ONLY to my husband even though I am the one who handles everything! Feels very sexist!
3) Glitch at the end getting our cash out wire transfer from the title company and I don't think it was handled correctly. They ONLY sent an email without a follow up phone call and the email went to my spam box! Argh! Got handled, but was almost a week late and caused unnecessary stress.

Was pleasantly surprised by just how much being a Costco member saved me on my mortgage costs! Such an easy process!
