Best rate but pulling teeth to get it
It was the best rate I could find, not by much but it was the best. But man was the process difficult, I'd strongly consider if the savings was worth the effort. But all in all we closed on time.

from Stronghold Mortgage that I have ever had from any business. The service
was fast and my loan officer was so professional and helpful and available to
be at all times even after hours. I did not know Costco had this program and

We had a wonderful experience using Costco's Mortgage Program. The rates listed were the lowest we could find, our chosen mortgage lender (Robb Walter with NBKC) was knowledgeable, friendly, and always available, and our entire home buying process was as smooth as it could be!

Focus on Customer Service
With all the key closing cost drivers fixed, it is nice knowing you are getting a great price and can compare the different options based on customer service and the interest rate they offer. I saved over 4K by using this program vs a wholesale lending company. I ended up choosing Mutual of Omaha, and they did an excellent job. One comment to improve the website is some of the closing cost differences shown are only estimates and are specific to the property and would not change based on the lender chosen (ie title insurance, appraisal cost, etc.)

We used Costco for a mortgage in 2018 and it was an awful experience. The agent was licensed in our state but housed somewhere in the mid west. We will never use Costco for mortgages again
