its good to use but need more understanding

Terrible service. there is no way to contact anyone, no trek of tickets. not even normal diagnostic for your issues.

cPanel and Plesk are both owned by the same greedy company, Oakley Capital, who don't care whether or not their customers go broke trying to keep up with their licenses.

They do make good software that doesn't really compare to competitors in terms of user-friendliness and ease of use, and they know that most are just going to eat the cost to avoid having to go through a huge migration.

Why does Oakley Capital/cPanel/Plesk just grandfather people's license cost? Philo did this to me when they raised the monthly price to $20, I was grandfathered into $16. Philo's developers didn't quit and it continues to thrive.

Today, I receive a notice that cPanel will increase again its price in 2022. Oakley Capital is a very greedy company and yearly implementing huge price increase but without any significant improvement in the platform.
I hope this company will be investigated by the Government for its monopolistic acquisitions and very aggressive price increases in all its platforms.

Just money minded.

Another company that was originally fantastic and innovative and then got snapped up by investors and ultimately de-flowered by selling out to the highest bidder - in this case an investment company called Oakley Capital. They purchased cPanel and then hiked the prices so that all the users got massively smacked with increased rental fee. The price literally went from $15 month to over $700 month for some. Unbelievable greed and it's the beginning of the end for this once amazing start up.

Greedy company not to be trusted with lack of new features and bugs.

cpanel is a great software developed with care and sold to a greedy company targeting to monopolize the hosting industry in order to force you buy their products in very high prices. They cannot be trusted. One year before they raised their prices 20x to maybe 100x more, sending a newsletter some weeks before their new pricing scheme active date, not leaving time for the industry to switch software. Two months before thay raised their pricing even more. If the related US district attorney office was actually working, they would have been audited for possible criminal charges based on monopoly legislation.

This may be the most widely used server software, but their pricing is extortionate. My server manager has advised me to use Interworx instead. CPanel will lose a lot of customers over their greed.

Worst Service Ever! The Software price is hell by increasing again 8% pricing they think only they are genius lol. and the price which is more costly than server cost, I know the software is very good, but you are not that type of the level that you can set stupid pricing. that why 10000+ people are using crack Cpanel license. even everyone is looking for new penal where cyberpenal is enough good in pricing and service!

Now if you think plesk has good pricing then don't use plesk too because cPanel is owner of plesk too.

cPanel has been acquired by a group of investors led by Oakley Capital. The group also owns Plesk and SolusVM. Oakley Capital acquired Plesk in May 2017, while Plesk, in turn, acquired SolusVM, which supplies software for VPS management, among other things.

This owner of cpanel they should be ashamed at themselves they the sneakiest and corrupt and most DESPICABLE people they got a raise were they put 34 hosts out of business because of there raise now they are raising there price again 60 DAYS LATER YOU WANT TO GIVE THIS GUY YOUR MONEY I NOT THEY ALSO CHARGE FOR SUPPORT DONT YOU think if you have a service that you are paying for SUPPORT WOULD BE FREE OMG WHAT type of people are on the internet crooks and more crooks. When you join it all goes to cpanel the resellers are being taken advantage of and being forced to upgrade the government sucks these are the online crooks that should be put in jail. They don't care for other people or peoples business all they care about is money and they were making the money of ten men they don't cater to small business they got like google greedy the bible states and this is in the old testament all that is happening with corona virus and the people taking advantage of it that Jesus is here to get the greedy self centered people and business off the planet. It is a shame that regular people in the world dont see what this scum is doing they are the only people cpanel that has a reseller so normal people can start a business online. All these online business and socal networks dont have any personality. The are like a nail cannot talk and joke they are rude discussting (Pigs)

These scammers are making monopoly marketing! They increase the price again effective from 2021. These money suckers have no liability to the industry! People are thinking they will buy Plesk but beaware, they also bought them out. Within few years these scammers will increase the plesk price too!
They owned cPanel, Plesk, WHMCS, JetBackups (and my guess a portion of CloudLinux and LiteSpeed too).

Will move out from cPanel soon! Stay away from these money suckers!

Support used to be the best in the industry.

Over the last 7 months it's turned in the opposite direction. Virus pandemic has support backed up over 20 hours to respond.

I am giving them 2 stars for even responding to my support ticket! Feel bad for the techs especially the ones who got furloughed. Apparently cPanel has a serious staffing issue.

New ticket support system where their is no way to determine how long of wait for a tech to respond.

If you were in an emergency situation it would be impossible to get on-demand support.

I love cPanel and always will...
Still the best panel on the market.
Frequent updates and rare to have issues.

Expect new normal will be higher prices and no support going forward.

Blessed to have knowledge to fix anything.

Once was an awesome hosting control panel, now after being acquired by Oakley Capital they have raised their pricing over 700%

stay away from Oakley Capital companies

Great Service for many years, but sadly Oakley Capital bought them and increased all prices. DirectAdmin seems to be the Alternative.

cPanel is definitely overpriced, but we still love it and think it's ultimately worth the money. The worst parts about it is that it uses apache and centos rather than my much preferred centos and nginx
