Destroyed Boxes During Delivery

I live on an island so often have to rely on Costco Home Delivery for food products, such as nuts, protein powder, crackers, and supplements. EVERY SINGLE TIME - WITHOUT EXCEPTION - the boxes containing the food have been ripped open, punctured, the bottom is falling out, and often product has been damaged - almost like someone took a knife to a bag of almond flour, for instance.

Costco store is fabulous. They have hard-working employees and offer great prices. But their online delivery service is HORRIBLE - they need to invest in some much more sturdy boxes and/or don’t overload the boxes. Amazon boxes NEVER fail, break or split open, or get puncture holes, no matter how heavy the load. So I know this can be done.

Do better, Costco - seriously!

Ordered jeans, Disappointment from start to end. The Jeans are nice, kif you can find them!

Ordered jeans. asked for speedyn delivery, 1-2 Business days. Paid $7.99. Took 5 days to deliver. Had to return. Went to Spokane Valley Warehouse. WOman zoning Mens clothes was asked where then Kirkland Signature jeans were, We don't have any. came the short unpleasant response. With the exception of the Returns Counter Lady, the restnof the experience was pure Costco. Not going back!

Customer service has gone downhill in Canada

I would give Costco zero stars if I could. Customer service - which was the biggest benefit of being a Costco member - has gone downhill lately at Costco. We bought a Samsung dishwasher from them which turned up to be a terrible product. Had to fight with both Samsung and Costco over returning it for a couple of years with both asking us to keep it and go through all the pointless customer support calls and walkthroughs. Eventually the warranty expired and they both said "oops too late to return it now".

Interestingly enough, the last time I called customer support to complain about all this I was for some reason forwarded to their US support reps who were eager to allow us to return the product...only to find out that we're in Canada to which they responded "sorry, there are different rules for clients in Canada".

Costco membership cancelled on the spot. Thanks for giving us one more reason to stop supporting American companies. We're not 2nd class citizens because we're Canadian.

Costco.. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

Received a 4.5 lb container of Grated Parmesan Cheese with only 21 days remaining on use thru date. When I complained through their chat option I was told product is shipped from the manufacturer and there is nothing they can do.
Well, here's a news flash Costco I bought it from YOU! It's your job to make it right. What the hell happened to customer service in business today????

Very disappointing experience with Costco’s online service.

I placed an order for a laptop and was initially given a delivery timeframe, which was then delayed multiple times. Communication throughout was poor — I had to chase updates myself, and emails were either delayed or not responded to at all.

After waiting several weeks with no clear resolution, I was left with no option but to cancel the order. Even after cancelling, the refund process has been slow and unclear, adding further frustration to an already poor experience.

I’ve always associated Costco with good customer service, but this experience has been far from it. Delays can happen, but the lack of communication and slow resolution is what made this particularly disappointing.

Would not recommend ordering high-value items online based on this experience.

Zero complaint procedure

Unfortunately If you have a complaint about the customer advisor then Costco's complaint procedure means you have to complain to the person whos the complain is against. The manager sides with their colleague.

You truly know about a company when you have a problem and how they deal with it.

I had a very disappointing experience with Costco customer service.

I contacted them regarding an issue with items received close to their expiry date, but the situation quickly escalated due to the way the advisor handled the call. The advisor (Jaanvi) was dismissive, unhelpful, and at times came across as rude. Instead of assisting, the tone of the conversation made us feel as though we were being treated with suspicion rather than as genuine customers.

There was also confusion around address verification, despite us clearly confirming that both billing and shipping details matched (and being able to evidence this). Rather than offering alternative ways to resolve the issue, the advisor repeatedly dismissed what we were saying.

When we tried to clarify the order number, the advisor refused to engage further without speaking to the account holder, even though no verification had been completed at that stage. This was not clearly explained and added unnecessary frustration.

More concerning was the refusal to log a formal complaint. We were told that the complaint would not be raised, and when we asked to escalate to a manager, this was also denied. I also raised a separate issue about expiry dates, which was dismissed as a “different complaint” and not recorded. The call was then terminated.

The biggest issue here is the lack of a proper complaints process. There is no clear email address or independent route to raise concerns, meaning customers are effectively required to complain to the same channel they are complaining about. That is not a transparent or fair system.

Overall, this experience fell well below the standard expected from a company of this size. I hope Costco reviews both the conduct of this interaction and the structure of its complaints procedure moving forward.

Online customer service is nightmare

Shopping at local warehouse is good. But online orders and customer service are terrible.
The delivery service (Kinetic Logistics) is so bad, earliest delivery date is a week later after the item is shipped. Then they cancel the delivery last minute.
And ghosted for 3 days(still waiting), without any contact.
When I reach out to Costco online customer service, they just waste your time asking infos and can't do anything.

Terrible membership signup experience

Terrible membership signup experience! I bought a membership. My husband had to be added to the membership. I have three children whom I chauffeur around. I asked my husband to go add himself to my card as a second member. Not only he had to stay in line for an hour, they refused to add him to my card because I was not present. They couldn’t call me to simply ask if he can be added. They sent him impolitely through the door. My guess their business model is so popular they don’t give a shit about people and their time. Better luck to you!

Love Costco but HATE their pathetic website! Search feature is beyond horrible. I searched for bug repellent fan and it shows baby clothes!! This has been an ongoing issue forever and Costco doesn’t care clearly given how many have complained over the years! The other thing that’s crazy is most items are not free shipping even with an executive membership! What’s up with that?!

Lastly, while it’s by design that they move items around almost daily in the stores, it’s frustrating enough for me to just order on Amazon! I don’t have all day to spend hours searching for items at a store. They want us to wander and buy things we didn’t plan to… so this is how they get you to visit various aisles searching in futile one wanted item

I planned to go to Costco today for a tire rotation specifically. Didn't have an appointment but l normally go in and wait 2 hours plus to have them rotated without an appointment. I noticed recently when l go in Costco there is a tire technician helping with checkout at the registers not the tire department register but the normal store where normal goods are sold? So after a 3 hours waiting l go to the tire department register and l'm told it will be another 2 hours! So you've got technicians working checkout registers but not rotating tires....done with Costco back to Sam's club. There stores are over capacity and they know it. This is the 3rd time this has happened and the time delay is getting longer. Shouldn't need an appointment. l'm not going to the dentist or doctors office. I've seen fights break out in the morning when they open at this particular store because of appointments.

At the liberty Ohio location 4-13-26 and the customer returns line is out the door and down the sidewalk!! Only one employee working on returns while I’m listening to the two employees checking receipts say that everyone is in a meeting and there’s not enough people here today. For what I pay to have a membership here, you’d think they’d staff the place to cover employee meetings

AVOID - awful experience

Bought a Hisense fridge freezer, and unplugged and defrosted the old one for part of their collection service. The new fridge freezer was never delivered - Costco's delivery team wouldn't even asnwer the number I'd been give on the day of delivery. Costco don't care their logistics co _ ProCare seem to have a history of failure. I've been waiting 3 months for compensation and all they do is repeat - we're looking into this. And I never hear again.

I had a very unpleasant experience at Costco today. I went to shop using my mom’s membership card while she was at home. At checkout, the cashier noticed the card was not in my name and became very rude.
Instead of calmly explaining the policy, the staff member took my mom’s card without my permission and called another employee. That person was also aggressive, yelling and making a scene, which made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. One of them even dropped their iPad during the situation and continued speaking loudly.
I understand that membership cards are not meant to be shared, but the way the situation was handled was completely unprofessional. I was treated disrespectfully and spoken to in a harsh tone instead of being given a polite explanation.
Customers should be treated with respect, even when they make a mistake. I hope Costco can improve staff training to ensure situations like this are handled calmly and professionally.

Costco has Dell Laptops on sale for the month of March. I tried ordering when I received the notification for the Laptop and the item was sold out. Why send me the sale email when the product is not available. I called Costco, and watched everyday with no change in availability.

I am a Costco customer for over 20 years and the response from the Costco Support was not acceptable.

I am a Costco customer for the price, product, and most important the customer support.

Now I am forced to buy this Laptop from from Amazon which only provides the price.

I am very disappointed with Costco sending offers to purchase an item when it has already been sold out.

So disappointed

So disappointed. I bought a laptop 14 years ago and was blown away by their great concierge service. It is literally the only reason I purchased another computer from them. I'm on the phone now for a problem that should be really straightforward for a tech person to solve- putting my Gmail on my desktop. She has disappeared! 20 minutes later, she is missing in action. And that was after being on hold for 15 minutes. Wow. I use to rave about costco's great service.

Do NOT buy a computer from Costco

Do NOT buy a computer from Costo. I bought a Dell laptop last year with the Microsoft package. It worked for the first three months, but only if I entered the 54-digit bit lock key every time I logged in. After about three months, I could not get in at all, just re-entering the bit lock key over and over. I called Costco and they said it had to be a software issue and to call Microsoft. Microsoft has no support call number, only a chat and when you state your issue, you get sent a link for Frequently asked questions”. After not having a working laptop for almost a year, I took it to a local computer repair center that is very well known. They told me I had a failing physical drive and they could repair it and it would work perfect for around $270.00, but stated that I should check to see if under warranty. I called Costco again; they could not find my model or serial number (only purchased on laptop from them and had past calls in for same issue). They told me I had to go pick up my computer and then they would trouble shoot with me. I told them it was sitting at a repair shop and it is a paperweight – I can’t even log in. Then Costco said that I would have to ship it to them – none of this was offered to me in the first round of issues. I am not paying the shipping costs for them to try to figure it out. I authorized my local shop to do the repairs. I will never again buy laptop from Costco again and truly hope others do not. They pass you around to many people, and do not offer solutions. I asked if I could get a write-up from the repair store and if Costco could tell me if it was a covered issue and they would not accept that either. Stay away!!!!!!!!

I bought a 32 oz package of Guinness Battered Fish Strips. I had bought frozen fish fillets there before. I was shocked at how small these were (smaller than fish sticks). They tasted good however but I won't be buying them again.

Firstirene

First, prices are marked up by an additional $3 per item, and delivery is handled through Instacart. If an order gets lost, they disclaim responsibility and shift the blame to Instacart.
In my personal experience, my order never arrived; the shopper added extra items to my purchase, and my bank account was charged for the additional amount.
In conclusion, they lack control over how your bank account is accessed, as well as over poor delivery services and scammers.
It is better to go shopping in person.

The third-party delivery service (RXO…

The third-party delivery service (RXO Space Last Mile)was horrendous. We have had two visits. The 1st visit they wouldn’t disconnect the valves and told us to get a plumber. We did that and waited another week for them to come back, remove the old ones, and install the new one. They came today. One of the guys had a horrible attitude from the beginning. They said the vent wasn’t correct and we would need a handyman to fix it. He refused to take the old machines and left the new w/dryer tower on our patio with the box ripped open. If they had just removed the old ones, put the new one in the space, we could have then, later, made sure the vent lined up with the new machine before we have it “fixed”. The guy talked to us like we were stupid, wouldn’t listen, and I got soooo angry I started swearing (not my typical behavior). He said he was recording the whole conversation. He had his phone on and I could hear someone laughing in the background. Without his attitude, this could have been resolved today. Now we have to wait for Costco to open a case and wait for another delivery team. I refuse to have that company back. We will not be buying any appliances from Costó online. Beware of RXO Space Last Mile!!!
