Shop service very good

Shop service very good, but the web-site seems to makes it impossible to search efficiently for certain items because there is no filter option. My example was searching for a specific 25mm cable whereby I had to wade through the list of all cable sizes before finally finding it. This is frustrating enough to make me go elsewhere for online orders.

Happy customer

I ordered a 2+1+1 steel backing box from Denmans. Excellent price at £1.99 but not available at my local stockist so I paid for delivery. There was a delay getting it to my local stockist but once there it was delivered quickly with a smile. Now a happy customer. Thank you

Good if you're planning to return

They're a decent company with good service but their checkout process needs changing for their own sake.

I cannot believe you have to login or sign up in order actually buy something. There is no Guest Checkout available (trust me, I looked hard for it, if there's one it's bloody invisible!) and even the Fast Checkout options requires you to register/login.
Now, this is fine if Denmans is mainly B2B but in that case why are normal muggles like myself freely allowed to have a gander at their online store, checking prices, adding items to the basket and such? All I wanted to do is order a single item since they are nearby and I could collect my order quicker. A guest checkout would be so beneficial and I can guarantee the lack of this has driven potential customers away...

I've originally had an account which was deleted after like 1-2 years of inactivity. I did not feel it necessary to contact them and ask to reopen this just for a single purchase. In the end, I've opened a new account with a fake email address, placed an order, and collected it the next day...

So, in conclusion, Denmans is great, but you need to sign up in order to buy anything. The process doesn't take long and you can unsubscribe anytime. But do you really want the hassle when you can just go to a competitor's website and order the exact same thing?

I hope you can learn and improve from this because if you do, I will absolutely order from you again.

We do try to make it as easy & a smooth a journey as possible for web users.
Obviously we are disappointed that you feel that way.
However, we take the feedback seriously & take on board the points raised.
I & will forward your comments to our Digital team for them to look at & digest.
On the point of buying from Denmans, the general public can purchase from us, & if they do not want to enter any details on the website, ie: setting up a guest account then can ring any of our branches & order over the phone for delivery or collection & this would be done as a "cash sale" & no account necessary.
We are continually looking at the website & ways to improve it to ensure customers find it easy to navigate, order & then checkout & for the customer journey to be an easy one from start to finish ie. from browsing the site, through ordering, to delivery or collection of an order.
We will learn from your comments & hopefully you will try us again & find the journey much easier in the future.
As stated before, if it is the odd one off item or a few bits, you do have the option to ring the local branch & do over the phone, which works very well for a lot of our customers.
