Unreliable customer service and lazy van drivers

Very poor service.The customer service is useless.They will tell you that they will try to contact the driver, end up telling you that they cannot contact the driver.Very useless people.If I can rate it as a 0 star I will if the application allows.The money you pay for delivery is not worth it for the service that they provide.
Unfortunately I cannot control who my supplier use to freight products to me but DHL are by far the most incompetent freight company in New Zealand. ALL the hardwork and effort done by my supplier was put to waste by this irresponsible courier (DHL). Put it this way my parcel came from UK but routed via 2 countries (USA and Australia) to New Zeland in couple of days, due to Covid situation. Good job. However, the parcel has been stuck at the drivers van in Auckland for the whole day.Amazing kind of van drivers here at DHL Auckland such a lazy moron.Then 5 customer service people tried to contact their van drivers and they keep saying because of the COVID situation maybe the driver is late.From 0800 am to 1830 hours still no sign of it. Now, I understand that the van drivers are more busy because of Covid compared to us working in ICU Hospitals.DHL why you hire this kind of people.For goodness sake if you care for your company please hire proper people to work in and worthy of the money we pay.Not this kind of unreliable driver's and customer service people.Just imagine that you cannot contact your van drivers.So, what's the next step if there is emergency situations.🤭🤔

Expectations absolutely exceeded!

I made a purchase from a New Zealand company yesterday morning, I live in Australia. My order arrived this morning, That’s one day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was so surprised, so an extra ⭐️ My order arrived in perfect condition. Well done DHL Express Worldwide Couriers. Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. The driver arrived to pick up my shipment and then just left, without even contacting me. Now he's not coming back today to pick up my documents. I phoned customer service, but they weren't any help at all. I need these documents to be delivered asap.

DHL’s delivery and customer service is frustrating and very poor

DHL’s delivery and customer service is poor and kind of frustrating. Making us waste our time waiting for the parcel to come through and yet it wasn’t. It would be best if next time before you conclude that it wasn’t the right address or if you are unsure of anything, RING THE RECEIVER. That’s why we have our contact numbers there, i suppose thats one of the purpose of it.

It's unfortunate I can't give a lower…

It's unfortunate I can't give a lower rating than 1. Unfortunately we can't always control who our suppliers use to freight products to us but DHL are by far the most incompetent freight company we have every used. Put it this way a recent parcel from Italy was routed via 4 countries to us in three days. Good job. However, the parcel has been stuck at DHL in Auckland now for an further 5 days and still no sign of it. The customs team at DHL are also incompetent, they apply charges that simply aren't applicable. Please check your charges carefully. I really think whoever is running DHL NZ should be looking to retire.

Unreliable

Terrible service. The tracking is completely inaccurate. Have been mucked around with delivery have taken time of work to sign for my parcel and they didn't tell me until I rang them that it wasn't going to be delivered at that time. Wasted my time waiting and now have to find another way to receive it and it's a big package.

Very bad Service delivered my parcel to my neighbor who I never spoke to and Call center people telling me it's been delivered to my workplace. DHL company should take strick actions towards these delivery guys and take their contract back from them as they are not trustworthy.

Yet another average experience with…

Yet another average experience with DHL. I ordered package from the Iconic. My online tracking showed the package had arrived. I couldn’t find the package anywhere at home... The driver was contacted. Long story short he had delivered to the wrong house ! The house he delivered to had the number clearly printed on their letter box. The house he delivered to was 17b my house number is 19a. I was really annoyed ! Just careless with delivery.

DHL NZ is as bad as the other local NZ…

DHL NZ is as bad as the other local NZ courier service (Post H...) Ordered something from Sydney, took 2 days to arrive in Auckland..and now it's been 3 days stuck in Auckland. The status is always either "Processed in Auckland" or "Shipment on Hold" . Mind you it was a DHL 'Express' service..NOT. Are you people hiring the same rejects from that other crap courier service ?

Terrible service - Avoid using DHL

Would give them negative stars if possible. Asked DHL to air freight items from India to NZ which according to DHL should take about 10 days. First Air way bill created 28 September and we are only expecting delivery 7 November 2019 which is more than 1 month for a 10 day delivery.

Delays were due to DHL loosing paper work which was both couriered and emailed to them and then providing incorrect paperwork with the shipment which resulted in them duplicating the documentation which meant we were charged twice the amount of GST and customs.

When you contact their customer service they will mostly try and blame you for their mistakes and provide you with miss-information. I have never dealt with such incompetence and poor service.

Charge 4x cost of postage to change invoice value

The sender made an error on the invoice which resulted in DHL sending us a request for payment of customs fees. When I pointed out that what we paid was well under the customs fees threshold and that the seller had made a mistake, they said I could pay them $95 to change the invoice - almost as much as the customs fees for a 5 minute job, and 4x the cost of postage!! We were also told that storage fees would be charged for them holding on to the parcel while we tried to sort out the issue with the sender. Absolute rubbish and will avoid in future.

Unfair trading practices

We ordered something online from overseas for a religious function on Saturday 15th June 2019. The supplier did everything possible to make this happen and the parcel reached DHL office in Auckland and per their own tracking portal on Thursday 13th June. The tracking on DHL website mentioned that the parcel would be delivered on Friday 14th June. When I rang them on 14th to confirm, we were told the job is given to Courier post and would be delivered on Monday 16th. I told them that we paid lot extra for an urgent delivery through DHL Express and it is absolutely vital that we get delivery before noon on Saturday 15th and offered them to pick it up personally. I was told that they would change the delivery to pickup and I will be notified as soon as the parcel is tracked at Courier post and I can personally pick it up. 48 hours since my call, I haven't heard from them.
NO WONDER DHL RATING IS 0.8 / 10 IN USA AND 1.2 / 10 IN NEW ZEALAND.
How come they are still in the business despite such a poor rating and why cant any authority ban them from the business for playing with customers' trust and ripping them off by charging for services that they know is out of their capacity?

This is breach of fair trading act.

The most embarrassing part is that they told me that the delivery would further get delayed by couple of days if I want the parcel to get delivered when I told them that I wont now bother collecting it as my function is now over and all the efforts and money spent has gone down the drain due to their awful service. Very unprofessional company - will never ever use it again.

HORRIBLE most of the time.

TRASH! Every time something is ordered, and it arrives they never ring the doorbell, they either throw it in, or either leave a note without even trying to contact me, via doorbell. Recently, I ordered something from Australia with DHL express took about only 2 days to arrive here, and it's been more than 3-4 days and I haven't received it, even though it says it has been DELIVERED!!!!!!!! this is so infuriating because this parcel was meant to be a gift. Another triggering thing is they ALWAYS send my parcel to the wrong house, it clearly says 1A, not 1, so I honestly, don't understand.

DHL NZ service is very bad

DHL NZ service is very bad. My package came all the way from the UK in two days but to reach me in Auckland its taking three days. Today morning the courier just passed before me and marked my address as incorrect. They are reluctant to contact the receiver in phone though I paid for on demand delivery. Even the local providers are better than this international provider. The customer care was hopeless they blamed me for incorrect address and they said I can get the package in next day.
