You can do better DHL
Parcel was dropped on the ground near mailbox rather than front door. I understand if they didn't place it in mailbox because the parcel doesn't fit but to just leave it there where pedestrian can see is infuriating. Not to mention, it was about to rain that day and the parcel contains batteries and techs. Imagine if I have not check my email (which they fail to notify after delivery) today, and the stuff will be soak and ruin under the rain. Whose gonna compensate for the damage? I doubt DHL will.

Yet again DHL holding back my parcel as…
Yet again DHL holding back my parcel as they think I am a terrorist. Racial discrimination as I am Muslim and because of my name. I provided my ID but refusing to deliver my parcel. They blame it on customs but funnybi receive other parcel with other companies with no issue. NEVER WOULD I WANT TO DEAL WITH DHL AGAIN.
Spread the word DHL NZ are worse than the worst
Driver didn’t deliver the parcel but drove into the brick letterbox. Didn’t call and leave any details (now over two weeks) as is required by law. DHL customer service are spineless and only push emails on to the drivers, who do nothing, driver supervisor does nothing and only complains to their own customer service exec that he is being harassed (for doing something that is legally required by law) AND when it is he who calls me!! Then he just abuses my wife and I when he speaks to us. So ignorant and racist attitudes, obviously they have something to hide (perhaps no third party cover) how can a so called leader in logistics employ such people.? drivers, supervisors and customer service executives.? Ah yeah, they are a company that has no interest in doing its job, just in making $$, regardless of the cost to their clients.. DON’T USE DHL NZ..
Great service!
Had a rug delivered by DHL. On time, amazing communication. I wasn't home when delivered the first time, driver left a note with all the options to have it either re-delivered or pick up from a designated depot. I downloaded their app which was one of the options. Took me a few minutes to download, set up and arrange a next day re-delivery. Rug was re-delivered the next morning.
Amazing service, highly recommend and would definitely use again. I'm keeping the app on my phone for next delivery. Thank you DHL.
Worst express courier company in the…
Worst express courier company in the world, they shouldn’t be allowed to use the word express, even snail 🐌 mail would be quicker. Items arrived in NZ more than 3 weeks ago and they are still sitting there. If I’d known the company I’d used sub contracted to DHL I would have found a different company. DHL have consistently been poor worldwide from my previous experience.
Their courier damaged our door handle…
Their courier damaged our door handle when delivering parcels. DHL useless customer service abruptly ended our conversation when she couldn't contact the courier driver. Utterly useless service, i guess i will wear the clothes you delivered to keep me warm now I'm locked out of my house. Thanks for the damage DHL
4 weeks from L.A to Auckland?
4 weeks from L.A to Auckland?! This is unheard of during or before COVID. From another supplier, one week and not expensive - 1-2 weeks was my previous experience on this route. They waste fuel flying it to Germany - then it leaves there and no tracking for about two weeks, then re appears in NZ. It would be better if it sat in L.A waiting to get on a flight to Auckland. I have pleaded with the supplier to change their courier
Extremely bad customer service
Extremely bad customer service, cudnt understand simple instructions. Received several email that I can pick up from Auckland airport once payment done and no invoice provide than my stuff just appeared in Wellington. No truth provided. Only generic email send and the actual conversation does not seem to go through. Still hasn't received my stuff and had to deal with more than 15 ppl in DHL. Pathetic service overall. It's been more than three weeks yet again stuff not received. Was supposed to be received on 21 April and it's 10 may now.
Every conversation they keep requesting payment to be paid when it's been paid week ago. I had to pay$ 380.00 on top of every other expenses. Initially I was told it wud cost around $70 to $90. Still no explanation given or proper invoice showing details. Never dealing with them again.
Appalling customer service
Courier left a card saying a code would be sent to unlock box at collection point. 3 days later nothing…half an hour on live chat , two fruitless vsits to the collection point (at my cost) and still no parcel. I visited the Hong Kong mansion of the DHL regional Director years ago. They need to cut costs on perks and reinvest in customer services.
Terrible Experience with DHL's Inefficiency and Inconsistency
I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with DHL while purchasing an umbrella online. They repeatedly asked me for the same ID copy for an entire week, even though I had already provided it. This not only caused a serious two-week delay in the delivery, but also frustrated me with their inefficiency.
Additionally, I am aware that there is no legal requirement in New Zealand for every parcel to be accompanied by an ID copy. This makes me question the legitimacy of DHL's procedures and policies. What's more, the umbrella seller informed me that their local DHL branch claimed I had refused to pay import taxes, which is completely false. As the recipient, I am only required to pay import taxes if the package's value exceeds NZD$1,000.
The inconsistency between DHL's European and New Zealand branches further raises concerns about the reliability and compliance of their internal security and screening processes. Due to this terrible experience, I cannot imagine ever using DHL again and would not recommend their services to anyone.
NOT RECEIVED parcel sent on 4th April…
NOT RECEIVED parcel sent on 4th April via DHL europost from Germany to NZ - still not received - tracking information is useless - customer service is of zero help
parcel sits in Germany for days on end with not further updates
DHL NZ is just as bad - not interested in helping
I would not recommend DHL
not in tune with the realities of small businesses. do not value loyal customers.
As a long-standing customer of DHL for the past 6 years, I am writing to express my disappointment with DHL Express NZ. I experienced a delay in payment to DHL of total $1500NZD in February due to importing a large quantity of shoes into New Zealand. It was a temporary problem. However, I informed DHL that I would wait for the shoes to arrive before paying, and I kept my word by paying in full once they arrived. Additionally, I had 25 orders to ship that were previously clogged as pre-orders since December.
Despite my efforts to resolve the issue, DHL closed my account and has refused to reopen it. This decision is particularly concerning, given that I have spent $38,942.75NZD annually for the past 6 years with DHL.
DHL's suggestion of using direct debit to clear the outstanding balance did not seem like a genuine solution since the availability of funds is a crucial factor. It is disheartening to see that large corporations like DHL are not in tune with the realities of small businesses.
Although paying invoices on a weekly basis may be a better option, DHL has not provided me with this option. Instead, they decided to close my account abruptly by saying that $1500 nzd delay in payment is
the stability and financial risk for DHL.
Unfortunately, despite my contributions, I feel that I've been treated unfairly recently.
It is evident that they do not value loyal customers.
Thieves. (That get away with it)
None of our parcels ever get past the depot once they reach NZ from America. They are ruining our business single handedly.
Why do you use Aramex in NZ
Why do you use Aramex in NZ? You are a worldwide company, why don't you use your own subsidiary, DHL Express?
NZ Shipping times have increased…
NZ Shipping times have increased considerably. Once upon a time, DHL would hand off packages to NZpost and within 12-24 hours they are delivered. Well, now - Its changed... Packages now sit in auckland for a few days before going out to regions for delivery.
We don't pay for packages to sit in your warehouses, DHL/NZPost. We pay for the packages to be delivered.
USELESS PERIOD!!!
Most useless delivery company there is.
Apparently DHL has its own Customs department which is operated separately to NZ CUSTOMS pretty sure that would be frowned upon, if not bordering illegal.
Also they do not talk to or converse with NZ CUSTOMS even after multiple phone conversations with the team at NZ CUSTOMS who assured me all the details of Clearance and Payment were forwarded to DHL as the package I received was over the $1000 threshold.
Honestly the incompitance of DHL is beyond belief 1st and last time using them, don't bother using DHL period.
Worse ever courier to use
Worse ever courier to use. customer service department is more worse makes up a story every time I call. will not use then ever again.
My parcel arrived in NZ on 11 December…
My parcel arrived in NZ on 11 December 2022. It has not moved past "arrived at facility". DHL tell me something different everytime I call and fob me off blaming customs and NZ Post. The customer service is non existent. I will never use DHL again.
