DoYouSpain refuses to refund my money after Europcar denied giving me the rental car at the counter due to a name mismatch. I have official written proof from Europcar that the car was never picked up and the service was denied. DoYouSpain is holding 100% of my money for a service they never delivered. I have already filed an official case with the European Consumer Centre (ECC) and started a credit card chargeback. I demand a full refund immediately. bookingnr : PRE-213109494

Excellent website, quick and easy to use and book

When we went to pick up the car, they did not have the car that we booked. We were offered a smaller car plus The wanted €2000 from my credit card as an excess when I declined I was told I would get a refund but now they have changed her mind and refused the refund. This is as close to a scam as I have ever seen. Avoid at all cost.

These people are terrible. I arrived at the airport later than expected. They had cancelled my booking. They would not refund my money. They are not a car rental company they are brokers. Customer service was non existent.

Booking was straight forward with no problems

Be careful ! The rental conditions are completely hidden when you’re making a reservation and once it’s confirmed (and you’ve already paid) they’re saying you that you’ll have to pay more or even that you won’t be able to drive the car with of course no refund or possibility of editing the reservation.

My experience with this company was extremely disappointing.

I only received the rental contract 24 hours before the vehicle pickup. In my opinion, very important conditions, such as the card requirements and the fact that the main driver’s name cannot be changed, should be made much clearer before the booking is completed.

When I arrived to collect the car, I presented five different bank cards, including a Girokonto card, but none of them were accepted. As a result, I was unable to pick up the vehicle.

I asked for a simple solution: to change the main driver’s name to Ioan Gheorghita. I even offered to pay an administrative fee for the name change, but my request was refused.

I then asked for a refund because I could not use the service I had paid for, but this was also refused simply because the booking was marked as non-refundable.

In my opinion, the company showed no willingness to help or find a reasonable solution for its customer. I consider this service unprofessional and not customer-friendly. I cannot recommend this company and will never use it again.

Car rental prices are competitive to others, however, discounts should be made available to returning customers, such as myself.
Choice of vehicles to value need to be improved, as I found most affordable price to size of vehicle I required was 'full electric' only. This is very poor availability, as it is difficult to plan to charge a holiday rental electric car.
