Well they are quite unorganised and it is not helped by the clients bargaining and not speaking well neither English or Spanish so it's not their fault. Still I arrived early enough to not have too mu... See more

Great service
Quickly and with a big smile we were helped by Christina at the Barcelona office.
Great service and a beautiful car!
My experience with Drivalia was…incredible
My experience with Drivalia was seamless from the very beginning. I conversed with a service agent called Silvia throughout my hire who was extremely helpful explaining pre-rental checks and hire guidance. The car itself was perfect for my trip and upon return the service agent who checked me out was also incredibly helpful and polite.
Excellent First time customer
First time ive used this car hire company but I will definitely be using them again..
The reception staff were all very professional and worked hard to make sure all customers were happy. To be honest I didn't notice the car collection point was not on the airport site but it honestly made no difference. The shuttle bus was waiting and it took just 5 minutes. My only criticism is that I think the depot address should be clearly marked on paperwork to make using the sat nav more precise. The price of the car hire was much better than the others on the airport site
Xavi at Girona airport was amazing
Xavi at Girona airport was extremely helpful and understanding. We had an issue with our booking and he went above and beyond to sort this out for us seamlessly!
Drivalia Alicante SCAM
I rented two cars from this company (Alicante Airport) in May as it was cheaper to rent for 12 and 16 days rather than the full 28.
The following is what happened to me and is a true representation of the company playbook.
They give you a good price upfront and then try to sell you insurance for the duration of the rent which costs more than the rental itself. I refused as I already have an annual policy. Next, you’re given a car, in the first instance with 4 faults on the paperwork, when you take it back other faults (dents, dings and scratches mysteriously appear on the car. I had taken photos of at least 5 on delivery, luckily the 5th was the dent they tried to charge me for. Fast forward 16 days later, I returned another car, basically a shed on wheels with 18 faults listed on the paperwork. But guess what? They found another scratch hidden underneath the bumper which they made me pay for.
In summary, don’t use this scam company, pay a little extra and use a company you’ve heard of. Only this morning news reached me that a friend of mine has also been attempted to be scammed by them.
If my post stops people from booking then my job is done.
Great agency for renting cars
Renting from Drivalia went smoothly and quickly on my vacation in Costa Brava. Xavi and Laura were friendly and professional during the whole process. I recommend this agency.
Friendly, fast, and easy
This was our second booking at Drivalia. Everything went super smooth again. Staff was very friendly, especially Anas when we returned the car.
£34 for 5 days for a car that has done…
£34 for 5 days for a car that has done 5000km - such a bargain! So pleased with our experience, car was great, collection and drop off was seamless. Only issue would be the description of where to pick up the shuttle from was not the best!
In averageI rent with many companies
In averageI rent with many companies, but this have been the best, especially for business there is a straight forward payment nothing on the shadows and not need for deposit if you pay insurance, what it was very good for me to be without trouble and knowing that the payment it will be what I pay. The customer service and all service just the best!
Helpful and kind staff
Hired a car through sunny cars and they didn't try to sell us another insurance which was very nice. Alberto from the Barcelona office was very nice, helpful and kind and it was a very chill and quick process to drop off the car. Great service overall. Would recommend!
As others have said
As others have said, watch out for this con artist. A shame because I’ve used them before and found them to be fine. Not this time - they must be on bonus’s for picking up non-existent scratches.
Here’s what happened. We picked up a car last Thursday. It was heavily scratched with over 20 marks reported on the car report. I have separate car hire annual insurance so turned down their pushy sales stuff because I’m otherwise covered opting to pay the larger deposit.
Took lots of photos of the car and its scratches even though they were on the report as well.
On returning the car today, it was obvious that the assistant checking the car back in was on a commission to charge us extra for the privilege. She pointed to three scratches (probably on the report anyway) and tried to suggest these were new. Obviously they weren’t- we had photos to show clearly that they were already on the car when we picked it up..
But this girl was on a mission! I genuinely don’t think she was going to stop until she found something!! Aha - a minor scratch on the bottom rear bumper - and she lucks out because my photo doesn’t clearly show this scratch even though I know it was not damage caused by myself. It’s a charge of over 200 euros of course. I’ll get it back via my insurance but it’s a hassle I could do without. Disgracefully dishonest at Alicante. A shame for Drivalia because I use car hire companies a lot but will now add these to the avoid list. You should as well.
Avoid avoid avoid - have yourself the hassle on areival
The employees at welcome desk were so threatening in regards to taking out additional insurance. I found it extremely distressing. Angel the manager was extremely condescending when we tried to complain about the way we had been treated. It really spoilt our arrival to Spain. I emailed customer services and had no response. The experience was so bad it has put me off renting a car from any provider in the future. Save yourself the hassle and chose a different provider.
Poor experience Malaga
Make sure that customers are ware that your facility is not in the airport. Have signs to the collection point or someone there to greet passengers as they exit the airport. Have signs at the collection point
Train staff to be more polite, helpful and better dressed
Abandon hard sell of additional insurance policies
Have someone take customers to the car rather than just hand them the keys.
Make sure the petrol tank is actually full as specified on the paper work, which is also ambiguous. I had to give photographic evidence that the tank was only one third full on collection when I returned the car.
We also wanted to change the main driver name as my wife was added in error. We had tried to change this with EasyJet weeks before who had never responded. Drivalia said we couldn’t change it with them and we’d have to contact EasyJet which was not very helpful.
My wife is disabled and finds it difficult to drive so we had to pay an additional £96 to add me as a second driver on top of the additional £200 for insurance that we thought we already had.
Supereasy - supernice
Supereasy to get a good car - incl a cool upgrade. Supernice people (especially Yahya!) with very helpful tips for driving through downtown Valencia.
Thanks!
Great service
Rented a car for a long weekend at the Barcelona office and it all went so smooth. Also, the staff was really kind and welcoming, especially Alberto was nice and helped us really well!
As close as you get to a scam
As close as you get to a scam. Drivalia will do whatever it takes to have you sign up for their full coverage insurance. When I said I was not interested (I had signed a full coverage insurance with a third party) I was threatened that it would take 2 hours to return the car. When I resisted I was told that they did not accept any of the 5 credit cards I offered them for the deposit. The solution, as you may already have guessed, was to sign up for their full coverage insurance. When I told them that this was a scam, the service person said that he would never rent a car with a firm with such low rating on Trustpilot.
It took over 2 hours waiting in line to get the car, add to this that the outlet at Palma airport requires a 10 min bus ride. My strong advise, do not rent with Drivalia!!!
Very bad
Very bad. Avoid at all costs..
The cars have so many scratches and damages that you cannot spot all of them. So when you return it they will stay for an hour trying to find the slightest scratch you haven't reported to charge redicucly high amounts your personal insurance. I did the mistake to tell them I had a personal insurance when picked up the car...
Very good service and good quality…
Very good service and good quality cars, helpfull staff and a great shuttle service. Next time i will book a car here again! Special thanks to Puneet
Good rental
Awful experience returning the car to Valencia
Awful experience returning the car to Valencia airport. We had a puncture when in javea, about 90 mins from their office at Valencia airport. No spare tire and nothing to repair that tire with (car was almost brand new). Called the office and they sent a local tow truck which arrived after about 45 mins (not bad). V nice driver who said policy was to go to the Drivalia office and get a replacememt car - this would have taken at least nearly 5 hours in total which for a puncture is ridiculous so the tow tuck took us of to a local garage. Tire had a small tear on the inside of the tirewall so could not be repaired so I paid Euro 120 for a new tire to be fitted. On returning the car I explained what had happened and the young male staff went mad, it was not their tow truck (it absolutely was as it was organised by their office, the guy refused to believe me despite me showing my phone log of call to Drivelalai). They charged me Euro620 for 2 new tires as they said they had to match, why not just buy 1 to match the new one I put on) plus 2 days extra hire fee for the car being off the road - they drove it away to get it fixed while we were still there. Total bill Euro 1100. Total rip-off plus the guy was really unpleasant, and aggressive. I'll try to reclaim some or all of the costs fromthe car hire insurance but I won't be using Drivalia again and do not recommend that you do either.
