Very fast and useful response to technical queries

I experienced a very fast and useful response to my technical query regarding the suitable moisture content for wood / timber when re-coating. I had been unable to reliably find the information anywhere else so I was particularly pleased to receive such a helpful reply to my query.

Sample pack arrived too late

I ordered with 7 days before my painter was due to start. The samples should have arrived within 5 days. They arrive too late but it was short notice and they refunded me for the sample pack.

Exceptional Customer Service

I had an issue with some paint and Dulux were amazing in rectifying the situation. From the moment I contacted them to resolution they went above and beyond. The customer service shown was first class and they clearly want to support customers when and where they are able to. Will always use Dulux for decoration, not only for the quality product but the service they have shown me.

Great Customer Service

Great Customer Service. I had a faulty paint can purchased from B&Q, got in touch with Dulux customer service team who asked for the information. I then got a voucher to replace the product which is all I wanted. Thanks Nav Kanth

Fabulous Team

Great team working there.
Sorted out our problems with patience and a smile, None of that miserable 'why are you worrying me' attitude found elsewhere.
Also, having had a look around at the Perth store and their prices, would recommend a visit to anyone looking to buy paint and to be assured of first rate assistance and service.

Just wallnut, Colour in a tin out totally different

Colour came out totally different. Instead of cream it's misty purple. Shame i can't attach picture. Wasted one time chance, as it was hard to paint structured wallpaper, which has been painted already in cream. Took me 3 days. Anyway, keep your receipt as I'm sure i could have returned it with such a significant difference in colour. I'm freak when it comes to colours, so I spent days on picking the right one. And yes, I've tried some samples, but in different colour and got this one in the end as it seemed perfect and safe. Now I have to look at it.

Colour match machines are terrible

I always go to dulux as the most affordable but best quality paint - but to choose a variation of colours in the pre mixed paints is hard. Theres very limited variety in stores so I always get a mix of samples from the website to find my perfect shade - I then struggle to find where you can buy these shades! If you’re lucky you’ll find a 2.5 but for a large room that’s not enough so they encourage you to use the official dulux mixing machine.

When I say every time I mean every single time I’ve purchased from the official dulux mixing machine in my local hardware store the colour has always been not marginally off but massively. The entire colour ends up completely different, the undertones especially. I need warmth in my colours for my home so browns and creams and it always makes it cold and ashy or just too dark from green to blue.

I wouldn’t care but the paints you mix are expensive anyway! I’m in the middle of painting my kitchen, got the perfect colour of green ‘Jurassic stone’ went and got it mixed and it’s blue…..??? We always use the dulux owned paint to mix it into by the way so the tone in the paint can’t be the issue surely. The colour charts are just insane. Absolute waste of money!

So sorry to hear your experience with our mixed paints, I can totally understand how frustrating it is to expect one colour and be left with another.

We do try and make our colours the same across the board of our products, however making a colour is like using a cake recipe: we use the same ingredients/tinters, however the cake/colour can turn out slightly different every time. This is what creates batch to batch variation between products.

A colour can also be offshade for other reasons like machine mistints, or out dated recipes. Given what you have said, we would be more than happy to investigate this for you and try and help to get that perfect colour.

Very good customer service.

I had a very frustrating time trying to get the lid off a can of Weathershield primer in the absence of any instructions on the tin. However, I was impressed with my customer service contact, who turned out to be very helpful and friendly, responding promptly and finding the answer for me.

Needed a fast delivery….

I recently spoke to Heena about an order that I had placed that I needed quickly as did not realise next day delivery was not available on the website and I had taken a week off work to decorate. I called the Friday before BH and Heena kindly managed to get the paint despatched same day and I received on the following Tuesday which I thought was a fantastic service. Thank you Heena, we are very greatful :)
