Very bad experience, the wireless connections slow and customer/technical support is just asking to unplug and plug it back. I can do that. No help at all. Please don't buy this peace of s***.

Unable To Set Up Basic Security

We've had Eero for ~6 months, purchased in Canada from Amazon I believe. With basic out of the box set up, it works well enough. But, setting up a secure home network with basic best practices, is not possible. Just one example, you cannot set up a seperate network to seperate IoT from everything else. You would want to segregate your tech so if your IoT front door gets hacked, your laptop remains safe. Also, the guest network is Terrible. Tech support said it is designed to run slower, I can tell from experience it runs much slower, drops regularly, and has limited range. So not only can this not be used for segregation it is a terrible guest experience. It's a 'plastic' product designed for only the simplest of uses and does not stand up to the demands of homes with increasingly digital ecosystems that need to be properly protected.

Over priced and poor technology

Just absolutely over priced and rubbish.
I got City Fibre 1 GHZ connection via TalkTalk and they supy this rubbish eero router.
I can barely get 20MHz using this accross 12 to 15 feet.
The neighbours routers provides a 5 bar signal through thick double walls and this does 3 bars barely. It doesn't change channel automatically either so stuck on one as all the other neighbours. Utter price of rubbish. TalkTalk must suply another router.

Over heats,recurrently stops working…

Over heats, recurrently stops working and drops connection, numerous contacts with customer service polite but useless, won’t replace under warranty. Now the system completely stopped working. This after 3-4 months. Waste of money: DO NOT BUY. Replacement Orbi works perfectly.

(Note: We expected that this system would help our delivering remote medical care. In fact it was unreliable and a detriment.)

Addendum- I sent Eero requested info twice for a replacement- The system was purchased directly from them.

Since supplying system info they have requested it again and now demand serial on power cord????? Any excuse to not replace. Also demanded my phone number which I reluctantly provided. The nerve of them. And still nothing. DO NOT BUY EERO.

Hung up on by customer service!

Received a marketing letter to my home today advertising broadband. Rang the company as I wanted my address removed from mailing list. Took ages to get through and when I finally spoke to someone in customer services, after she asked for my postcode she hung up. Rang back again and was asked for my name to remove my details. I said that the letter didn’t have my name, it was address ‘to the homeowner’ ‘so it’s just my address I need to give you’
I was asked to hold then hung up on again!
Will never consider using them in future.

The routers they sell via talktalk…

The routers they sell via talktalk aren’t branded so they’re completely indistinguishable from the eero devices you would buy on Amazon or elsewhere, but the talktalk provided ones can be blocked at will by talktalk. Eero support won’t do anything to help.

So - AVOID AVOID AVOID.
These routers can be turned into expensive bricks whenever they choose. No regard to the environmental impact.

Eero phone support is flawless

I have used an Eero Pro 6 (Ethernet backed up) WiFi Mesh with 4 Eeros running in my house. I have called Eero twice for support. They were friendly, structured and patient and solved my regarding problem on their first attempt every time. I am super happy with them!

Otherwise, the Eero App works like a charm and the overall WiFi system is stabler than any other network system and component I have in the house.

Buy from Amazon.com - Avoid eero.com

Bought my initial eero 6+ system off amazon.com and ring.com Both good experience. Wanted to get one more extender - so purchased online off eero.com. Horrible experience. No order status after 7 days - still don't know what the status is. No number to call. Email response from eero show they didn't even read my emails. POINT - ok product - but eero support is horrible, so buy from amazon.com (who owns eero anyway).

Loving my eeero 6 setup

I’m very impressed with my eero 6 router/wi fi extender setup. The first eero 6 came free as the main router for my TalkTalk Future Fibre 150 service and I bought a couple more from Amazon to increase performance throughout our house.

Initial setup was a breeze & the final result is excellent wi fi everywhere. I did have a problem with initial placement which resulted in the eeros fighting each other & annoying frequent Wi-Fi dropouts but a call to eero support helped me sort this out & now everything is perfect.

The product is great and the support is too. I really recommend it.

Worst customer service ever!

Worst customer service ever!, I have eero secure, I wanted to upgrade to secure plus but I had already paid for the year, so I called and talked to them about adding the new and prorating the old so I wasn’t paying twice. No problem I thought, but it has to go to a different department where apparently it sits forever, was told 1-2 days initially, called back after 3 days to be told a few days called today 6 days later to be told a week. I wish I had never started this and will very seriously consider canceling when my time is up.

I would have to say avoid this service if at all possible, as they tout better customer service with the secure, but it’s pretty useless.

Also their secure blocks any ads done when searching and also blocks some valid pages as well. The routers work pretty good but the additional services are fair and customer service stinks.

Worst customer service

More than a month and a half and still no refund for RMA. Return was delivered on 11/30 but still nothing. Worst experience working with a company. Should have never ordered through eero.com and should have gone with Amazon. What a disaster. No response to emails. I am going to do a chargeback.

Good luck if you have a problem

A week after switching to a three eero system, our gateway would drop service at least once per day for about 1 minute. Customer service told me to swap out the gateway one for one of my others. I did and that largely solved the problem. Then the one that had the problem started dropping signal when used as the repeater. Eero customer support promised a return. Then after a week of silence, they said I needed to reboot and wait to see if it went out again. This pushes me to 4 weeks into the problem with no resolution Good luck if you have a problem.

The eero product is overrated and does not work.

The eero product is overrated. I spent almost $500 to boost my internet and their mesh system is lacking. Quite simply, it does not work. Their tech keeps requesting from me to move the units around and reboot them. That does not work. I have tried everything that EERO has asked me to do and still does not work. Save your money. Its too late for me to return them.
