Erg Plumbing 

I drove 2 hours to my holiday cottage for a pre arranged booking. When I chased up because the plumber hadn’t arrived, I was told his van wasn’t working properly and it would be another day. I know these things happen but I’m wondering at what point would they have called to tell me this. Obviously can’t be relyed on. I’ll go elsewhere.

I feel cheated and very upset after calling ERG Facilities having been charge £162.00 for the advice to change a dripping tap. This is a scam.

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Having been told between 8am to 12 noon, they eventually turned up about 4.15pm and it took the plumber an hour and a 20 minutes to remove a kitchen sink mixer tap and replace it with another one that I had already bought. The water pressure is about half what it used to be and the pipes under the sink are wet, so I think there is a slow leak. My whole day has been wasted. They then charged me £324.

Absolute joke of a company, do not use, apart from recepionist who was very polite i had a nightmare. They take your card details before the job is seen. An apparent gas registered plumber turned up with no tools to fix a f28 error on my boiler. After pressing the reset button a few times he went out to his van to come back with a screwdriver and still could not get front cover of boiler off. He then said i know what part i need, said he would ring back and repair, he has not returned and i have been charged £162.

I booked a tanker Thursday 24/2 to come today Friday between 9 and 12, I got a phonecall to say that one would be arriving not at the allocated time but before 5pm and they would keep me informed.I phoned up to see , and they informed me that they couldn't get a tanker to me!!!They were very apologetic, Dyno Rod did exactly the same thing on Wednesday!!!I wonder if I hadn't of phoned whether the company would have let me know.

ERG was called out to a pub. to a blocked toilet. They could not attend the same day. Arrived 3 days later.was there for 15min. did not clear the blockage which they said they had. They Changed £354
When I complained to the company I was asked for more card details. Before they would come out again.
I refused to pay another penny so they did not come out to fix the problem.
In the end I got another company who charged £135 did the job in 10min
I would not recommend this company ever

Waited all day for a no-show. Called early am. Delayed 4hrs from initially scheduled pm visit, then simply didn't turn up and never called. I had to chase them up myself 4 times but Plumber never answered call. Eventually cancelled to seek other plumber while I'm left without running water in mid-february.

Steer clear of ERG unless you want to waste £165 plus VAT - the plumber didn't even take the shower apart. He just stood there, said he didn't know what make it was and suggested I put a towel down so that I couldn't hear the drip any more. Customer Service a joke. Complained about lack of service received and they literally just said tough luck and then told me the plumber had "diagnosed" that I needed a new shower. I didnt. My brother-in-law took the shower apart and it only needed a replacement gauge/cassette.

They visited my friend a week back,charged her £400 to tell her there was no problem. She paid just to get the plumber out of her house.
No receipt,invoice etc.To complain she rang ERG who denied any knowledge of her booking.Strange as the plumber said he was from ERG upon arrival.
When we rang the plumber who came out he wasnt interested,just said ring the office who denied everything.

Scam.

This company is a scammer. plumber tuned in for 2 mins and said that I need a new trap and they are not authorised to fix it and I will get another quotation for parts and fix. 135 + vat for 2 mins and no fix. Big scam

I wish I had read reviews before I dealt with this company!!
I was very pleased that I had been able to book s plumber (to unblock my wash basin ) the next day . I was given a time slot between 2pm and 6pm . I rearranged my day / week so I could be there - no
one turned up !!!
No communication was made to me to explain that there was a problem and when I phoned them I was kept on hold until I eventually hung up. They hold my bank details and they assured me no charge would be made . Hoping this company is not a gigantic scam !!!!!

We had a leak at our property and was unsure as to where it was coming from. Plumbers turned up and after looking at it for all of two minutes decided it was coming from oil boiler that they were not registered to work on so left £ 135.00 + vat for 2 minutes absolute joke of a company.

Plumber never turned up. They took £210 from our bank without us knowing, because we were sucked in and wrongly gave our card details which apparently they do to all customers. This can’t be legal to take peoples money with out them knowing. I phoned and they were quite rude,I sent email which they didn’t acknowledge.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS ! Booked to come out same day emergency plumbing for stop cock and fit shower . Came next day! (Eventually). Fixed stop cock - now shower leaking. Endless phone calls to ERG, passed about no calls back various excuses about “finding engineer that came “. (Despite of course our contract being with them not who subbed work to.) still waiting .. zero apologies until are asked for one and didn’t really get one … still unresolved! AWFUL 🤬😡

Extremely poor service, waited in twice for a plumber to come out was let down twice and the customer service team don't keep you informed and called me late on both occasions.
Would definitely not recommend this service!

RUBBISH SERVICE. WAITED IN ALL DAY. DIDN’T ARRIVE AND CALLED 10 MINS BEFORE THE END OF THE SLOT TO INFORM ME THEY COULDN’T HELP.

Booked them to come out within 90 minutes as an emergency... Got called an hour later to tell me that they couldn't find anyone to come out... No mention when I booked them that they had to source a plumber themselves... Total waste of time. They should explain at the time that they need to source someone... Not they will send someone if they can find them!!!

Choose another company! Totally unreliable.
I placed a service for a shower problem, 5 times they failed to attended booked calls, promises were made but I was totally let down.
Beware, Steer clear, Hopeless!

My 80 year old mother was charged £597 for a 20 minute job.

She had been quoted £145 +vat.

The money was taken out of her bank account, before she got the bill, as they had her card details.

She is now £400 short for her bills and food for rest of December. She has been in floods of tears today - 5 days before Christmas.

How can this be acceptable and legal?
