Erg Plumbing 

Absolutely useless. I would give zero stars, if that was an option. I was looking for the quick response that they advertised only to be contacted at the end of the appointment time to be told that they were caught up on a job elsewhere. A further appointment was made for the following day. Same thing happened. They then said that they could attend two days later, in other words three days after the original appointment. I cancelled at that point and will need to check that they haven’t taken a payment from the credit card that they insisted on taking the details for. I can only describe this business as ‘dodgy’. Avoid at all costs!

Review amended. The original call-out was fair enough. Engineer was nice and seemed helpful, but did a bit of tinkering and didn't solve the problem. They agreed to come back, but "snagging" takes 36 hours - not an emergency response!

Contacted 16/6. Failed to turn up 17/6 - claimed to have left message. re-booked for 20/6. Phoned at 11;00 to advise of delay. Arrived 3 minutes to 6. Advised to book normal service and not use emergency service. Rang late morning 21/6. Promise a call back within 3 hours. None came. Rang 22/6 and told could not be dealt with on emergency number and to contact via link in eMail. Link did not work. They contacted me via email to chase up acceptance of quote (which I had not received) and did not reply to my complaint. Not worth even one star. They have no concept of customer.

Wish I had been sensible enough to read the reviews BEFORE I contacted these bandits. Was quoted one hundred & fifty five pounds (per hour's work) to change a rubber seal on a toilet outlet pipe. The bloke turned up, looked at it for a few minutes & then told us that he'd have to remove the toilet completely (????) to replace the seal & that there was a possibility that he might break the toilet by moving it & then he'd have to fit a new toilet completely. He then left & told us to contact ERG again, regarding costs. Left us with (still) a leaking toilet. Phoned ERG & they told us that we would STILL be charged £155 ( for the 5 minutes that he took to NOT do the repair ). Will fight this tooth & nail, to get my money back. DO NOT USE ERG PLUMBING !!! Bunch of thieving scammers !

This seems to be a national agency, taking bookings then trying to get a tradesman to carry out the work. I don't see how they can control the quality, but they take the booking and make a promise. For a plumber in the North West they quoted £135 + VAT per hour. It transpired that they could not find a plumber in my area, and having promised a plumber by 1.30pm that day, they phoned me from the south of England to tell me that they had failed to find anyone for the job. I cancelled. I will be morecareful in future.

Would be a zero like everybody else. Just bloody cowboys. Cost us £486 for nothing. Still not fixed. Do not use. It seems to be an agency

This company are scammers and cowboys. Says they work 24/7, no they do not.
Take your card details to get a plumber back, why when you've already paid as still leak, makes excuses and full of crap. £222 to change a washing machine pipe, pray on the vulnerable

Contacted this company to repair the flush on a toilet without checking the reviews.
That mistake cost me £360 for a job that should not have cost half that. Operative charged full hour when on-site for only a few minutes. Still overcharged me by taking money directly from credit card.

Phone for you to carry out a job. "Will take 30 days to pay" they never paid yet customer will still be charged a very high repair bill.

Avoid do not use. Scammers that will take money from your account t without prior permission

I would give no stars but there is no option. I called these for my elderly parents as they had a leaking toilet, was told at 11am somebody would be there by 4…. No show so called them and said they were struggling to find somebody but somebody would be there the next day. At 12pm the next day they rang and said yet again they could not find anybody!!!! Two whole days wasted and very rude customer service

I have had a very bad experience they have taken 186.00 pounds for nothing done, 10mins max. The bloke hadn't a clue, said would ring back next day, never has. I still had a leak, he told me to rap a towel round it,!! Scammers DON'T use them,

I used to work for them I am a qualified Plumber of 27 years tired of them messing me around not paying. I blocked their number they call on different numbers please people do not use, they are a rip off and use anybody with a spanner to bodge..

They lied with the quote. They charged twice as much as told over the phone.

Don’t bother with these id1ots, everything was booked in smoothly, then a phone call 4 hours later saying no-one was available! No alternative offered. Do yourself a favour and stay clear of these cowboys

You'd have to be desperate to use this company and we were, so we did, prepared to pay the exorbitant charges because we needed reliability. They didn't turn up within the four hour window, then phoned when they plainly hadn't gotten their money, full of apologies which soon turned to threats we would have to pay anyway, when we then cancelled, having waited another 90 mins. Excuse me? The best part of 160 quid for nothing?? I don't think so.

Shocking sxxt from a company. Id give em less than one if i could. They charged me £162 or thereabouts for an electrician to stand on my doorstep and not step foot inside my property today 😑. Their website is misleading and fraudlent and there is no audio or written record of any costs, booking or work undertaken. Staff are rude, unprofessionalism and chat pure fart. Its not legal despite what they say. You do know there are legal options to pursue?? No way will they get away with this. I dont care how long it takes. Am making a formal complaint and await a response. Reading all these comments I know there will be no resolution. BUT Im in it for the long term my people...don't take this bullsxit laying down

Terrible experience. I called them out to fix a leak and they charged me 162 pounds up front. A guy came out and spent 10 minutes and told me I had a leak and they would be back in touch. I then called them to be told that, that call was my 162 pounds and if I wanted them to call again it would be more. A total rip off don´t use them.

If I could give no stars I would. Total scam artists..do not use. I have LPG gas bottles and the main connection into the house was leaking has which I told them on the phone. The engineer was in my house less than 3 minutes and told me I had a leak, which is what I told them
He then left. This cost me
£185+ vat and I've stil not heard when they are coming back to fix it for which I would have to pay the same again plus the cost of the repair. Outrageous! Come with the part I requested at the call... But I guess that doesn't fall into the part of the scam. Avoid!!!

Do not use, two time slots cancelled and then when they did turn up we were charged £177 to weld a gas pipe onto an original pipe for a new hob, the pipe cost £10 ! They said they would be out before 5pm then that was cancelled, next morning between 9 and 12 and then got another phone call saying they would be there before two.left the house stinking of gas !
