These cowboys are a disgrace. £165+VAT (£198) call out charge after boiler broke down on return from holiday. House freezing, so in a panic called these. Promised a visit before 9pm, but did not arrive until half past after being chased up. Engineer looked at boiler manual and used Google to I'd fault. I could have told him it was the fan from the light flashing code. Was there 20 kins and left saying it needed a part which he didn't have. No further call back the following day, despite me chasing them up. Just got a call 42hrs later advising me the part will be £597 +vat and 2hrs labour, total £1017. TOTAL RIP OFF.

They're not a gas and heating company, they subcontract to local plumbers/engineers The website states 'no call out charge on completed work' but as soon as the guy steps through the door it'll cost you £150 - even if he hasn't done anything!!! IT'S A CALL OUT CHARGE!!!
If you've used them and have had this issue, contact Consumer Advice who will provide you with helpful support, as the company is providing misleading information on their website and is therefor in breach of Consumer Protection Regulations 2014.
Your bank may also be able to assist in terms of investigating and recovering the call out charge payment.

I wish I read the reviews before I used these con artists, had no experience with the issue I had and rewired it wrong which now blows the 3.15a fuses I had to buy which he never had himself.

Please just don’t use this guys. The charges are crazy and on top of that they didn’t turn up for the job. Poor. I just put one star to allow me to comment. Quality service poor really poor zero. Don’t waste your time or money.

We had a leak in bathroom run down onto boiler and controller took it all out tried to get local plumbing firm none available so got hold of this shower their charge was £ 125.00 plus vat told them what happened told them boiler make and controller details this was around 10 20 amiss the fitter turned up 4 20 pm he said boiler was okay it was the controller guess what he did not have one he could order come back and yes you have guessed anther £ 125.00 charge plus vat plus part he very rid controller to give me heat / hot water we chatted for about 12 15 minutes he was gone by 4 45pm and I was left to order part and fit myself plus what he did not tell me he opened port valve in airing cupboard so when I finally got part it still did not work right it was only because I eventually remembered he had gone in the cupboard this outfit are a load of rip off merchants and I would avoid like the plague avoid avoid avoid

That moment when you should have checked the review's before hand!

If you are here now reading the review's after a job from this company and you know they have charged far to much, or didn't mention the call out charges and further expenses... best to give 5 minutes of your life ,report to watchdog, or Trading standards., or a solicitor if you have the luxury :)

Stay local & less likely to be duped.

Extortion is the word that springs to mind. Didn’t turn up when booked, plumber no complaints but didn’t have spares, had to cannibalise something else to get the motor home repaired myself. Got charged 2 hours (£420), daylight robbery.

This appalling company do not even deserve one star. They Came to our house on the same day as we booked but only spent 3 minutes to tell us that they didn't carry a standard waste kit for a standard stainless steel kitchen sink. They had applied a £150 call out fee for this three minutes. Plumber said he could, or we could, get the waste kit. We decided to order online and the plumber advised to call him when it arrived so that he could fit it. The company then refused to complete the job unless we paid a second call out fee of another £150. Not only did they not carry what is a very common part, but appeared to use this as an excuse to charge unnaceptable and excessive call out fees. Disgusted.

I had a leak in my bedroom ceiling and my husband thought that it might be from the tank in the loft so I phoned ERG facilities (Emergency Response Group) who then asked for my card details before they even sent an engineer out.
I was hesitant to give my card details to a guy called James on the phone but he assured me that no money would be taken off my account, that it is just to secure the call out so I gave him my bank details.
The Engineer called Tariq Mob: 07809720422 came out and told me that there is a leak in the tank so I phoned my husband who works away all week and put him onto the phone with my husband. My husband asked Tariq to please empty the tank but Tariq ignored my husband and left our home. Tariq has not done anything at all except he has caused more damage to our property by not emptying the tank but I’ve noticed on the same day £150.00 was pending from them on my account and the money went off from my account the next day which was on Thursday.
I have since spoken to their Customer services to a woman called Amanda and also another woman called Lisa, a guy called Thomas and another guy called Wasif without any luck.
ERG facilities are fraudsters, liars and cheats.
I would never use them again and would never recommend them to anyone.
I am extremely disappointed in ERG facilities!

I am being kind giving this company one star. I waited in all day for a plumber, they said he would be with me before midday. Ten phone calls later, it was twenty minutes past four when he arrived. I had stayed in all day waiting with my autistic son, who was by this time clawing the ceiling with frustration. The plumber himself seemed a nice enough person, but he did not do a thorough job.

How I wish I’d read these reviews before booking them. I was charged an extortionate amount. I do not recommend them, avoid them at all costs. The worst customer service I have ever experienced.

AVOID... scammers charged an elderly couple £130 and did no work!!!!!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!Also wish we had read these reviews first. Was told a plumber would be with us at 9am. Called 3 times to find where he was/when he would arrive. Constantly told he was on his way. Finally arrived 2 hours late. Knew what the problem was immediately but took just over an hour to fix it and so consequently we had to agree to pay for 2hours work. Plumber blamed ERG for the pricing as they contracted out the work but also said they give him lots of work so pretty sure he was well aware of their charging policy. An absolute con....we’ve been left with a massive bill for a really minor repair and no apology or account taken of the fact that I had waited in for 2 hours for them to arrive!! Atrocious customer service.

This 1 star is way too kind & its only given as the company got a very good plumber sent out quickly for my Father. I should have read the reviews before booking through this un caring rip off company! My father has an illness which makes every day tasks difficult & erg showed no compassion & just wanted payment immediately no matter what the cost to any of us! Highly over priced & just heard they just slap on additional charges that you wouldn't get if you went direct to a plumber. Be warned DO NOT USE this Awful company!

Boiler broke down Saturday morning. Contacted ERG at 10.30am, was told that I’d have a plumber by 5pm. I called on EIGHT occasions to find out where plumber was, having been told he’d contact me with an ETA. At 4.45 i was told they had been unable to find a plumber for me. No hot water or heating. I rescheduled for Monday, 8-1pm, only to be told ‘Andrew’ would be with me between 3-5pm. Cancelled call out.
What a bunch of incompetent, lying, unprofessional ****les.

Mother had an issue with her gas boiler. Called these gangsters. A man arrived, condemned the boiler stating it's obsolete and thus irreparable. He left the boiler partially dismantled. He was there for 90 minutes and my mother was charged nearly £960. Yes, that’s right, £960. After a few phone calls, it appeared they had charged her twice. It took some time to get the £480 back.
I contacted a local gas man who diagnosed the fault and repaired it within 24 hours, serviced the boiler and gave it a clean bill of health.
This company is a disgrace and should be on ROGUE TRADERS. Disgusting.

I contacted ERG to book an engineer at 10am on Monday 20 January.
I was informed that an engineer would be with me before 2.30pm on Tuesday 21 January. I waited until 5pm on Tuesday afternoon but the engineer did not arrive. I was given an assurance on Wednesday 22 January that the engineer would be with me before noon. Again no engineer arrived. As I write this review at 1pm on Thursday 24 January, in spite of assurances from ERG I still await an engineer. This is a most unsatisfactory service and our shop has had to be closed all week with a significant loss of business.

Freezing cold house with no central heating or hot water due to broken boiler.
I agreed to the exorbitant charge of £165 + VAT because they guaranteed a plumber before 4pm on a Saturday. I then sat in all day waiting and got a call to say plumber was delayed etc etc on another job and couldn't come, BUT would be there between 9 and 12 on Sunday morning.
They agreed that as we'd be first call that would be around 9am. Same charge.
I reluctantly agreed to the Sunday morning call as it was getting more urgent: overnight temp was 2deg. I had to have the problem fixed as I work shift hours and wouldn't be available weekdays.
You can probably guess the next part. We were up and waiting before 9am...waiting and waiting...until we got a call after 11.30am to say there WERE NO PLUMBERS AVAILABLE THAT DAY and it might be Monday evening or Tuesday. They couldn't be certain. Still £165 + VAT for the first hour.

Don't go near these muppets. They'll say whatever they can to get the job and deliver absolutely nothing. They are making it up as they go along.
Steer well clear people! Do yourselves a favour. Don't be a total gullible mug like I was. Save your money and your sanity.
If there was a 'minus 5 star rating' I'd give them that.

Unreliable, lying time wasters. Absolutely do not recommend this company.
