Fastmail is a great and reliable service focused on privacy, which I really appreciate. The only downsides for me are the lack of built-in email translation and the apps. Both the mobile and Windows a... See more

Stupid company along with stripe mail box don’t receive password reset stripe support as stupid and long as can be
My experience with Fastmail has been fantastic. I left GSuite Legacy when Google sunset the free program. Fastmail has met and exceeded everything I needed in a new provider, including security, privacy, a robust feature set, easy migration from GSuite. I love some of the value-add features, such as Masked Email, aliases, multiple domains, and choosing between folders/labels. Their support has been responsive and helpful, and so far reliability is perfect. If I had one slight negative: the webmail and mobile UI/UX seems outdated, and isn't quite up-to-par with some of the modern alternatives, but it works just fine and doesn't get in the way.
All in all I couldn't be happier, highly recommended!
I've been a user for 4 years and while setup took a while initially the service has worked well until something changed and records were retired. To say that customer support is atrocious would be an understatement. Replies take days to get and follow up is as long as the initial contact. I work in tech and am studying cybersecurity so I was able to read my way to a solution after trying to wait for them to help. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and made me wonder where else may they have the same attitude in doing such lack luster work? Almost a week for ticket time responses is not customer service it is an embarrassment.
I was looking for an email service to migrate to from GMail. My main requirements were:
- based in a country with strong privacy laws
- supports custom domain
- has a first-party mobile app
- 2FA using WebAuthn (including in the mobile app)
Fastmail was the only option I could find that satisfies these requirements. So I went for it, and so far I'm happy with it. Some power features like template emails are a little hidden away, but they exist.
Fraud email provider
receiving invoices, I never signed up and don't even know they existed and receiving invoices in email for no reason
Setting up a family domain with four users was pretty straight-forward as was importing email from my previous server. The apps work well and features such as snoozing messages, masking (temporary addresses), aliases, etc are really useful. You get lots of storage for the price. If I had any criticism it would be that the UI needs optimisation in places but these are minor niggles, it's still five stars.
I have been using Fastmail for over ten years. It's fantastic, helps you easily do anything you need to set up a business with users, is reasonably priced, and most importantly is private. To me, simple is great.
One star - only because I can't give Zero star rating.
Business class email - do me a favour. In what business is it acceptable to raise a support ticket which gets responded to 4 days later with a reply that says the issue needs to be escalated and will take another week?
The only telephone number they have is a FAX machine - Come on, REALLY????
Terrible service, Non existent communication and impossible to speak to anyone, anywhere in the world ( I have tried).

Long, long time user of Fastmail (10 to 20 years). Have tried many, but am consistently pleased with the functionality, cross-platform/cloud apps, and integration with applications like Apple Mail (my client). Had one major event when mailboxes disappeared, but the service support was able to recover the messages after serious panic. I have 40GB of messages and attachments entrusted to FM.
Great and reliable service, using it for more than 4 years. Mobile app is also very good.
Four years ago I decided that products I pay for, over ad-supported, may be more trustworthy. Fastmail is more trustworthy, more transparent, and it consistently and carefully evolves features. This is a great tool and I hope to continue to take advantage in the years to come.
Used to brilliant but now that you have to pay for it, it's rotten. Difficult to download and use, trying to find a way to set on phone. Looking for a way to migrate all contacts to Google.
Outstanding product and responsive customer service.
I love that they keep enhancing the product (like Masked Email, which is amazing) and if you email customer support you’ll truly get a response within 24 hours.
Sadly we’re in a world where people expect email to be free, but when you pay for FastMail “you get what you pay for”.
Highly recommend this service!
I recommend Fastmail to anyone not willing to entrust their entire life to Google or Apple. I think my family has used Farmall for around 10 years. We host mail, contacts and calendars with Fastmail. We sync them with Android phones using the Davx5 app. (On Apple the sync works without an app.) The reliability is unparalleled. One of our favorite features is the ability to share contacts and calendars in the family. I like that my data is private and not mined and not sold. Thank you, Fastmail, for giving me an alternative to Big Tech.
Boringly reliable. Totally trustworthy. Super responsive on the rare occasions there is a problem.
I have been a happy Fastmail customer since 2005. That's an eternity in the digital world! They are committed to privacy, good email software, and continually improving. There are a lot of features and capabilities even in the Basic subscription. And you can have a choice of different domains, it's not just fastmail.com.
The only reason I give Fastmail 4 stars and not 5 is that it doesn't work well if you have a patchy internet connection. Gmail allows you to view emails when you are offline. The mobile app is particularly bad at this. I would like to compose emails which will send when I am back in wifi/4G range.
Been a customer for more than a decade, paying customer since 5 years+ (student, so rarely use any premium services). It always works, it's fast, it's not creepy like *mail.
There's no service around that has better features than fastmail, and they keep adding good stuff (masked emails).
The app is fast, low in resource usage, and just plain reliable. Calendar integration is equally reliable.
Support is courteous, fast, and complete (and human).
You just can't go wrong with it.
Overcharged and they will not make it right.
Happy customer for 9 years. I've had to contact support a few times about minor annoyances in the interface - they responded quickly, with a workaround or at least an explanation of why things were implemented in that way.
