I've had these guys service for 5 years…

I've had these guys service for 5 years a few little hiccups here and there but I'm telling you these guys come correct. Anytime we've had an issue with service or I somehow had to order a new SIM card or something without even contacting customer support if there is an interruption in their service that they are aware of and you were without service they compensate you for your bill without contact. I've received two months service because of issues they've had to deal with they have great service great deal on phones amazing financing it's Google let's go. Great service no issues let's get them new phones.

The data connection is very unreliable

The data connection in Geneva is very unreliable, which makes it hard to buy a ticket when a bus is about to leave. Often zero data connection, other times uselessly slow. If I restart my phone, I get 5g for a while, then it goes bad again.

This is my 6th trip to Geneva with Fi, and it worked well in the past, including 2 other times with this same phone.

Defective Phone & Poor Customer Service

I have been a Google fi customer for over seven years. I recently purchased a new pixel 9 Pro XL. Unfortunately, the phone arrived with a chipped lens right out of the box. I contacted customer service to request a replacement instead of a new phone, I received a used/refurbished one. I have now spent almost three hours on the phone with customer service, over the past three nights, they are refusing to send a new replacement and will not allow me to speak with the supervisor. This is unacceptable service for a loyal customer. I am extremely disappointed with Google fi here.

Google Fi is NOT unlimited data

Google Fi is NOT unlimited data. The data is greatly slowed after a certain amount is used. The bill was NEVER what they originally advertised ($65), it was always more ($72 - 100). At some point during and after my overseas deployment, I could no longer send texts to Apple users and my verification to access bank accounts didn't work.

Shop around - support has serious issues

The support is so subpar that I have been asked the same question multiple times by the same rep, and have to repeat information, and given answers that "are a different answer" but are the exact same instruction. Almost convinced it's an AI and not a human.

It's compulsory to use the app in order to perform basic functions such as to manage your voicemail greeting. They removed that feature from the website and also from the phone dial-in menu. You might not have luck receiving MMS if you don't have the app.

The phone I was sold was advertised to have an unlockable bootloader which was ultimately not possible to achieve.

Just bad

Wow, I had no idea their customer service is bad, but can only confirm the reviews here!!! My roaming data service abroad was cut short ahead of their 90days limit. I asked for an explanation and extension to the regular term. All I got is that they can’t explain it, if the system cut it off it must be right. And they were rude! Will be looking for another service

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. I need a new SIM card and it has to be shipped which will take a WEEK! A week with no phone is not something I can do. The fastest shipping option is 4-5 days!

Google Fi is the absolute worst…

Google Fi is the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. If they make a mistake, they blame the automated system, and have the nerve to hang up on you with a self righteous attitude.

Unbelievable and I hope this company goes bankrupt with these despicable practices.

Worst service ever

Worst service ever. Worked for 2 weeks and went down while I was traveling internationally. I spent day after day trying to get tech support to fix issues, it was never resolved. I also spent hours on the phone with them trying to trouble shoot. Alas, I asked to be compensated for my time and lack of phone usage. They still charged me. Steer clear of google fi. The customer support is a joke.

Avoid Google Fi Unless You Want Aggravation

After reviewing the services offered, I thought Google Fi would be great to have. Well, it's been a nightmare to start off. I ordered a Google Pixel 8A when signing up and it arrived quickly, the only problem, it arrived unable to power on and unable to charge. After multiple calls to customer service, I had to put a hold for the full price of a replacement phone in order to get a new phone sent. I took the old phone to Fedex to return. Well, the old phone's tracking shows that it was delived 3 days ago and the hold is still on my card. Two more calls to customer service and now a "specialist" is looking into the hold in spite of providing the tracking info and the person's name who signed for it. Guess I will ultimately dispute the charge with my credit card and do away with the service as I'm not wasting another second dealing with customer service that focuses on making every aspect of a resolution difficult. I would lleave no stars if possible.

They win, even when they're wrong.

Outsourced customer service that gives you word salad responses.

Impossible to talk to a manager with authority.

They tell you to disable 2-factor authentication on your Google account and tell you that is actually recommended.

I canceled a phone and they continued to bill the insurance on the phone (without service!) for months until I finally noticed and they refused to give refund.

Their app give errors (it's a Google Pixel phone!)

Now I see they are double-charging 1 phone number for insurance -- again!

They're scammers and they are ran by a call center that has their hands tied. Google Fi is worse than the AI product nobody uses.

Google fi buggy!

Google fi and even setting up an account is someone buggy. My phone that I ordered because I don't have an unlocked phone to use for that wound up being something that was just such a confused messy situation I decided to use Verizon.

worst customer support

Google Fi Has absolutely the worst customer service/technical support I have ever received from a cell phone company. I've only been there a few months and I guess I assumed that Google would have decent support. It is terrible.

FI Failure

I have been a long-time Google Fi customer, and although not perfect, I have consistently recommended Google Fi because of their customer service. Sadly, I am embroiled in a nightmare support interaction. I pay monthly for device protection; unfortunately, I broke my phone screen several weeks ago. I then submitted a device replacement claim and there was a significant delay in receiving the replacement phone "because of a bug in Google's systems". Disappointingly, when I did receive the replacement phone, it was broken. To make matters worse, Google will not replace the broken phone that they provided as a replacement to my original phone until I send their faulty phone back for them to "review." This will result in me being without a phone for 5 to 7 days. As a fireman who relies on his phone for life-saving communication, this is unacceptable (as it would be to any modern human). Google is clearly working to reduce costs in support services, resulting in a service level that I consider unacceptable.

No signal / customer service is a joke

When I joined Fi, almost two years ago, it was great. I joined because they used T-mobile, US Cellular and Sprint towers, so I had great service everywhere. Now, they've dropped all but T-mobile, and since I live in a rural area, I hardly have any service anywhere. They don't support roaming, so if I'm not connected to a T-mobile tower then I don't have service.

To make matters worse, their customer service is the biggest joke in the industry. When I first asked about having no service, instead of just telling me that they dropped support for the other towers, they literally told me to drive out to one of the areas where I had no service and then contact them back so they could troubleshoot the problem. Really???

No customer support

I have been using Google Fi for 2 years and the coverage is decent (truthfully better than Mint mobile). However, their customer service is an absolute joke. It is the sole reason that I am swapping to Verizon. For a multi-billion dollar company, you would expect a lot more. Straight Talk has a better customer service experience than Google Fi.

Absolutely terrible customer service

Absolutely terrible customer service. I've been trying to activate my Youtube Premium subscription that comes with the plan for almost 2 months now. I have an email thread from their customer support with 27 emails from them saying "Thank you for your patience, the engineering team is working on your case". As mentioned, it's been almost 2 months. PATHETIC.

Illegal termination after service is paid

This company is cheating people out of their service. Just activated on April 7th. My wife and I both. It says we have 16 days left on our cycle but is also telling us we have to pay 2 weeks in advance to use the remainder of our service that was already paid for. They never stated upon sign up that you have to pay in advance to keep your service. This is illegal! Not a happy customer! Lawsuit Google FI if this isn't fixed!

Customer support

Google Fi only has customer support that can tell you to turn on and off the airplane mode on the phone. If that doesn't work it is to remove the SIM and put it back in. Neither of these solves anything to get the data service working.
